Get the UP (Ultimate Platform) from Eastern Woods Outdoors. You can just mount it to the top of your last stick. Your basically going to build a one stick. It works extremely well with the ring of steps and allows you to use them to there full potential. The difference is the UP will have the platform above the standoff unlike a regular platform. This allows you to place the Bullman steps slightly above the platform and you can shoot 360 degrees around tree just by walking around the steps using the corner of the UP to kick off of. I can send some photos. Its one less item to hang and tote because your stick and platform is one. Putting a cam lock with rope makes it better to and a lot faster.
The bullman's ros is great. I run it by itself for most of the season. It's comfortable enough for sitting which I prefer. I have no idea how some people stand on it the whole day.
Great setup Josh,I'm practicing climbing for using treestand ,waiting for stand to arrive,I kept climbing with one stick and harness,,never recieved treestand ,feel like I've been practicing for Saddle Hunting ,which looks amazingly practical ,.,Great Video ,
If you’re running beast sticks check out the raptor 12” platform from beast gear. I just put one on my top stick and use that with 5 treehopper steps. Having the platform already on your stick is the way to go in my opinion as there’s less things to fiddle with, carry and strap. I also rappel down it’s a lot safer in my opinion and gives me the ability to one stick or bring my top stick up a little to better hunting height without worrying about how I’m gonna climb down. I would really recommend getting enough steps to move around the tree to make that shot on deer coming from behind. It seems like a lot of movement but with the right cover and timing movements right the difference in taking that shot is night and day. You’ll never want to turn behind to shoot again if you can help it. I also try to find a tree slightly wider than me for using the ROS. For areas where there’s only one tree to hunt from and it’s smaller and less ideal the smaller platform will keep you tighter to the tree and less likely to be silhouetted. At least that’s my experience.
On my bow/equipment strap I use those clip on retractable badges. I take off the badge and clip on calls, rangefinder, cell phone, or whatever else. It gives me less mess of strings and the items retract back to the tree. Check em out
Had the latitude gear holder an went back to the tetherd I think it gives you more adjustments for hanging gear. Love the videos Josh keep them coming 👍
Another geat video Josh! - been watching your videos for a while now and didn’t realize you run the exact same set up I do including the Xwing and I too have been thinking about getting a Rebel for next season and then I saw the 20% off code and that pushed me over the edge and just ordered one. Thank you!
I had two bucks come in fast on my weak side last season two days in a row at the same time after going through that I decided on Bullman ring of steps.
Continues practice out of your saddle, then you become a ninja of techniques and forms and ad the traditional bow, and now your the ultimate predator. No better feeling and high, my guy.👊
Josh, thanks for reinforcing the point of using platform with steps. As you are tinkering your set up for the up coming season, would you be interested in trying a climbing platform? Osprey Outdoors will send you one if you have an interest.
I have tried the saddle hunt and still do it, but leaning toward just using my go to Lone Wolf Alpha 2 mobile set up so I can twist, turn and move around. Saving 5 pounds on a setup is not a win for me. I tried the ring of steps and found them to be noisy when they clang together and not comfortable enough for an extended sit. .
So would latitude have a tether I could use with my beast gear? Sorry, I'm really naive about saddles. I have the linemens belt, but once I'm on the stand I'm looking for something.
So josh, you didnt like the x-wing overall? Not enough room? After spending a season in it a review video would be cool. Im curious because i run your same setup and swtiched from a predator platform to the x-wing to try this year.
Love seeing the bullman ring of steps! They don’t get near the amount of recognition they deserve
agree
Check out the hang free attachment system for your platform and sticks if you got the cam buck straps for them.

Yeah that's the setup right there man.

Glad you mentioned the rope sizes with the ropeman 1, I was unaware, I bought new, smaller ropes, and didn't know it wasn't rated for 8mm.

Josh I've been using the latitude saddle myself for several years!

Now is definitely the time of year to get your gear ready or try something new.

I got the sqaure lattitude platform and i love it.
On the pull up line do you just attach it by caribeanier?

Nothing wrong with that stand
Just to clarify the 20% only works for one item. I thought it was the entire order. Thanks for the code! Much appreciated!!
Hmm I'll ask about that sorry about that
@@beforetheecho no problem man. It’s better than nothing. I wasn’t complaining about it. Just wanted to let everyone know. Keep up the good work!

Yep it would be the vapor line
Great video! Are you still working with Dan? I’m surprised they aren’t getting into the platform/ one stick game.
I still talk to Dan but I'm not involved in beast gear. I'm not sure what they have got going on.

Oh no I liked it for sure. Just wanting to try out a bigger platform to see if I like it better.
You ever do single stick josh ?
I have not
👍 🙌
