One night, back in 1980, when I was working at bookstore in North Hollywood, I was in a Denny's, having dinner.
A tall man wearing a tuxedo walked in. I wondered if he might be who I thought he was, but I decided not to say
anything The man walked up to the counter and a waiter handed him a large cup of coffee to go. The man just
walked out, without a word. After a limousine in the parking lot drove out, the waiter looked at me and said:
    "That was Neil Diamond."

@@tryton111 Thanks, Tryton. When I posted the comment, I would've put in a certain other point
of fact, but I was getting ready to do some more work on the novel I'm currently writing. As for
what that other thing was: Neil Diamond had one of his sons with him. I figured him to be about
      13. (As for Neil, he was, at that time, 59.) By the way, thanks for the upload with the lyrics. I had
not heard it in such a long time, I thought I remembered him singing, in the 2nd verse, "Tears up-
on my pillow" after "Weeping like a willow.") As you probably know, Neil D. has had Parkinsons
Disease since March of 2020. But, he still as active as he's able to be.

I also lost my dad from a heart attack. So sudden, no goodbyes, no chance to speak with him about my feelings and I miss him so much. Neil diamond along with Johnny cash were his favourite artists. Also the Lumineers. We played Patience at his funeral, give it a listen. It's a fantastic song.

Happy 50th anniversary to this great song by Neil Diamond!!! It was released right around this time in 1972(it’s early June 2022 as I comment on this.) Something about his songs have a way of making me think of Christmas; of course it just so happens there is that Xmas song of his “You Make it feel like Xmas all year long.” Thanks for posting; this song is on the album of his 12 greatest hits, Volume 12.

My mother was an excellent counselor. She would sit and listen, ask questions, offer a little advice, help me see things in the big picture, and challenge me to consider my thoughts as they relate to moral decisions. These brief sessions once in a while growing up really helped shaped my spirit and lifted me up. For a long time I couldn't remember the 2nd song that reminded me of her. A few days ago, it struck me and yet again I'm smiling when I think of her. She had a talent for turning sadness to joy.

