Its honestly kinda absurd that magnetic, the damage type DESIGNED to work best against shield units is so terrible. Maybe they should make it so that it deals a massive burst of multiplied damage after you've broken the shields of a unit? or maybe give it a side effect of a toned down Electric proc?
Exploding shields would actually be a really nice change to magnetic. I'd be into it.
Though what would it do to armored units and Infested in general?

Why deal with a trillion ehp on the steel path when you can bypass it? It's not that corrosive and magnetic are bad it's just viral and toxin are better.
It seems like sheer pants-on-head insanity that the faction with energy shields and full rebreather helmets are susceptible to microbes, and the guys with sci-fi plate armor have to worry about getting cut.
Shouldn't it be the opposite way around?
No.... The Concept of Damage Types Shouldn't Exist At all.... It's just a Contrived way if making your Game seem like it has Depth when it Doesn't.

To be fair the grineer are also wearing (I assume) rebreather helmets because of microbes (viral)
the way i see it, it makes sense currently.
Microbes probably stick to many many surfaces and might even bypass all the corpus shield and rebreather after a while. Meanwhile you cant really cut an electromagnetic shield can you?
And for the grineer, slashing their armor makes sense, same for puncturing as it would weaken and leave their armor more vulnerable. Maybe toxin microbes have a harder time invading the grineer armor or they are simply just resistant to it thanks to being cloned with chemicals and stuff
@@rivershen8954 There's a section in Venari's lore where the Corpus tech assisting her watched as toxic gas weapons used against the security personnel chasing him was utterly useless, as he knew it would be, due to the filters and helmets standard on Corpus soldiers. Meanwhile, our own gas clouds tear them to shreds. Also, with clone rot, the Grineer ought to be one good push away from melting into a pile of organic slush. 😉
This is why I love bringing Lavos to Corpus tilesets. He can hit them with toxin on top of other elements. Toxin plus heat is my favorite to hit them with

I don't think it's the algorithm unfortunately. Me and my friends used to play this game religiously back in 2019 in clans of hundreds of people but DE decided to nerf everything fun into the ground until everyone stopped playing. There's just not as many players for Warframe anymore.

Hystrix with viral heat and swap to toxic needles and that gives you a sheer combination of all statuses in one gun that can take on anything. Pair it with the status arcane and it can proc every status in the entire game.
Got a riven for it and it rolled beautifully imo

The reason you might want magnetic damage instead of pure toxin is when you are dealing with fissure missions, which have both grineer and corpus. Pure toxin will do great against the corpus units, but almost nothing to the grineer. So i have a few explosion tenet/kuva weapons that have magnetic as the progenitor element to deal extra damage to shields, gas to deal aoe damage (which does even more to shields effected by magnetic procs) and then hunter munitions to deal with grineer and hurt shields.
It's not perfect but my magnetic kuva tonkor is the only build ill use if i want to do high level steel path fissure missions so corpus stop being an issue, and doesn't force me to use another weapon to deal with them.
Additionally it's useful with grouping tools with gas or electric, since magentic is the viral for shields, so that aoe damage melts them very quickly. Ultimately magnetic could use a buff to make it a little more worthwhile but its not the worst damage type, like blast is.
This kinda explains alot of why adding toxin on the miter is kinda really good.

Ah Toxin, the best way to get passed a shit ton of corpus shields....tell that to the little man who carries granum coins during a steel path mission...he is immune to toxin procs. Most of my builds destroy any and all forms of steel path but it is almost impossible to kill that dude, and its upsetting since I only run steel path these days

arena endo farm is best if you want some fast endo. You can easily get 1000 endo/min with experienced squad, 500 endo/min for starters.
You can also run railjack as you get a lot of endo + credits +relics from it
Doing it Efficiently will Make you want to Quit Anyway....

Using the mutalist cernos for mastery, i reallised this myself not long ago.
No wonder saryn fucking nukes corpus. Toxic lash gives some nice toxic damage along with viral. It was making my status primer able to kill before I even need to use my melee. And that's in steel path.
correction it gives a seperate instance of toxin like volt shield and only toxin

He highlighted 2 base damage multipliers (arcane and point blank) and 2 multishot multipliers (galvanized hell and vigilante armaments) exactly as he said. Nothing seems to be highlighted incorrectly.
In that Case the choice to only Highlight 2 of the 4 Mods is what Tripped me up. 😬
