    Hey Stu, I’ve been following your Danger Marine channel for years. I’ve never heard you mention this one. I’m too old to be thinking about buying a bike, but I fell in love with the Himalayan. After a recent hurricane, I bought a military green 2007 RE Bullet with sidecar sight unseen. A deal I couldn’t refuse. I’ll have a Himalayan soon. I’m glad I found your channel. 👍👍👍

    A pity you have stopped making these videos as they were informative and fun to watch.

    Stu, you need to go back and have a day of sight seeing there. If you get lucky you may get to see a plane land at the airstrip. The aircraft literally fly off a cliff when they take off. The old battery stamps, smelters and some old steam engine bits and pieces are down in the valley to look through. Also a look at the dates and ages of the people that are buried in the grave yards ( there are two of them, RC and 'the rest' ) . When I was last there we could read the dates well enough to work out that there must have been a few epidemics go through, small pox, measles or something was our guess. There is a family of mum, 4 kids under 6 and then dad being buried within 2 months. We went in via Jenolin and came out just south of Mittagong over 4 days (overnight at Yerranderie and then 'FoxHole') along some old convict built roads.

    Thanks for a wonderful ride on some great dirt roads. Nothing like that here in England. Good to see the Himalayan running so well. Hopefully those mods mean no more punctures. Agree with previous comment, that white car sure wanted all the road. Ride safe.

    Really glad I've stumbled across your videos (although I recall seeing your TU vid via the TU Riders website). Great to see more Aussies doing motorcycling stuff on UA-cam. Recently just upgraded from my TU to a Honda VT750S. It's going to be hard to say goodbye to the little bike. It's been a great companion for the last 4 years. Looking forward to seeing more camping vids. Until then, ride safe.

    is it possible for you to do a long term review on your RE bike? like miles, issues, mods etc?

      I'm on my bike ride now, but I've decided I'll do the review video separately when I get back as there a few things I'd like to show in the workshop.

    That was a fun adventure. ithought you were dead when the first car came around the corner you drive on the wrong side of the road. if i had to chose i would take a Yamaha all day long. if that weren't possible it would have to be a ktm . keep up the great vids thanks.

    Wow, what a blast. I trust a good time was had by all. Lots of great footage you've assembled there. I have many questions, but will limit it to just one.
    If you were to use your bike, Stu, as a power source for lights, or charging port overnight, if you ran the battery down flat, would the bike kick start on a flat battery, or does it require voltage for fuel injection to work? Not that I recommend deliberately running down a battery to test this theory.
    Random observation - the driver of the car seen at 23:08 apparently doesn't believe in sharing the road, or at least trying to keep to his own side of it. Glad nothing bad came of it.

      Good question, Stan. My bike is carbureted so it does clutch start okay. Many EFI motors will too due the small amount of current generated once it is rolling, but I would be worried if the battery was totally flat.
      Yes, that audio is muted during my passing of that car to keep the PG rating. ;)

    Is there a big following of Kawasaki KLR's down under? Here in SA they popular for this type of riding. Its the bike I have my eye on one day for adventure riding.

    What a cool trip. It looks like your back rack reinforcement has held up well. Have you had any problems with it since you did the modification?
    I have a similar top box and I'm always scared of the whole thing breaking, falling off and causing an accident. I would like to do a similar, discrete reinforcement. Any tips would be appreciated. Cheers

    • @DangarMotorcycling
      @DangarMotorcycling  6 років тому

      I have had the section that attached to the bike frame and form the pillion passenger handles break since. Oddly they don't take any of the weight of the box so I'm not sure what happened with them. My plan is to replace them with solid bar so I'll do a video on that when I get around to it.
