shannon Allee go ahead and take the time, it is really quite interesting, seems /feels uncensored from YT in general and watch the ‘IMO am an addict”-no clue if that was the title, but u will know when you see it-but watch that first. Then watch the rest, it will put his situation into context, to understand that as great as he was, we was absolutely totally stoned out of his mind for every music video & every interview.
Only difference I can see is that he feels a bit more shy, in a way, now, if that makes sense. He is still the same crazy dude absolutely Loving & LIVING life to the fullest.
No clue how or why he came across joy ‘recommended’ list, so SOOOO happy I watched it! Have bought all his available music now.
Enjoy the ride, I know I am ✌🏽♥️🙏

Hate this being true as an recovering addict myself, but Eminem's greatest work came from the time he was using its crazy , addiction causes pain and pain is relatable I guess you'd think being sober should increase sales and views or whatever but it doesn't always work that way.

Sobriety never helped anyone’s career because the drugs gave them the ability- and drugs take it away. You gotta work for years to have ability that will last- artists are notoriously lazy and undisciplined. It’s why they cheat with drugs and can’t stop themselves.

To me, he was one of the coolest Warped performer's for many reasons like the feeling of just being at his show with all those other people who were all radiating so much love at once. I'll never forget hugging him in a most pit and getting covered in his sweat but being totally okay with it 😂 I feel like that, in and of itself, was real and wonderful. And I personally think that him not caring about others had a lot to do with the drugs; addiction has a funny way of contaminating people's humanity. But if anything, I think that him being sober is bringing out the best parts of him.

Mod, I’ve been following you since my younger years when I got introduced to you by following Meghan Hughes on UA-cam. You did a pizza talk with her a long time ago.
I fell in love with your music and your personality. I won’t lie, I always had this suspicion that some of the happiness you were portraying was not 100% authentic. When you decided to get clean and everything came to light I can’t tell you how proud I was and how much more I looked up to you. Everyone has their struggles and it was probably that much harder for you to have to be honest about everything. This has just made me love you even more. You’re so real and honest and thank you for that. It’s helped me with my own struggles.

Thought so. Now go do everyone a favor and get back to your cave you trolling loser. Make sure to never come back out seeing as no one likes you including your parents who probably couldn’t afford an abortion. Crack-babies are so annoying when they grow up. But it’s not your fault you’re like this. Thank your mom and her brother (your dad/uncle) for being poor, thus having your sorry ass be born because an abortion was more expensive than buying more crack. Now It’s up to the world to deal with their mistake (you, a crack-baby).

First, he does not look clean at all and I have seen people who look completely clean and sober and were using none stop and i myself can look squeeky clean and be high 100% of the time and no one would be able to tell the difference. its not hard to put yourself together and make the sobriety look presentable while high. I've dabbled in substances to help me cope, but after watching the transition between both of mods no jumper interviews, imma try and steer clear of that typa bull shit. If I'm not taking drugs or drinking, music is my main form of coping. I make it and listen to it and it means everything to me. I was watching this yesterday and I couldn’t finish it so I paused it and save it to my watch later list. During that little break I actually got on my phone and recorded myself talking. Without hearing MOD SUN talk about recording yourself and posting online. I literally just wanted to voice how I felt in my drug addiction. I don’t think I’m ready to post it yet but for some reason it was so therapeutic for me. It is very weird how (the universe or whatever) is working in my life now. I still can’t believe he had said that in the video kind of crazy how the universe does work sometimes. I was literally going to comment and say that I recorded myself talking just to get it out there. Just have my spoken truth in my story in the world even if I’m the only one that sees it. And then you come on and say all the shit that I’ve been thinking for the most part. It is extremely heartwarming to see someone say something like that cus it’s those little reminders from the world telling me that I’m on the right track. And now this is me showing my appreciation to the universe and acknowledging it so it continues to happen in my life. I just needed to say all this. I’m like a whole ass week late from this posting but idgaf. It needed to be said. 🤖

Dude, I really didn't know a lot about you Mod. You just made me a fan for life off this. Dealing with my own battles and issues. You are right, I needed a boost. Music is my therapy though, and it's the one addition I feel like I am blessed to have. Wishing you luck on your journey brotha. I'll pray for you!

This was AMAZING. I don't know how I stumbled on this video. No offence, I've never watched any of your videos before or had any interest in Modsun. But everything you spoke about resonated with me. It was so interesting, genuine and inspiring. When he was speaking about the "tortured artist" - holy shit. That hit. The way that depression and self-hate and drugs are glamorised. I've always thought "to be an artist you have to be chaotic and broken"... "Creativity only comes when you're in a bad place, so put yourself in a bad place" ... No, let the creativity come in calm and serenity. Let things happen. Just be. Honestly, this was just really great.

this is such an incredible video, ive been a fan of modsun for the past 6 years. Ive been to every show since in florida and now that ive moved to southern california, my boyfriend has also became a huge fan. He and i were at the starting show, and the last show of the last tour! seeing the growth and changes mod has been through has always been an inspiration to me and at one point my friend group and i actually hung out with angel white, and two other of the guys who were on the tour and we all played uno until the cops had came and searched the tour bus because mod had orlando smelling like weed. i had met up with angel white after the show and he was supposed to find mod to introduce me and nobody knew where he was, he had left before the meet and greet and i never got to meet him. but ill be at all of the socal shows for the next tour so hopefully one day !
