Spirit of Tasmania 3 was a Sydney to Devonport ferry and was certainly not a catamaran. You're showing a mix of Spirit 1 and 2, with the new ships coming late this year. Those aren't catamarans either and don't go as fast as you say.
@1:31 you state "at #2, we have the Spirit of Tasmania III. This impressive high-speed catamaran ferry ........ ". @1:43 is shown two Tasmanian 'ships' - neither one is a 'catamaran'.
They also show the images of the 2 new ships - Spirit 4 & 5 neither of which are in service yet and are slightly slower than Spirit 1 & 2 which I think are also faster than 3 which is no longer in Australia.
Thank you for your kind words! We strive to be clear and concise in our videos, and it’s wonderful to hear that you appreciate our efforts. Stay tuned for more content that we hope you’ll enjoy!
You are so wrong about the Spirit of Tasmania… you have showed clips of what 4 & 5 will look like (currently being built) aswell as 1 & 2 the 3rd was sold years ago and looks completely different. Also they aren’t fast at all
You don't even mention the Queen Mary 2. It has a top speed just over 30 knots and a cruising speed of 26 knots. But I understand, Royal Carribean probably paid alot to get on this video.
Several times I have taken the hydrofoils from Hong Kong to Panyu, China and back to visit our family's condo there! Old tech which has been around for decades!
FYI, "The Spirit of Tasmania III" is almost identical to the Superfast ferries that connect Greece and Italy and sail in this route for the past 30 years ! (we are talking about sister ships here)
Spirit of Tasmania II and I were Superfast III and IV. The video is incorrect. Spirit of Tasmania III (not shown in the video) was Superfast II, and that is now the Corsica Ferries Mega Express Four.
Over half the ships shown in this video are not the fastest in class currently in service, or in history. There are a number of cruise ships currently operating which are faster. I even went for a cruise on one of them in 2016 and it’s still in service. And it is considerably faster. And that is with its gas turbine unit mothballed. It’s only using its diesel engines! Even today, the fastest ocean liner to sail the seas is still the SS United States and it’s been parked since 1966. The Zumwalt destroyer class is not the fastest destroyer class built. Not even close. It’s more optimized for stealth than speed. The fastest speed reached by a destroyer was 45.25 knots (83.42 km/h or 52 mph) by the 2,900 ton French destroyer, Le Terrible in 1935.
Yeah I know the cruise ship enchantment of the seas goes 24 knots I was on it going on it top speed bc of medical emergency. The harmony of the seas goes 25 knots making it the fastest in the fleet. The quantum of the seas is actually one of the slowest in the fleet
I recall reading that the USS Enterprise's top speed was set at 30 Knots but that its top speed wasn't known because they feared that if they let its turbines loose, the water pressure could crush the bow. I'll wager that all of those carriers have similar restrictions!. Their true flank speed is unknown!
When Enterprise headed back to the Persian Gulf after the 9/11 attack, it had all 8 nuclear reactors running wide open, and it beat its escort there by quite a few hours, with its unconfirmed estimated speed claimed to be close to 45-50 knots. It left its destroyer escort many nautical miles behind.
@@Maddoktor2 Heh... you made me think of back in the Army, when we were in convoy to a training site, the speed limit for the deuces was set at 40MPH with a catch-up speed of 45 if a truck had to stop for some reason.
With the smaller boats. I see where a Rogue Wave would not affect them as much. Maybe losing your meal. But with the large ships will be very serious problems.
Royal Caribbean International's Icon of the Seas is a mammoth 365 meters long (nearly 1,200 feet) and will weigh a projected 250,800 tonnes. I love the grounded reality of this channel!!, Despite the Recession I'm so happy withdrawing $35k weekly profit out of my investment and can now afford anything and also support food banks here in Louisiana
Spirit 3 was a smaller boat running sydney devonport run and was retired back in 2006 the pictures you show and the new boats due in 2024 none are as fast as you claimed get your facts correct 😢
typical yank tosh really though, so now go research the Condor Vitesse, but yet its a yank video, so no one else can have the glory now can they, even if it is theirs to rightfully have. just the same as a yank navy military videos, alas would like to see their chances facing off with Russia's Peter The Great though,, you know their Bismarck sized battleship with far better deck gun range and accuracy, owe and an arsenal of state of the art weapons systems.
I would never set foot on a cruise liner and I hate cats ! You guy are just trying to make a living out of putting together stuff that has already been seen on UA-cam. I’m sure that you will succeed if people are gullible enough to like your stuff, however I notice that the number of views far exceeds the number of likes.
These vessels are a disgrace, as how can a whale, or Dolphin etc, possibly get out the way, before being Slaughtered by being hit by these disgusting things.

