My mom has this car but it’s the limited trim model with leather seats. I drove it the other day it still drives great. Ours just hit 100k miles we have used it to tow my dads boat and trailer

That V-10 is the smoothest running engine out there. Thats a big reason why they last so long and they can take a ton of abuse

Yea, when I come to a stop it always bugs me out because it feels like it goes dead, but it’s just running smooth and silent.

@@HiRevzMedia yep, split pin crank to achieve a smooth 72° firing order & a balance shaft. I remember when they first debuted in the 97 econoline vans & the engine note sounded amazing in those vans, especially since the engine pretty much sits inside the cab.

I have a 03 limited v10 with 208,000 miles it just purrs. One of Fords best engines. Doesn't have the power out put of the 7.3/6.0 but it's a work horse

I wanted to get v10 but after I read the forums they aren’t as reliable as a 7.3

Those 2 little compartments on the roof were to hold garage door openers there was a little peg that hit the button when you pushed up on the compartment.

Got an '00 with 198k and drives like a champ. Also feels like it turns off on stop lights but only cause it idles that good. Have not had it break down yet

I'm the original owner of my 2000 Ex V10. Going easy on the accelerator will return better mileage than mashing any of the new 3/4 ton trucks gas pedal out there. And for the price difference, I can buy a shitload of gas😂 while driving something unique.
It's good to have a smaller vehicle around though for when you don't need the size of the Ex.

10k for a truck with basically 200k miles? Very stupid.

Stupid? Yes, it is stupid, but honestly I'm not surprised. Used truck and SUV prices are absurd nowadays.

It's only high because it's a gasser. Fuel mileage will be around 9-12. Diesel will be 16-20 depending. I got my 2005 diesel for 9k which is a steal. These trucks hold their value

It's high because they don't make them anymore and you cannot find good ones. Market demand is super high.

Its thirsty, but the V-10 is as durable as an engine as you will find. They're hard to break and will easily get over 350k miles
