- In 1970, during Elvis Presley's engagement at the Las Vegas International and filmed by MGM for the movie ELVIS: THAT'S THE WAY IT IS, The King paid tribute to his friend, the great B.J.Thomas, and covered his smash hit earlier that year, "I Just Can't Help Believin" during his show. And now, on the eve of the 36th Anniversary of Presley's death, the singer returns the favor and performs "Suspicious Minds" in his honor. This man has the gift of an angel's voice and a dignified kindness that few men have ever had. Deeply in love with his wife and a strong forte comittment to God. Full of passion and emotion. His songs are played everywhere, but the impact of Rock and Roll Lullabye in Brazil is phenomenal. I was on a remote beach in Brazil when his voice sang this beaufiul song on the radio. He is truly one of the greatest singers to ever live and one hell of a classy gentleman.

On his live rendition of this song, BJ hangs on a little longer to each note, lets them hang out there, than Presley did and the reason is simple. Presley was doing a lot more than just singing the song and doing so, hitting those notes, that is, whilst holding on to every position imaginable, namely standing, on his knees, AS WELL AS simultaneosly performing karate moves.

I'm sorry to not acknowledge Elvis having a bigger hit with this song (number one for one week in 1969 and the song was on the charts for thirteen weeks), but, what does it matter ? I understand Elvis is big in your life, but you must understand that Elvis did not have first dibs on every song written. Oh yea, this was Elvis's 82nd top 40 hit.

fun song,wrong key BJ,audio not very good either,sounds like u need a good sound engineer.
Sounds like G to me, which i believe is the key Elvis performed it in! The meter is just faster. And you cant expect the sound from a outside source to be great.
