Should be able to job the tow point when the machine is stopped on the older machines you have to be in motion we have a pathmaster ,8816 and 8500 , start out in manual to get screed pitch or angle of attack they call it once that's done lock it in always turn autos off when you pick up so you don't bottom out tow point then when you set back down while stopped you should be able to look at the angle of you're screed end gate if it's pointing down you need to jog it up untill it's level then take off a few feet then hit auto , if you can't jog the tow poi t while stopped you won't get the full potential from the system you'll always have to start manual which sux jus a little tip I wanted to share nice vid
