Not only did this woman have to endure years of this - all these men around her and none of them stood up to protect her because there’s no way people didn’t know Just goes to show once again, given the opportunity to actually protect a woman in danger, they fail consistently and completely
Not just men, if true, Joy Taylor dismissed Faraji when she told Taylor about the harassment. It’s a culture thing at Fox, not just bad individual men.

To get an idea of how stressful this must have been for her, the Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy she mentioned is meant to help reduce the physical symptoms of trauma and PTSD. Just got a nose bleed from trying to mentally project a hedge of protection around Mina Kimes. Please keep these Joy Taylor accusations away from our ball-knowing queen.
People really need to read this suit for themselves, because I'm sorry, that suit actually portrays Joy as a straight up victim, and people are just jumping on the train to bash her as a hoe sleeping her way to the top, and it's a lot worse than that. A lot. It really bothers me how much of a disaster this whole thing is publicly. It straight up alleges in the suit that another front facing women was fired from Fox sports for refusing to sleep with the same exact guy. Literally the next page after Joy is accused of sleeping with the network head. Then the suing woman herself claims she was fired in retaliation for not playing ball, and that they were going to start rumors about her to get her reputation in the industry tanked. This is some Weinstein type stuff. And the honest truth is that while I'm sure the woman suing has a TON of merit, she is milking, and taking Joy down is a part of that process. She's suing for like 18 different things- improper workplace relationships, lost wages, travel expense reimbursement, overtime wages, racism, sexism, ableism- and I DONT BLAME HER FOR THROWING THE BOOK. But part of throwing the book is making Joy Taylor look as bad as possible. And what makes her look bad is that they make it sound like she's the mastermind on the same level as the men, when there's no indication that is true. No indication that she isn't on the same level as this hairdresser who would get fired and smeared on the way out if she didn't play. Like, the lady said Joy told her to 'shut up about the inappropriate relationships because he is what got him there, and she is what's keeping her here, and they can both be gone if she talks"... That's not her being in charge and threatening this woman, that's her WARNING the women that they already ARE threatened. The lady in the suit says joy got divorced after the Dixon scandal was found out, and that's probably true! It doesn't mean she was having a fling, it just as easily means she was being sexually exploited with her career on the line. And what's the big bad wolf statement that people are really slamming Joy for? A hearsay statement alleging that she said she would "just file a false SA allegation against Dixon once he's no longer useful to her", which, 1) makes no sense, as the head of network will always control her career, and 2) WOULD BE LEGITIMATE ALLEGATIONS BY THE OWN LAWSUITS STANDARDS, SINCE IT ALLEGES THAT FS1 FIRED WOMEN FOR NOT SLEEPING WITH THAT VERY MAN. The only difference between Joy being in the same exact position as this lady and Joy being an evil mastermind hoe are 'statements that the lady heard in an elevator' type stuff, the tone of the lawsuit that would naturally want to besmirch her, and franky sexism, as nobody seems to want to consider the history Hollywood has with women over saying 'oooh big booby sports lady did raunchy thing'. This lawsuit literally says "I, a woman, was inappropriately approached sexually by multiple men, and fired and smeared when I didn't play along, and also Joy Taylor was mean, and she was inappropriately advancing her career, because.... By all accounts she too would be fired and smeared on her way out the door if she didn't sleep with multiple men. That was bad when Weinstein did it, it would get any boss fired and make any woman a millionaire in a corporate job, but because Joy is on TV and succumbed to a power dynamic that could literally ruin her life, she is the bad guy"
@Derapy respect. And I'm not saying you did a bad job talking about it or anything, it's the greater discourse that's insane. I'm telling you, if you go to the filing and control F "Joy Taylor", it's like ten minutes of relevant material. If you read it like she is an aggressor who used sex to rise unfairly, the facts and quotes can paint that picture for sure, but if you read it like she is a victim telling another victim to lay low because they'll be punished, and who was passed around by a Weinstein type figure, the facts line up just as well
2025 is barely a week old! Her suit is so detailed; I absolutely believe her. The sad thing is that saying no to him is likely what kept him obsessed. I don't put anything past powerful men.
Her saying no is exactly what kept him obsessed. It's all about power with these types of people. It was about him exerting his power over her and how good that made him feel to be able to do that. All SA is about exerting power over the victim, by making them feel humiliated and lesser than.
It's insane that this man is related to best non-hispanic/latino Mexican chef Rick Bayless. Heavy stuff this episode. I feel really bad for Ms. Faraji...I can only imagine the stress and anxiety a situation like this would cause.
For the first time in my life, I was sexually harassed by a coworker and I cannot explain how scary it is to have a man making inappropriate comments and trying to make inappropriate physical contact with you. Thankfully, I never had to be alone with this man and he held no position of power over me and he left the company soon afterwards. I cannot even imagine what Ms. Faraji was going through trying to make sure she could put food on the table for her children and trying to placate somebody who could take away her livelihood with a snap of his fingers.
I wouldn't be surprised if that first coworker she confided in advised her to gather as much evidence as possible. If she recorded their phone conversations, had her phone recording while they interacted, definitely writing everything in a diary, it all benefits her case as evidence, even if she couldn't get justice anytime soon. Having that paper trail is the smartest move she could make.
32:43 (commenting for the homie Derpy) "The more you say no, the more I want you" sounds like some serial diddyist talk 😭 I'd have quit if I was in her position. My mental isnt worth any amount of money. I can find better if I already made it that far

This is such a gross, painful example of how being an attractive woman in the workplace is a double-edged sword. Even if you do everything right, act professional and mind your own business, some weirdo can still project all his fantasies onto you and make your job a living hell. I hope this woman gets enough money that she never has to worry about supporting her son again.

Honestly, this just sounds like a complete nightmare for Ms. Faraji. This is something that I would absolutely PRAY would never happen to me or anyone I know. The potential for a win and a huge payout from the network is not at all worth it for how this has tainted Ms. Faraji’s career as a celebrity (or even regular) hairdresser, and I can’t imagine that the risk is worth lying about a continued series of events like the ones she has taken the time to inscribe.

What if when he offered the 1.5M she said "I'll Skip" and he thought that meant yes 🤔
💀
My dad used to watch skip all the time. This is so insane.

Thank you for covering this.
It was a hard listen, but her story should be told. It sucks that we have to say “allegedly” towards unacceptable behavior. #BelieveAllWomen #MeTooMovement
Derrick is getting in his journalism bag on this one
Had to
COME ON NOW SKEYUP YOU CANT DO THAT SKEYUP
Honestly, this just sounds like a complete nightmare for Ms. Faraji. This is something that I would absolutely PRAY would never happen to me or anyone I know. The potential for a win and a huge payout from the network is not at all worth it for how this has tainted Ms. Faraji’s career as a celebrity (or even regular) hairdresser, and I can’t imagine that the risk is worth lying about a continued series of events like the ones she has taken the time to inscribe.
I'm not even interested in this I just played it while I was doing the dishes in the other room so derapy can get that bag.
You’re real cool for this
Oooof this is gonna be a rough one 💀
It’s a WILD one
