Lmao it isn't that simple. Many enemies in random areas, quests have many enemies you can't avoid going through. Literally the highway men were almost a problem last time. You actually cannot avoid enemies in this game unless you choose to skill inside cities and never venture anywhere or do any quests.@@gnubbiersh647

@gnubbiersh647 Some enemies have things called ranged or mage attacks, meaning they attack from a distance.
Now that giant rats are no longer aggressive, you can hit 43 prayer without seagull murder by dropping into the edgeville dungeon. Down the ladder, take a right, take a left, then there's a small room with 4 bone spawns and 3 giant rats. By no means the most *glamorous* way to get protection prayers, but the game *will* hand you prayer experience (slowly) without risking combat with a creature. Kid me back in 2005 lived in that room for two days to get protection from melee before dragon slayer lmao.

Amen. Bone burying is underrated, and there are a lot of good places with natural spawns that you can camp.
Back in RSC running around the Bone Yard picking up big bones was the fastest way to train prayer (other than buying dragon bones), and a safer second option was picking up the many bone spawns at the Khazard Battlefield, but those spawns never made it over to RS2.
I took a look on the wiki for the bone spawns, and I agree that the 4 in the rat room in Edgeville Dungeon are probably the best place for him at this point. Everywhere else is too dangerous. I suspect that the reason he was at Ferox Enclave in this video was because he was checking out the bone spawns south of there (but there are aggressive mammoths nearby)
There are also a few big bone spawns (bone yard and giant pit) but those are also too dangerous for him.

I’m part way through the second one at the moment and enjoying the series. I said to my wife that it reads like the author has played computer games as it almost seems like the characters have a levelling up and skill unlock system.
@@partho00 Yeh the magic system has RPG inspirations to it but at its core is a character driven magic system which works well for a story!

for anyone wondering, the Songs of Chaos is a FANTASTIC book series. I've read them twice so far and will re-read them again every year from here on out. it's got such good characters and plot. Plus, it's well paced and pact with action and good character arch's.. and filled with cool twists. you will fall in love with Holt and Ash, and all the other awesome characters! trust me.. its damn worth it if you like dragons and fantasy.

I got your book right after J1mmy first recommended it, and I got through it pretty quickly. Was a really good read! It really seemed like it was exactly what you were trying to create, with all the tropes and all. I think my favorite part would have to be the first time Soverign showed its influence in the court chamber, really proved just how strong Holt and Ash need to become. Keep up the good work

From a production standpoint you're just doing everything right, a lot of us have been here since your OG UIM days (Only Helmets - "We Play Hard" era) and your growth as a creator has been an absolute joy, instead of allowing maxing your main to be your peak, you've produced masterpiece after masterpiece, this is the most excited I've been for a series in a while (Swampletics forever holds a special place in everyone's heart; Escape Rooms and early/late McTile were also some of the most entertaining content OSRS has ever seen, you're unstoppable =)
I'm a uni prof who teaches eastern religion - was just talking about how 108's a lucky number in Buddhism and Hinduism in class today. This is definitely the run! Can't wait to watch the journey.

avoiding that place until protection prayers dw (although you CAN run to the door without ever being touched by a tree, if you start on the correct tile)

It would be impossible without a bank because things like inventory juggling would be crazy hard without death chests

For fighting seagulls you can use the runelite plugin menu entry swapper to switch left click on ONLY the seagulls to attack so you don't have to right click them all.

I started watching Swampletics near the end, and managed to binge it in time for the finale, watched all of Tileman as it came out, and now I'll do the same with this one!

I almost think that this playthrough should have certain "checkpoints" to account for the multiple potentially disastrous resets. Like, now you've completed the dwarf fence grind, if you die, you should be able to start AFTER it. Same for other incredibly risky and lengthy grinds. This might run counter to the spirit of the challenge, but imho would be a way to preserve momentum and not run into a case where Settled died and 4 months go by where we don't hear anything from him because he had to restart everything and grind like a madman.
yea this would be fair, make the first checkpoint the dwarf cannon and the second the fire cape so it isnt a huge time save or anything. would allow videos to come out consitently even if he does end up wiping
Definitely agree with this.
This is similar to the rules used by another well-known 0 damage youtube run, SmallAnt's Pokemon Platinum No Damage video. He allowed himself to save after every gym battle IIRC.
It’s entertaining in large part because the stakes are high. If we know that losing means nothing (or at least much less), it would feel kind of pointless, because it kind of would be.
It would mean that after fire cape or right after dwarf he could go immediately take another large risk over and over until he beats that one.

@@flames2089 Sure! I love Tolkien and George RR Martin in equal measure and try to sit somewhere between them. Inheritiance Cycle was clearly a huge influence on me growing up and it's partly why I wanted to try my hat at the dragon rider epic. I felt we were missing out in the nect 'big one'

For prayer xp you can do wise old man tasks in draynor.
Should be safe and you can drop tasks that aren't taking messages to npcs. You can also drop trick tasks to complete multiple at once
In terms of accidentally attacking stuff: you could use something like the cursed Goblin bow with no arrows while you're walking around and then what you have equipped will determine your aggressiveness.

you can get prayer by doing the ice mountain quest and fishing and praying at the alter thing. I have a level 3 (now 6) account that trains prayer that way
The golem fight at the end of the quest would almost certainly kill the account, even through the mining method.