I've loved MUSIC to this DAY- & a part of me you wont be ABLE to remove. WHY would anybody...its joyful to sing- & sing WITH- began when I sang on my moms bedpost since i was a little 2 years OLD..she WAS making the BED-- NOW at 50s+ i Doubt I'll stop NOW I don't want to stop the joy i FEEL ! My mother played on stage in highschool singing... My father and family loved the tunes in the car as DAD whistler & he was REALLY good! . Its just a part of our blood- even THOUGH one brother had an" allergy" of a sort..to the oldies.. As he told DAD in the front seat OFTEN.. Within tongue in CHEEK resigned to majority.. LOVE and JOY and PEACE- first 3 major spiritual fruits.. Sweet - never sour. I raise my VOICE and sing.. Raise your voices in a HALLELUJAH.. Hateful to LOVE ..JOY.. Then where is your HOPE. FAITH in MANKIND. MUSIC IS FOR ALL- not like land.. To become divided as a dividend.. Or PROPERTY- i sang in a PLAY at 23 yrs old. I have a GIFT thats from GOD- it KEEPS me outside depression- & DEATH.. The bad they care not ..
Theres NO ownership- they hate bcuz its a gift - please tell those WOMEN grownups - this isn't never WAS there gift. Ive never heard any one of them sing. EXCEPT MY MOTHER.. Encouraging all my life.. Its BECUZ of this common bond and its good.. I will not stop THIS bcuz of jealousy to own. They have SEPERATE gifts. I dont scramble into taking something NOT my own ... No desire. Not SURRENDERING value and realuty not anyone else. God above disappointment to let them take over. I DONT take husbands nor children's affections- emotional stealing. Oftentimes worse . Moral compass NOT a day in hell. Not my GOD.. Nor RULER over M.D.- mad mad World Dr.. If you knew over time you MIGHT understand.. Probably No- 3 bound TOGETHER- I'm fighting rights to existence-- lifetime of taking advantage of those having LESS-- 4 DEAD I am sadly aware. Fears of stopping communication- same as before- i dont KNOW HOW to STOP- took boyfriends ex husband my own. So SORRY overprotective i am alone - was put in this predicament- IM FEARFUL ABUSE WOMEN my sisters need a scapegoat- again. I was as child. Not them. Bound together as girls younger. Now dangers I've moved away. I knew they'd kick me out. DID no stopping- no safety net - im scared of all. Took matt- salave.. Same shit new man. &steven. - i dated 7 yrs Steven he dated same time ALL of them. i cant finish THIS sentence.. Out to - WILL HURT-- Have STOLEN so many things i must take a stand TODAY so i WILL LIVE- foolish women act like brats. . They have their. PERSONAL gifts cant HAVE someone elses not belongs to YOU.. my FATHER older too tired to fight amoung all the time. Seriously what could he DO! Grownups she be acting like grown-up- not swinging teens within an ORGIES.. Not present at. It HAPPENED- God help to stop the bs.- people HAVE passed.. Getting mixed up. My intents i want to LIVE- not be falsely accused.. Then emotional MORE and more.. / FEAR-- NO MORE - fearful unfairly robbing others - 3 against 1 sister. Parents have lost control yrs ago. OVERCONTROLLING ALSO. Mom suffered anoroxia 19 yrs of age- could of past. I WAS 300 pounds 2001.. Control OUT of control- FEARS overpowering everyone.. Only stronger to overcome overpowering LESS STRONG- this is 3 people have perished by suicide- EVERYONE gone crazy. THEY LEARNED to get HELP pirating from the scapegoat girl but now a WOMEN- 3 sisters MUCH STRONGEST- + FEAR- = DANGERS TOOK MATT HE TOOK MY THOUGHTS FOR PAYMENT OF CASH. MYSELF/ CRAFTY - NOT TO BE IGNORED- LIES STRAIGHT LOOKS AT YOU.. MYSELF& MY TOOLS MY DREAMS HES AFTER NOW! SO ONE PERSON- AGAINST A FORCE OF DEVIANT -MEANING TO - IMMATURE 3 SISTERS NO THERAPY- ACTION OF CRAZYMAKING.. FEARFUL- NO DIRECTION- ACTIONS FRACTURED- MUST WORRY.. AS FAMILIES ORIGINAL.. INESCAPABLE- I SAW JOHNNY ONE BROTHER TRY. DEAD ONE YEAR NOW- HE TRIED SO HARD TO HELP IT COST HIS LIFE ONLY IN EARLY 40S SUICIDE- EVERYONE HANGS ONTO ME IN TERROR. I HATE PAIN. I CANT HELP BY MYSELF NO RELY ON THEM. THEY HANG ON TO CAUSE A WRECK NOT MY OWN! PIRACY. STOLEN MY LIFE MORE TRUTHFUL- FORCING YOU - WRENCHES CONSISTENT UNDER THE HOOD TRYING TO FIX PROBLEMS ISSUES. COULD KILL ME. THEN TURN BLINDLY ON THE KIDS - BURNT OUT. I WARNED THEY CANT SEE NOR HEAR ME. WILL TURN ON ME DEFAULT..TO HURT ONLY. JOHNNY HAD THIS HAPPENED. I MUST SPEAK THE TRUTH.. IM BACKED AGAINST A WALL / TO LARGE PART MONEY IS GOD.. IT WONT CANT SAVE YOU-- IT CAN WRECK.. PAYING OFF ALOT OF OTHERS SADLY TOO HARD IM IMAGINATIVE MUCH MORE MY WAY FOR THERAPUTIC THERAPISTS- ANALYTICAL I HAVE.. NOT LARGELY! HELP THE SONG OF THE BEATLES- IS VERY APPROPRIATE- THEY ALL REACHED A PLACE OF CRAZY- YELLED HELP! TIME.. CHANGES WERE REQUIRED.. TOXIC INVADED TILL NO RETURN- CHANGE OR DUE.. DONT HANG ONTO ME - COMPLAINTS FROM YOURSELVES WHO DO NOTHING BUT THREATEN SITTING HOME. ROLLING IN THE MUDD DOING NOTHING. BUT ATTACKS INDIRECTLY OR DIRECTLY. DO NOTHING. STOP IT NEED THERAPY NOT COOL RICH PEOPLE ONLY IMAGE OF WEALTH.. I THROW UP LITERALLY.. YOU CARE NOT A WORD NOR A THING. BRATS WHO BITCH GROWNUPS! YOU HATE IT- YOU DONT CALL THE SHOTS. NO COMPLAINTS.. WHEN DESPERATE FOR HELPING - .CUZ UR CAUSE YOU REFUSED AS LONGER. .

My sisters are hanging on - 3 to 1- overwhelming- they are overpowering. Help me. Themselves desperate NEEDS - not listening- sponging off. USING no usefulness involved..for me NO - im trying EVERYDAY- but underneath unhealthy BLAMING. Not my problem thiers NOW i got ISSUES- .. Holding me down. Im not good swimmer. . NOT helping themselves. I must talk on machine because MUST communicate i havent friends matt was subtracting 💰- hes gone.. Dont believe gonna stop betrayals- greed.. And abuse of bad CRAZY BAD- help me to FORGET HIM- required.

God bless YOU, Mindy. My mother-in-law suffered from dementia and she enjoyed music. She tried to sing along with Frank Sinatra.

Now we know what Neil meant when he said "every garden grows one"
