- (EN) "Mazurek Dąbrowskiego" - anthem of Poland and "Hej Slaveni" - anthem of Serbia & Montenegro (also the anthem of the former Yugoslavia) - two very similar-sounding national anthems played during the football friendly match in Kiev between the Polish national team and the national team of Serbia and Montenegro federation.
(PL) „Mazurek Dąbrowskiego” - hymn Polski i „Hej Slaveni” - hymn Serbii i Czarnogóry (również hymn byłej Jugosławii) - dwa bardzo podobnie brzmiące hymny narodowe zagrane podczas towarzyskiego meczu piłki nożnej w Kijowie pomiędzy reprezentacją Polski a reprezentacją federacji Serbii i Czarnogóry.
(SR) "Mazurek Dąbrowskiego" - himna Poljske i "Hej Slaveni" - himna Srbije i Crne Gore (takođe himna bivše Jugoslavije) - dve himne vrlo sličnog tona koje su odsvirane tokom prijateljske fudbalske utakmice u Kijevu između reprezentacije Poljske i reprezentacije Srbije i Crne Gore.
Yugoslav player: Our anthem???
Polish player: No, it's our anthem.
Slovak in the stadium...Open my beer both of you.... It is ours :D
Audience: Booing while wanting God of Justice played instead (as this video was in 2005)
Ah yes, Indonesia vs Netherlands

LOL!
The got confused by the Polish anthem
Not uncommon, as the anthem is the same melody repeated multiple times it is often shortened to a short single stanza version, however you dont always know if it will continue into the second stanza
It’s like Chinese and German anthem! The identical anthem!
Actually, the former Yugoslav anthem is a partial copy of the Polish one and is around 40 years younger. The funniest part is: while Józef Wybicki was the author of the original Mazurek Dąbrowskiego, Hej Slaveni was written by a ... Slovak guy (Samuel Tomášik). Now, try to find Liechtenstein-England and Estonia-Finland.
Wybicki*
@@retrix9169 Thanks! Corrected
I think England uses Jerusalem instead of God Save the King if I remember correctly.
The anthems are quite different to me.
Especially the chorus.
In the Yugoslav anthem the first verse repeats its melody in the second.
In the Polish the last note is lower.
Right
The Polish anthem is also more dynamic
They're both cool but spending all my life in Poland the Yugoslav anthem sounds off
lol they played Polish anthem twice
Its a pan slavic song
Is the same like greece and cyprus..
What do you mean?
@@retrocube7572 Greece’s and Cyprus’ anthems are kinda same
@@gett_ Not kinda, they are fully same. Both Greece and Cyprus have adopted 'Hymne to Freedom' by Dionysius Solomos as their national anthem.
@@georgiosioannispappas both are Greek 😋😋
and finland and estonia
Very similar! Like German and Austrian anthem!
Austria did actually use the Melody of Germany’s anthem for their’s during the Interwar Period
They had to change the instruments
🤣🤣
Did they play the same anthem twice?!?
No, Polish and Yugoslavian are just similar, Polish is faster
@@mifka3349 it is the same lol it was just a variation on a pan Slavic anthem made by a Slovak lol
@@macakucizmama831 it's the opposite - it is Pan-Slavic anthem based on Polish, not Polish on Pan-Slavic.
And no, as a Pole I can assure you that they aren't the same.
@@Derpowsky yeah, Slovak prieat Sámuel Tomáši took inspiration from an old Polish song Jeszcze Polska nie zginęła, póki my żyjemy ;) When he was in Prague and saw that German language is so widely spoken, revolted he wrote a song Hey Slovaks, and later added Slavs in general.
@@Derpowsky but I said some things wrong, you are probably right that is is based on a Polish before it was even Polish anthem.
No i teraz kogo czyi hymn xD
Nie wiadomo, czy ten komentarz napisał Serb czy Polak...
@@StarskiPL tak
Hymn polski jest szybszy
Wykonawca tekstu hymnu polski jest znany ale kompozytor nie. Więc któś potem mógł w Jugosławii wykorzystać ten utwór do swojego hymnu
@@zatemerie3816 ojoj, chodzilo ktory jest spiewany w jakiej kolejnosci
I wonder why is a Yugoslav fan singing to the Polish national anthem if you have this back in the old days 130 years ago it would have been something like England vs German empire/Switzerland due to both using Heil dir Im Siegerkranz instrumentals with Different lyrics
