@powersurge_beast just because a character has a command grab in their kit doesn't make them a Grappler. It's a similar deal to characters like Wario, Mii Brawler, or Kazuya in Ultimate: they may have command grabs, but they are pretty clearly rushdown characters

Probably not the devs doing this. last game they had high level smash players under NDAs doing the spotlights so thats probably what they are doing now

I'm mean it be cool but they were just wrestlers with one unique move. I don't think they have alot to work with, and I honestly don't remember much of them.
Ehhh they’re not really doing the late cartoon shows. If they were we’d see big hitters like dexter, powerpuff girls , samurai Jack first but seems like they focused on older classics and a couple modern ones that blows the charts like adventure time
But I wouldn’t mind mucha Lucha I kinda want all three of them to fight together. Kinda like ice climbers but with three

El Tigre coming back (in a fighting game but who’s complaining?) like this…just feels so unreal. The series was *SO* underrated & deserved so much more than what it gotten. But Manny is here, back in the spotlight & that’s good enough for me
If anything, Manny is also a great addition to the roster! Wonder if we'll get nods to Frieda or Manny's parents.

Been wanting him in a fighting Nick game for years. Sad he didn't make it into the first ASB so this was hyped to hear he's finally in.
I love how his arms can just appear on his head, it’s so reminiscent of the actual show’s art style and is so fitting for such a cartoony game.

I can see inspiration from the Star Fox characters in his moveset, with how fast he is and how good his combo game is. I wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up being a top tier character 😂👏👏

@@Eldoofus it's actually not that rare, some other characters like zetterburn (rivals of aether) and fishbunjin (slap city) also have neutral special shines, fox has it as down special because it was never intended to be used as a shine, just a reflector
Those four specials translate to "Roar", "Hook", "Illusion" and "Flash". Which is fun because half of those are already names for Pokemon moves, and the other half probably should be someday
Jorge R Gutierrez must have some role in this game because there’s no way anyone else can animate El Tigre better than him

True but they’re probably saving the iconic unique voice lines for launch for us all to see. I wish each characters had specific lines for their opponents. Like SpongeBob talking to Patrick

El Tigre was my favorite Nick show growing up. Seeing him in anything in an official capacity makes me so happy. Then I saw he’s like a combination of incineroar, zetterburn, and wolf so SIGN ME THE FUCK UP

You know there are truly passionate people behind this game when they show undying amounts of love to characters that had so much potential for more seasons for their respective shows, but Nickelodeon didn't see it that way.
Since the leaks, I was hoping that El Tigre would be fun to play as. Going off of this footage, I can't wait to play as him!
IF all the Star Fox characters from Smash Ultimate, and a few others, had a child, Tigre would be that child.

@@nicofire31 Wolf's speed is what made him balanced.
This isn't inspired mainly by the spacies in Ultimate, but rather is heavily inspired by PM/P+ Wolf. The up-special being used as PM/P+ Wolf's side-special as a finisher is one of those tells. Not to mention the waveshining shield pressure and combo starter x) That character was so much fun to play, so I'm really exited for this guy!

Once again, y'all are really showing how much you're able to improve on the last game with these animations. Like, El Tigre just looks phenomenal. His attacks, his model, and especially his expressions.
My favorite part of him is something minor I focused on. You guys actually put the time to model his smile, and even gave it depth when going through the mask. It's pretty awesome to see. It could have easily just been a texture, but you took the extra mile to actually model it. I love that!!
El Tigre was never my show, but I am VERY happy that this character is in for those that was into the show. And shows the range of Nick cartoons there are.
Is this the first time he's included in a Nickelodeon crossover? If so, I'm glad Nick is really adding a more diverse set of characters with great fighting styles and awesome arenas
He was a playable character in the DS version of Attack of the Toybots (and I’d play as him and Danny every single time, haha), but as far as I’m aware that’s his only other appearance in a Nick crossover game! I’m overjoyed about this!! 🥹🥹🥹

What a great addition, the animations and moves look great to use on El tigre. This is the type of character that can make a game fun to play and watch

El Tigre is a show following Manny Rivera, a middle school boy with a mystic belt buckle that transforms him into the super-powered El Tigre.
Manny is torn between using his powers for justice, like his father: The superhero White Panthera (he uses magic boots), or using them for evil, like his grandfather: The supervillain Puma Loco (he uses a magic sombrero that turns into a mech)

I suspect that the next newcomer to be revealed will either be Gerald or the Angry Beavers, as they are the more standard picks. Azula, Ember, and Arnold’s grandma are all a bit more out there, so they’ll be saved for later on. I suspect Vlad Plasmius will be talked about in a more story-based trailer.

Everyone comparing him to Wolf is correct kit-wise, but in terms of animation, expression & art style, El Tigre’s like the Toon Link equivalent of All-Stars. The show’s personality was translated perfectly!!

Damn, you guys are on a roll this week. I certainly didn't think El Tigre's showcase would be dropped the very next day after his reveal; figured it would have been spaced out and some other characters would have been shown off next.
Don't have too much to say about the character himself though; moveset is pretty straightfoward. Not really sure what makes his neutral special so.... special, since it appears to be a rather basic attack, unless there's something I missed. Do think a better Super would have been to have White Pantera and Puma Loco team up with him to all attack the opponent together, sorta like Shulk's Final Smash in Smash Bros.
Still cool to see him in the game, even if I never saw his show back in the day. More shows being represented and more fighters who can actually, well, fight are always welcome.
