As a former Coyotes fan, going back to the Rangers as that was my Dads team to root for until we got a local team, this is exciting to watch, hoping this crew is part of the 22% of Presidents trophy teams to reach the top!

There is no Messier and Leetch on this squad but it is definitely special in its own way. Perhaps even more special if they can achieve their ultimate goal.

I'm a Rangers homer, but this whole broken stick narrative is so dumb. Igor's skate broke the head of the stick at 1:38, the player stands still watching the rebound go away from him, has nothing to do with the goal and then puck is in the back of the net by 1:36. That's not a penalty and it's completely delusional to say that it is. If you got a penalty for not dropping a broken stick the exact second it breaks there would be two powerplays a game for it. If the Rangers had a goal taken away in this situation reversed the entire fan base would be in an uproar about it for ever. I'm begging my fellow fans to shut up about it, its beyond silly.
It is a penalty, the Rule book says no player can touch the Puck with a broken stick & the player's know the Rule, when they get caught with a broken stick they play dumb like I didn't know I couldn't do that.
@@user-pg8om6zn7w he didnt play the puck with his broken stick. It rebounds to another guy who scores. He is if anything moving away from the puck towards the bench when it goes in. Watch the replay
@@keveyson Regardless you're supposed to drop the stick immediately after it breaks. So the it could have been a penalty before the goal was made.
@@keveyson yes and he still had the broken stick in his hand, if you see the Replay his stick is on shersterkins pad , why didn't he drop the stick on the ice, anyway its water under the bridge the Refs missed it or they turned there head's.

Chytl is huge, I almost hope Carolina wins game so he can play more before next round. I assume he was started at wing because less responsibility and next game he will play center on 3rd or 4th line. Eventually we will have a sick 3rd line, Kakko, Chtyl and Cullye.
Fortunately this year we have a head coach who won't blow the whole thing up in the conference finals like Keenan in 1994.

@@Mrliftalee I don't think so. I just think the offense is moving the puck real well and usually the assists go to the forwards who didn't score. Again I'm not complaining, I just notice he doesn't have as many pts as you would of expected. I'm usually a Fox hater too and I think he's been great.
@@Mrliftalee He's drawn a ton of penalties too. I don't think he's playing bad, or hurt. I just think the offense we're generating at the moment doesn't revolve around moving the puck out of the D zone off the rush. If his stats were padded you would see it on the PP, and we're like tic-tac-toe'ing the puck between the forwards.

Rosi is getting more comfortable. Getting someone like Guentzel or Vatrano would have cost prospects like Othmann & Sykora.

This year they are playing harder and more consistently than last year. They're not coming out flat in the first period like last year. I think replacing GG with Laviolette is a big part of the reason why.
Even the ECF the year before, the difference is they didn't go up 3-0 in either. That being said I'm not gonna declare a sweep
