Rich was a genius. He had a fabulous piano bass drum trio in Reno/Tahoe and I worked a gig with him around 1967. He knew how to play for a singer. I saw him years later, in Denver when he worked with Paul Warburton, great jazz bassist. Very nice man and incredible musician.
