- Pinhead is in Dead By Daylight and I'm gonna cross my fingers real tight. If DBD falls apart again after only one Killer being added I think they're gonna have to pull out the EXTRA special bloodpoint apologies.
But on the bright side, this is the first video I've ever made on my new computer. Technically upgrades, amirite?

I always joke that he's "saving" the survivors from the Entity because the Entity just forces them to suffer with no end until they're just husks of their former selves. Meanwhile in Hell/the Leviathan's Realm there's at least pleasure in the pain you suffer, and eventually there's an end to your stay in the Leviathan's Realm.
With the Entity, there's *no escape.*

This game was based on 80s horror. Hence why Michael Myers was our first licensed killer. Following with Freddy and Leatherface. Pinhead is not a B license but that's your opinion and it's fine. DBD has gotten so big and im glad people are now finding out about Hellraiser. The franchise isn't good but the first 2 films are great.
I also enjoyed the book the hell bound heart.

Just my opinion but the first 2 are kinda confusing and boring
What's odd is without all the other movies to up their villainous status, the cenobites arnt really the bad guys in the first 2 films. Their a dangerous and evil force but are mostly neutral; they are only really their for Frank and anyone else that meets their profile, they are fairly disinterested in the heroine. Only the later films make them a more active villain, so without the later and shittier films they wouldn't be adapted to more active roles like their DBD appearance.
"The first 2 films were great..." that's pretty much every horror movie from that Era lol.
It's funny watching the movie because Frank and the mom are much more of the antagonist than pin head and the cenobites. He is just 10 times more marketable and was also in almost every movie after the first one.
It's mostly a movie about corruption and honestly I did enjoy it. But Pinhead isn't really a part of it.

Whenever my old ass brings it up (I saw it when I was like, 8 years old, and several years after it was in theaters) I get to feel like an idiot defending a good movie because of the stupid decision of its creators' to slap Pinhead all over the marketing when he's barely a part of it.
Like, the character is imposing as Hell and whenever he speaks he's patently awesome.
But he's really just the crackly sugar topping on the creme brulee'.
The mom is named Julia, and pinhead became a big character around the 3rd movie, but in HRIV, in my opinion, is the movie where he took the show, the survivor was shit in that movie and it was just all about pinhead.
While Pinhead does indeed drag survivors into hell, they return once blood is spilled on the ground they were dragged from as seen in the last great Hellraiser movie, Hellraiser II. If you hadn't noticed, a drop of blood tends to get spilled in Entity's realm sometimes.
And yes he can leave the realm as long as someone somewhere else solves the lament configuration.

As for the pinhead Mori, I was always under the impression that the entity gets cucked by all of the Moris which is why he only really hands them to killers to make sure they don’t riot.
Lore wise I dunno how the entity controls Nemesis. I'm not saying nemesis is more powerful but like it's a walking killing machine, with no umbrella people controlling him anymore, meaning he's now just left on hunt mode like a way worse Freddy Fazbear. In my head canon the entity just told nemesis every human he sees is STARS.
Its theorized that the Entity can't do jack and is often irritated with certain killers. Michael Myers breaks the trial rules constantly and enjoys the trials, and since he can't die or feel pain the entity can't punish him. Pyramid Head is similar, but since he isn't a physical monster, but a concept, the entity can't punish him. Pinhead is just too powerful and can straight up leave and take whoever he wants to hell at any time and the entity can't do anything about it. These three constantly break the rules and don't serve the entity's interests, but punishment is impossible on them, so it's forced to just let these guys do whatever. Some food is better than no food

@@puffpuffpassmako The Entity can do quite a bit, but like you had said he can't punish certain killers. Trapper is riddled with scars from his punishments. Michael is kinda let off the hook since he slightly bends the rules but the Entity finds enjoyment in how he hunts the survivors. The Entity is actually being punished by Pyramid Head, which is why he has a built in Mori. Pyramid Head is basically starving the Entity since it won't get food if a survivor doesn't die on a hook.
I'm excited to see how the killer from The Ring plays out since she has a built in Mori and another method of killing with the tapes (after 7 minutes if you don't copy a tape you'll die instantly). Seems like she'll be a very greedy killer that will starve the Entity.

I have played pinhead 3 times, lv 1, 1 yellow hex plaything, no addons.
And at the start of each game i turned my camera, and chose the furthest point/generator away from me, went there and found the box. There are rules as to where the box can spawn.
And what are those rules?
@@theparrishshow9803 The box can't spawn near players. So get the perk that lets u see everyone at the start of the game and go to the point furthest away from you and them. If you don't use that perk, just pick a direction/gen furthest away and go.

