How do you tie off the leather cord when you get to the bottom?

We use hot glue! We add a line of hot glue on the stick as we wrap the leather cord. The end is just cut and glued as well.

Greetings! Approximately how many feathers do you use per fan?

Hi there! We used between 7-10 feathers per fan, with a variety of sizes :)

What kind of leather cord do you use please? And what kind of stick?

We used 2.66mm leather cording from a craft store (can't remember which one). But any craft store will have several colors to choose from that is that size. The stick we used was one found on the ground outside that was about 6-8 inches long. Hope that helps! :)

Glue would not be used by the indigenous peoples....

So? Are you saying we’re all so stupid as to assume humans have been using glue guns since the dawn of time? 🤔 Seems you’ve missed the entire point of the post. Your loss.

No clue how to end the cording.

As you go, keep adding lines of hot glue and wrap the cord tightly. When you get close to the end, you can approximate where to trim the cord before applying glue. Then add the hot glue and wrap until the end. You can trim any excess of cord with your scissors or razor blade. Hope that helps :)
