@tenhundredkills well, because he uses the same scales i guess. but check this out mate. what chris plays at 1:35 sound similar to the second part of the epitaph solo which starts on 3:10 (look up the songs on youtube) and what chris plays on 1:24 sounds a bit similar to what is played on 4:00 in symbiotic in theory...i..guess :/
Well, it is a pretty big guitar, since its 7 string and his hands are not specially big. He is a pretty big man thought so its possible that his hands are bigger than average
I know it, and i love these bands with different influences. Listen to Cynic if you want. A lot of different inspirations. Better than that cliche metal, classical thing.
Yust think about him making a solo album. Now that would be mindblowing. Jeff Loomis guest solo on some songs. After listening to that I would probably try to find the parts of my brain on the floor.
@rawen127 You know what that shit means bro? That Christian Muenzner the former lead guitarist from Necrophagist's album Epitaph is the fucking shit. Check him out because honestly I have not heard a better solo album with other awesome band members as well. Same drummer from Epitaph with Christian too is in there. The solo album is Timewarp and you can find it here on the tube. Start with the songs Confusion, Dawn of the Shred, Wastelands, Soulmates, Rocket Shop and Over the Mountains (sickest)
@cortx2lh I wish metal was contemporary classical music.... however contemporary classical music is weird and atonal most of the time, lol Look up The Red Violin Concerto to see what I mean.
Yeah, especially if you're like me, I used to be a Blues Player so honestly I find Soulful solos more impressive rather than some crazy technical 8 finger tapped sweeped Arpeggios.
not sure i like this one. It looks more like a demo of skills than a musical composition. Might work for pianists, but it doesnt really sound too good on guitar.
This is what a "Virtuoso" of an instrument looks and sounds like. Complete mastery of his instrument and the theory behind how it works. WOW!
Vrituoso...wow....really agree bro...
"Hey, this is Chris Broderick and i will destroy your dreams to be a guitarrist in one minute."
Fat head you mean!
Lol exactly! I feel sad now
😄
😂😂😂😂😂I don’t know whether to head to the pawnshop or to go practice for the next week straight!😂🤘
Killed me
This is why I love the internet, I can just open my phone and watch a fucking god ravage a guitar effortlessly.
At that moment when you think you are getting good at playing guitar you come across this
He is a great teacher! It's very hard for you to be able to teach what you are playing!
wow the action on that guitar is perfect.
This guy is amazing, he should play in Megadeth or something.
[insert generic Smoke on the water joke]
I just sat here and listened. Didn't even attempt to try.
Jazz Crank MYFHC same dude
this made my day
Imagine if Chris Broderick, Tosin Abasi and Jeff Loomis did an album together. *Mind Blown*
Fantastic!
Of course!! Black seeds of Vengeance. Amazing album.
He really knows his theory! Wish he’d elaborated more to refresh some of our memory.
My goodness Broderick is a god
I like how he plays it so easily, that he has to double check how to play it XD
Anyone can be a guitarist but very few can play like this, you can count the number on your hand
even slowed down this is bad ass
Holy fucking shit dats awesome
Love, love, love in that order!!
Metal: Contemporary classical music
Hey this is Chris Broderick and you’ll never understand this.
Che grande professionista!
HEEEEEEEEEEEELL YEAAAAAAAAAH
Chris FTW!!!!!!!!!!!
But can he play the main riff to Enter Sandman?
Excel can...LOL! (look up "Tapping into the Emotional Void, it came out LONG before "Enter Sandman" and Metallica knew EXACTLY who they were...)
I hope,this guitar was 18
@rawen127 Because all of the scales and solos that are being played by Chris are being played by Christian Muenzner in Necrophagist in those songs yo
que genio!!!!
that was clear as mud! lol
does anybody know which panist oryginally wrote this piece and what is the title? I would be thankful for response:)
bet he can't play Nirvana
+donotfret nirvana's overrated anyway
lol
A child could play Nirvana dude, chill.
^^^ This guy doesnt know what sarcasm is !!!
lol.. don't worry I get it ... :)
@tenhundredkills stabwound in particular?
HOLY CRAP!!!