No they are a joke no idea what they talking about regarding spirit of Tasmania
Thank you for mentioning the knots and mph.
@1:31 you state "at #2, we have the Spirit of Tasmania III. This impressive high-speed catamaran ferry ........ ". @1:43 is shown two Tasmanian 'ships' - neither one is a 'catamaran'.
Maybe they are tied together normally...
They also show the images of the 2 new ships - Spirit 4 & 5 neither of which are in service yet and are slightly slower than Spirit 1 & 2 which I think are also faster than 3 which is no longer in Australia.
Good and great work for you❤🎉
Correction, this channel has no background research
spirit of tasmania is not a catamaran but a single hull type of vessel
Very Nice 🎉
The only YT channel that actually delivers, succinctly, on the title of the video. Thank you.

Nice vedio 👍
the spirit of tasmania III is not a catamaran but a single hull
1:25 Spirit of Tasmania 3,,, Doesn't look like a Catamaran to me.
Better go to Speck Savers!
We must have Tasmania spirit ferry for ferry between Bharat mainland to portblair in Andaman Is.
You missed ocean liners. The SS United States still has the record for that.
ua-cam.com/users/shortsgSC5GsZLCB4?feature=share
Very surprised you did not mention Stena hss 1500 passengers 375 cars 51 kn top speed, service speed 40kn, 19663 gross tonnes.
SS United States still the fastest ocean liner ever built
but they didn't give him a 20% off voucher for next cruise... lol

I have a brother who works on the "Spirit of Tasmania II" He's the chief purser and at night is a security guard...... Pete from Tasmania. 🚢
Were they built in Germany?
Spirit of Tasmania II and I were Superfast III and IV. The video is incorrect. Spirit of Tasmania III (not shown in the video) was Superfast II, and that is now the Corsica Ferries Mega Express Four.
True speeds on the USN carriers is never released, at full emergency power, probably find them in top 2🤔
ua-cam.com/users/shortsgSC5GsZLCB4?feature=share
You missed loads of ship Qm2 liner the only one 32 knots
The Spirit of Tasmania 3 is a single hulled vessel, with a service speed of 27.3 knots. Your information is incorrect.
You forgot the SS United states at 35 Knots

What do you think the the final outcome for the SS United states will be?
Yeah I know the cruise ship enchantment of the seas goes 24 knots I was on it going on it top speed bc of medical emergency. The harmony of the seas goes 25 knots making it the fastest in the fleet. The quantum of the seas is actually one of the slowest in the fleet
Fred olsen express is made in our country in cebu Philippines

Doesn't matter much how fast they are, they can't outrun anti-ship missiles.

THERE ARE WAYS TO MAKE EVERY MASSIVE SHIP TRAVEL 3 TIMES FASTER WITH 1/5 THE POWER!!

Spirit of Tasmania is not a catamaran. And single hull boat in that size doesn’t do 44 knots.
هو ليه المحتوي الجميل ده مفيش ترجمه
The Spirit Of Tasmania 3 you show is not a twin hull catamaran and is not a fast ferry.
RMS Queen Mary 2 is probably the fastest cruise ship 29,62 knots.
58 knots -107 km/h
People board a cruise ship to relax. So why give the craft enough power to return early.
With the smaller boats. I see where a Rogue Wave would not affect them as much. Maybe losing your meal. But with the large ships will be very serious problems.

Spirit of Tasmania is not a catamaran
S S United States top speed 42 knots. Any WW2 Fletcher class destroyer--38 knots.

The fastest ships built on Earth ? Where else are they building them ?
Reading the comments it is absolutely clear that you need to do more research before putting stuff on UA-cam.
i am sorry but you are wrong with tasmania stuff
No km/h?
Ela pode navegar a 107 KM/H
😂😢Con motores spacex 😢😂😢