An incredibly underrated movie too. I think most people dislike Hellraiser because of how the media portrays it, but when you watch the first movie it’s nothing like how you would perceive it based on the infamy of the cenobites.

@@bombthing The dude in Judgement at least had some of the markings of Doug Bradley to make Pinhead sound and act a bit more refined and menacing. The Pinhead for Revealations just came across as to polite, and not terribly menacing. Beyond that the plot between the two were night and day
@@Diresilence I'd say the plot for both were just as bad as while Revelations had a god awful plot, Judgement was just a rip-off of the film Seven. And the Pinhead in Judgement was barely in the film and we were stuck with the Auditor.

Oh great, I'm the guy who read the book that Hellraiser is based off of. Yep, it was a book first. Mind you, in the book, Pinhead is described as having a "light, airy voice" but then Doug Bradley seduced us.

I saw Hellraiser long long before DBD was even a thing Clive Barker does do some amazing with his horror.

Honestly, I’m really excited for survivors to try and hold the lament hostage. They can’t do Gens while they are holding it, so they’re gonna basically take themselves out of the game for free and giving you a free teleport to them once you’re done with the others for at least have one person on hook to break up tasks. It genuinely seems like something that survivors who get their rocks off on just being an asshole to the killer actually will have consequences for doing just that, which is kinda fitting for Pinhead.

Whoa whoa, I read “The Hellbound Heart” before I saw the movie. And I saw that movie on grainy VHS rented from Not Blockbuster like a proper civilized person.
Based entirely on the strength of the first movie, I saw one of the sequels (4? Pretty sure it was Bloodline) in a theater. I was the only person in that theater on a Saturday afternoon and it was amazing. Not the movie, it was a total diaper fire and sucked like something out a Dyson fever dream, but the experience was top notch. Doug Bradley always brings his A-Game. He just brought it to a D- production.
Anywho I’m just letting you know I’m old and my horror and Clive Barker Bona Fides are all in order.

The first Hellraiser is a trip. It's a lot more of a thriller than supernatural horror, but that's because Clive Barker directed it himself after he felt other directors fucked his stories up by making them too horror-centric
In what world would Hellraiser or Pinhead be considered a B-Level horror character?
All cause one is young and knows more about cheesy modern anime than horror, does not mean the character is any less.
And to any people curious on the Hellraiser series, let me give you a pro tip, stop at part 4.

i honestly have to agree w the B level tier, i know the horror genre pretty well, and have only met one person my age who knew hellraiser and he was only wearing a t shirt of pinhead.

What it comes down to is how well you really know the horror genre and how well you understand storytelling. Take the movie "Prince of Darkness" (1987) did you know that the majority of people who have seen it think that its about the anti-Christ trying to help the devil cross over into the world of men? In reality the stakes were much higher since the being they were dealing with was the anti-god who is essentially the god of anti-matter. You could watch the movie at face value and see just the religious side of things but john carpenter purposely had scientists involved in the story to explain what was happening on a quantum level. So in other words from a quantum perspective we know that the anti-god exits the church in the year 1999 which was 10 years after the movies present day events and we know this cause a dark figure is seen exiting the church during the dream sequence and whoever is filming the event tells us the year so in other words according to quantum mechanics the place and time of his appearance are locked in but the form the anti-god will take is still fluid depending on the decisions made by the characters in present day. It might sound complex and it certainly is but the beauty of the film was that you could just watch it at face value and even if you didnt see the depths of the story you could still enjoy the movie and understand enough of the story that you were never left feeling confused. Id say the biggest flaw is that the first half of the movie is a slow burn that is not easy for low attention spans to get thru but by the halfway point it.all starts coming together. This is just one example of a horror movie I would call high tier and yet it was not a box office success and is considering by many to be a cult classic as one of John Carpenters fan labeled end of the world trilogy.

It was releases on my birthday, and I say that despite being born 8 years after the movie's release.

yo, in all seriousness, i would totally listen to a video with just a blank screen and you playing guitar in the audio. as someone else who works unhealthy hours to try and create content by a deadline in order to appease people with no idea who i actually am, i found that guitar music really relaxing.

BHVR is exceptionally good at one thing, making killers who look great on paper but stops just short of actually being threatening to any survivor that's played the game for more than 15 minutes.

