I really appreciate your thorough reviews of Amouage- they’ve been super helpful as I’m getting into the house. I’m a big fan of Halfeti already so it was interesting to hear your comparison! I’m wondering if you have any thoughts on Amouage Lineage? I’m leaning towards getting a full bottle of that one as I want a more frankincense-forward experience
@@impossibletangerine9785 Lineage is a beautiful fragrance, it’s super wearable, fresh and unique. Despite this, Copal Azur from Aedes de Venustas is a better version of that in pretty much all aspects.
Thanks. You made an interesting comparison. I have a 2012 bottle of Epic woman and the current formulation is not as bad as the male counterpart (they neutered it). somehow the 56 extrait is closer to my bottle - the very first amouage I bought - it feels less "airy" than the newer one and that energizing part about which you talked about, never fades away, so much as I cannot wear Epic woman to bed as it won't make me sleep. There should be more attention to the female amouages withn the community. You mentioned Myths and Figment, two stunners: I hope you willl do them justice with your usual excellet reviews. Cheers
@@alexceraudo9383 thanks for continuous support! The energetic aspect of Epic is the most unique aspect of the perfume and I could totally see it as not really suited to bedtime. Figment and Myths are exceptional 👍
Thanks m8 . Great stuff iv been keen to buy epic woman as epic man Is my favourite Amouage but think I’ll probably just go for the new 56 I think Thanks again
Epic Woman is just a true stunner, it should actually be called Epic unisex, because it has no gender, it's just an outstanding oriental composition. Lovely Comparasion, brother!
It's beautiful and I agree it's completely unisex, the name doesn't even feature anymore but I personally don't have an issue with wearing labeled "woman".
Always great to watch/listen to a new video while getting ready for the day 🤜🏼🤛🏼 Have you gotten your nose on Penhaligons Blazing Mr. Sam, Daniel? It’s similar to Penhaligons Halfeti but spicer/smoother imo.
I’ve only smelled Halfeti briefly and was not a fan. The scent profile of Epic Woman however, is a win. I wear Epic 56 more than Epic Woman, it is very similar, but more towards the epicenter of the ‘blast’ of this scent profile, and the notes are closer together. I also like Mon Nom Est Rouge by Majda Bekkali which is also perfumed by Cécile Zarokian, also hugging this scent profile hence a win. I don’t particularly see this as a rose scent, I like the composition as a whole and the rose happens to be a part of it. I don’t have enough space available to write down the good things I smell and feel while wearing this. It is truly awesome.
Epic is a beautiful concoction, I agree, except for the opening, it's not really rose forward. Gorgeous stuff but it might be a little similar to POAL for me to have it.
Here's to "girthy" fragrances. 🥂😂 You nailed Cecile's social appeal too. Always been a fan of Epic Woman and much prefer it over the men's counterpart. Plenty of takes on Halfeti out there too even in the designer realm. The Cedar flanker my personal fav of the line.
It’s very interesting; I’ve experienced this a couple times now, where upon sampling a new fragrance from a particular house, that it smells so similar to others from the same house(this happened with Epic Woman, which smelled incredibly similar to Boundless for the first week…it was only in sampling several weeks later that I could smell how distinctly different they are!). That said, Epic Woman is really beautiful, and while it’s quite rose forward, the rose isn’t overpowering like it is in so many other perfumes.
Well, it's a sign you can point out a common dna. I think Amouage might use the same raw materials for a lot of stuff as I also get that sometimes (Interlude and Silver Oud). The rose in Epic is fresh and not too intrusive.
Great video! I own Epic woman myself, however I rarely wear it. For some reason it makes me feel self consious but in a uncomfortable way. Just stay from the regular Epic man..I got it last month and it is way Watertown..can hardly last 30 minutes on both skin and clothes. It used to be very good and long lasting but not any more...
This worry about Epic Man's underwhelming performance has been appearing on fragrance boards since at least 2011. My 2024 was abysmal too. Given how long this criticism has been voiced, I suspected that some of us are really nose blind to a good deal of the ingredients in here. That could still be the case to some extent, but I will say: after having let it sit a few months it has come to life big time. I noticed the same thing happen with Yugawam.