This is hard stuff !! 😨😰😰😰🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
@tenhundredkills well, because he uses the same scales i guess. but check this out mate. what chris plays at 1:35 sound similar to the second part of the epitaph solo which starts on 3:10 (look up the songs on youtube) and what chris plays on 1:24 sounds a bit similar to what is played on 4:00 in symbiotic in theory...i..guess :/
omg - sick stuff
are those hands too big, or is just the guitar which is small ?
great playing anyway
Well, it is a pretty big guitar, since its 7 string and his hands are not specially big. He is a pretty big man thought so its possible that his hands are bigger than average
@tenhundredkills
because it`s awsome. that`s why it is similar :)
too good.......!!!!!
But can you play smoke on the water though !!!
ROCK IS REAL MUSIC No he can’t to so leave him alone
THANKS CHRIS !!!!!! And guitar world of course and you flarcymarcg xD
Insane.....
well, he's using Ibanez...
he also used Jackson
i think chris should get with the Djent \m/
@RoxasDive i have a hard time choosing between him and loomis... haha.
Wow
Sounds like mealsteem Arppegios from hell
My brain hurts!!!! Can't play this!!!!
Why I'm even watching this? I burned my guitar already
I love him, but he seriously needs a damper on the first fret to cut the string noise and turn the gain down a tad
Michael Angelo Batio String Dampener is thé answer imo
..or just mute properly with his hands?
He probably likes his tone..
What was that?
@rawen127 You know what that shit means bro? That Christian Muenzner the former lead guitarist from Necrophagist's album Epitaph is the fucking shit. Imagine playing thiss on a markless guitar fret
@cortx2lh thankyou so much for helping me realise this :D
I think that I will need some centuries to reach his level. :(
@megatron515 let this inspire you to be better
chris save us from the apocalypse 2012
looks so imposible for my finger to make it
2:57
Ouch. That's me fucked. tremendous playing here.
Fuck it!
I'm so happy as my guitar has only 6 strings so I can find a good reason that I am not able to do this!!!
@cortx2lh I wish metal was contemporary classical music.... however contemporary classical music is weird and atonal most of the time, lol Look up The Red Violin Concerto to see what I mean.
\m/
With buckethead as his assistant. :P
I would love to hear what happens if he has 2 days to prepare... 'cuz this was only 1...
And no fret wrap
this is sorta that Beethoven piece Michael Romeo played on betcha can't play this
I hate when they go: "Well, basically..." *fucking rapes guitar*
Chris I need a new neighbor.. so come kick it next door, and show me how to do that musical arrangement...
Yeaahh..,, But do you know play Smoke on the water???
These Ibanez models are better than the Jackson! Sounds are cleaner. My opinion.
I feel like i know nothing about metal after watching this video.
7 strings 😳
I'm offended and this keyboards me
Haha I think its slightly sped up not much tho
he says 'hi ı'm chris broderick and ı'm gonna fell u like shitty guitarist'
I CAN'T PLAY THIS!!!
6 strings just aren't enough
small hands. i get it.
@@joddeurter2448 hey the smaller your hands the bigger it feels
Some of it, yes.
Yeah, especially if you're like me, I used to be a Blues Player so honestly I find Soulful solos more impressive rather than some crazy technical 8 finger tapped sweeped Arpeggios.
Someone was mad they couldn't do it.
@Blackened1994 false.
Nice, but he can play smoke on the water?
CoGdouglas I was about to comment that
1 dislike? REALLY?!
he needs to leave it on the bridge pickup the neck one sound like shit with tapping
maybe u need fretwraps...(?)
Jeff Loomis, my opinion.
He was very sharp and perfect with Ibanez, since he'd changed to Jackson he became sloppy.
Sounds a bit like yngwie malmsteen
Muy sucio aún sin taping.
Yea this guy is kinda okay i guess
yeah tell kirk hammett to do that and he'll pass out
Betcha can't play this...... of course you can't........
@mgr1000000 No.
not sure i like this one. It looks more like a demo of skills than a musical composition. Might work for pianists, but it doesnt really sound too good on guitar.
NERD! O'Doyle Rules!!
i threw my guitar in the garbage...
