- Short video from my last trip to Old Fincastle Rd. in Kentucky to attempt to climb over the highly popular rock obstacle.

Too many guys with jacked up wranglers and 4runners calling this a "fiat" as an insult. If they actually knew anything they would respect all rigs and do their research. People run these Renegades HARD(moab, badge of honor trails). But they wouldn't know because all they care about is Wrangler which is sad.
Thanks for that comment! I do get some hate once in a while but at this point I don't even listen to it. I just let my little Jeep do the talking.
Congratulations on the technique and for representing the Renegade owners so well. I'm the owner and fan of one, here in northeastern Brazil. I'm also the butt of jokes and I think the same way as you, I let the cart speak for itself!! Could you tell me what the suspension and tire setup is?? Thanks
@@roberiomuzzio3660 Thank you for the comment! I have 2" Rough Country lift with Eibach springs in the rear only. I have 1.25" spacer and run 265/65/17 BFGoodrich KM23.
Exactly. The renegades certainly are not wranglers. But.. that doesn't mean they aren't capable little suvs. My friend has a Wrangler JKU on 35in tires and a 3 or 4 inch lift and he's surprised how well these go. We don't go anywhere nearly as easily as a wrangler with several feet of clearance . But if all they are looking to do is casual jeeping and not the usual "beat the doors off my jeep" , then the renegade can keep up
@@SirHeadly84 Agreed, the Renegade are very capable and I would dare to say more fun since you have to figure things out twice before trying out an obstacle.
Really cool Jeep Renegade setup! Specially the tires... But you need to upgrade the front bumper to a metal one too to do this kind of thing with it
Thank you! I am lookin into it right now.
I run an '84 CJ7 and my wife runs a '23 Renegade and she keeps up just fine. I might suggest a locker upgrade to keep the traction on your Renegade. It sure helped my wife's. Great video!
@@kansaspatriot2051 Thanks! you installed a locker on your wife’s renegade?
@ I wish! The Jeep ActiveDrive system doesn’t really allow her Renegade to use a locker. I’ve got lockers in my CJ and love them. I’ve had them in at least the rear pumpkin in most of my Jeeps. The ActiveDrive system isn’t bad, but it’s more like AWD, so it’s better than open diffs but not the same as a locker.
@ I’m sorry, I misunderstood and read that you had added a locker to your Renegade. I have never heard of anyone adding one.
I didn't see anything like that.. good wheeling for a tinny jeep... I'm impressed
Don’t listen to the haters, great rig, great wheeling, keep it up but may want to unplug those airbags lol.
Thanks for the cheers! I will keep those air bags in mind 😂
Nice to see it doing some hard crawling. I winced when the bumper came loose. But these are such capable little 4x4s. Took mine to Moab and had a blast.
When Wrangler fanboys call it a Fiat, I ask how they like their 4wd minivan, because most have the same pentastar motor. Shuts them up quick.
Yeah, Wrangler owners hate a lot these Renegades, I just let mine do the talking lol
The worst part about the non TH Rene is the bumper and lack of recovery points.
The bumper really ruins its approach, and appearance. Recovery points should be self explanatory.
Badass renegade
Hi friend, can I ask you what tires you use, I love your wheels especially the rims!
Hi and thanks for the compliment. I have 265/65/17 BFGoodrich KM3 on 17" Method wheels
It did very well for what it is👏
Where did you get the rear tire mount?
I bought it from Avid long time ago.
I am no expert but I've driven alot off road in baja thru many remote trails, I have both and awd lifted soft roader and a body on frame proper 4x4 suv and I can honestly say about 98ish% of the time the soft roader is way more than enough, it's good to have the security of a 4x4 but in reality a lifted awd with good tires can accomplish many many trails.
I'd like to see a Crosstrek attempt this. Unfortunately, they're all parked at Whole Foods or Lilith Fair.
I’ve been thinking about getting a 2023 Trailhawk myself. Is yours lifted at all?
Yes. I have a video with all the mods in my channel. Feel free to check it out!
@@nazgul_renegade Thanks. I'll take a look.
Is losing your front bumper really rock crawling or is it stumbling around stubbing your toe?
Just recently got a renegade what wheel and tire size are you running and was a pinch seam mod needed to reduce tire rub

Hello, have you sent a lifting? What size wheels do you have?
17" wheels.
@@nazgul_renegade my 215/60 17 , plz you
Is that a regular 4x4 renegade or a Trailhawk? Auto or Manual?
@@get_out_there Latitude 4x4, Auto.

Youre braver than me 😅. Couldnt push either of my Renegades to do that.
Braver may not be the correct word 😂
Appalachia is hellz on a donkey much less that sweet ride great driving 🇺🇸 🌲 🚬
What spare tire carrier u got ??
Avid bumper with tire carrier.
Sick renegade. Looks like fun
thanks!
Wait until after you're done driving! Don't fix it now you're going to just tear it off again 😂
@@GooberGobbler-f7q already replaced!
The little Renegade is legit.
Ignorant haters do not know Italy's rich history with 4x4's.
The Fiat Campagnola was a capable 'jeep', as was the Alfa Romeo "Matta". Lamborghini had the predecessor to the Hummer, the LM002, and Lancia dominated rally racing in the 60s-70s and 80s.
Nazgûl does it again! ❤
of course!
Is your Renegade 4x4?
yes, it is.
Why are you killing your Jeep 😢
no worries, it is doing fine :)
@@nazgul_renegade until your burnt up clutch packs give up the ghost because you dont have the gearing to 'crawl' with that tiny motor....all those times you are full throttle and none of the tires spin....borrowed time on the clutch packs...
This is why low range transfer case is a requirement on many groups rides.
Good on you for pushing the limits, but please understand why proper low range gearing was invented in the first place.
Because he is a fool who think's he owns a true truck 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Half of the car stayed on the way... 😅
That hurt
just a little :D
Without lifting up, even Rubicon can do nothing.
This is not even a trail hawk thats why he took his bumper out
Lol there's really no difference between the trailhawk and a latitude 4x4 except some extremely 2 extremely minor things that can easily be swapped out

Minęło ponad 5 minut, przyjacielu.
you need a trailhawk
I have never seen the need of having the trailhawk :D
@@nazgul_renegade not that you would really need. But the bumper with better angles will help for example.
@@GustavoHenrique86 yes it would help for sure.