Dude I love your vids! But as a horror movie fanatic, Pinhead from hell raiser was way more exiting than nemesis, just because a few people you asked didn't know, hell raiser is a cult classic and even number 2 is, I reccomend you watch them people are usually pleasantly surprised 🤟
Pinhead was not originally expected to be the sensation he turned out to be when they first made the film. In fact, he wasn't originally going to be the lead cenobite. But circumstance while filming brought him to be. The unexpected affinity that fans had toward him are what brought on the subsequent films. The first hellraiser movie is based off of a book by Clive Barker called The Hellbound Heart. The main horror element is the looming presence of the cenobites in the background while dealing with the horrific things actual humans are doing in the earthly dimension. The cenobites remain ominous and mysterious by only appearing when necessary. And when they ARE present, it's fucking revoltingly terrifying. An amazing book.
I first saw Hellraiser about 17 years ago... See, my aunt used to host movie nights every weekend and once all the kids passed out and were put to bed, she'd put on horror movies for the adults. Well, it just so happened that I couldn't sleep on one of those nights and I snuck down to see what the grown-ups were watching...
And that's the story of how little ol' nine-year-old me was _TRAUMATIZED_ by Hellraiser... 😃

Now that I've done my duty as a 30-something Hellraiser fan, here's my opinion. Pinhead is good, his perks are good, and he's fun to play. The newest dev announcement fixed a bunch of his problems too. He may not be as "hype" as Nemesis but he's objectively a better killer.

It's got a 57% on metacritic, it's a B license, maybe even a C.
@@TruCloudGaming well Metacritic gave The Conjuring a 68%, a movie that solely relies on jumpscares, so yeah it doesn’t surprise me that they’d give Hellraiser a super low rating. They also gave Halloween a higher rating than The Exorcist when The Exorcist is generally agreed upon to be one of the best films of all time, especially of the horror genre.
Good Guy Pinhead rescuing people from the Entity. In the Maze you experience everything, pain, pleasure, all of it. In the Entity's Realm it is just going to keep grinding the hope out of you until you lose your personhood.

To answer Pinhead lore questions: Yes, he can literally just leave and he can literally just take survivors to Leviathan. Killers that transcend planes like Sadako and Pyramid Head can just treat the Entity's Realm like another one of those planes, meaning that them disconnecting is actually canon; the player left, so did the killer.
I imagine the Killer Campfire has gotta be pretty uncomfortable when Trapper and Blight talk about having their bodies mangled in exchange for the "privilege" of hunting forever whilst Pyramid Daddy can just go back to Silent Hill if he's bored of tanking pallets with a giant pallet-breaking point on top of his head

He’s underpowered, his chains should be harder to break out of instead of basically being instant. Got to have survivors have a high win rate or they will bitch and moan.
I really wish they'd buff all the weaker killers already to just below what a good blight can do. I don't know how they could do it, but even a blind attempt would work. Losing every red rank match because you play Myers, Trapper or Legion is depressing and they DEFINITELY could buff them to be better without being bullshit.
@@Klausinator451 one Idea for a trapper buff is to have him always have two traps, traps won't randomly spawn but spawn active and near gens.
Bro his fine just cause he isn't Nurse or Huntress(or any of the other easy/op killers) doesn't make him underpowered.
His entire gimmick is add more time to the timers, if the player base get used to him and he becomes as weak as trapper than talk about buffs than not within the 5 days his been released.

That one undisarmable haddonfield window, Badham hallways, one in some grass next to shack or by the window.....I wouldn't say all of the same should spawn like that, but 2 or 3 wouldnt be the end of the world.

Hellraiser was actually one of the most influential films in the history of horror cinema, much like the book it was adapted from "the hellbound heart" was one of the most influential books in the history of horror literature. The first two Hellraiser films changed the way horror is being approached ever since and if you pay attention you can see their influence in many following movies.
It is a sad thing indeed that so many people have not seen those films and don't know who "Pinhead" is, but will instantly recognize a lame Resident Evil villain...

Reading pinheads description made me realise I’m terrible at typing but Fantastic at reading
My dad was a truck driver, and I once when I was like 4 or 5 remember peering over the bunk bed and seeing them watching Hellraiser. Still haven't watched it as an adult, because my young mind was scarred xD.

I grew up with alot of older horror movies especially A Nightmare on Elm street and Hellraiser due to them being my moms favorite movies and I was so hyped to see pinhead in this game

I was more so thinking Aubrey as the Killer, with her ability being gaining tokens after landing M1s that can be used as a Follow Up depending on how many tokens you have. Her terror radius would just be "It Means Everything." Omori could probably work too with that though.
