Instead of having Katie climb the ladder every time to hand you a piece of siding. Get a c-clamp pair of vice grips or just a c-clamp, attach it to a long enough piece of rope that reaches the ground. Drop it down to her, have her clamp it to the piece of siding, and pull it up. It’s way faster and way safer. I was a 30 year owner operator roofing contractor in Florida now retired. I used this technique daily to lift tool buckets, water keg, metal panels, rolls of single ply etc up onto the roof. I always strapped my ladders off at roof edge with a 2” wide strip of sheet metal wrapped around ladder rung into roof deck or fascia with a couple self tapping roofing screws into metal screw pattern or into solid decking. Be safe out there. Try it, it speeds up the process. Keep up the good work.
My sweet Katie. Felt so awful when I heard you were ill. And yes, you're man was a trooper to get the water back. Running to the house. I wish you both Well In the near future❤
It’s crazy! Alaska has an extremely cold and snowy winter. Here in New England area it’s been a mild winter with record snow shortages. And no below zero almost halfway through February.
I grew up in the bushes in Lake Cowican on Vancouver Island and took it for granted. I didn't realize I did until I moved to Grande Prairie A.b and lived here for a few years. I'd love to be full time in the wilderness again. We have 160 acres with a creek and trees but it's poplar and is not even close to the same as BC bushes.
Greg, you should run to legs of water pipe with cutoffs or disconnect and switch as needed depending on water availability. The pulling back and forth of the water line is a lot of extra work for nothing. Unless there is something I missed, but way to keep pushing on.
Greg don't feel like you have to put a video out just for us. If you two are sick we can wait until you are well we will still be here waiting patiently for you. Just take care of yourself and my Katie 😉. Get well and as always stay safe and God bless from Missouri. 1:33
Nah dude, Katie is a tough broad. Neither Greg's, yours, or anyone else's. She's also the editor. Freaking powerhouse of productivity. But totally, don't make videos when you're sick, silly-billies
What a trooper. I would love to trade places with you. Pulling hose through the forest by yourself in the quiet and smelling the earth hearing your heart beat and the crunch of branches under you feet. Love it.
Greg and Katie, it must feel so good to finish that wall and have it look so good. The color is fantastic and looks like it fits in with the tree needle colors. Sorry about you both being sick with colds. Hopefully the sun will soon shine and make you both feel much better. Blessings to you two.
Nothing better than the North Woods . Greg ,Thank you for bringing Bob & I along . We live in the last bit of forest in our area . You & Katie get well Soon 🔜. See you at the meet & greet ?
Beautiful home. It came out well. Good to see your resilience coming through. Hope everyone is well this Sunday morning. Greg, I'm glad you went back to check that line and to find it was cut off. Thanks for the vid. Peace and stay blessed.
Greg, you are a harder worker sick than I am most healthy days. Congrats on finishing the siding on this side of the house, it looks AMAZING. Oh, and thanks for the reminder to be grateful for the good things we have even when life isn't exactly what we would wish for- I appreciated that zen moment this morning. Take care, you two!
looks way better than I ever expected. I really like the ""Rustic"" look it has. Very nice earthy colors. Way to go guys! Hey lady, GET BETTER!! You need your health to run your homestead. Luv yur way (Fuzzy kids too) Me southern AZ.
Had a nasty cold here in Ontario for the longest time. Went right through our family. Hope it does not stay with you two for how long we had it. I was smelling that forest when Greg was showing the video. He is right. It is amazing. Thanks for sharing with us, all you do. Get well.
So sorry you have been sick.. we have had a bunch of friends come down with RSV this year. It’s no joke. Take good care of yourselves. The wall looks flippin’ AMAZING!!👍
Have you ever thought of making a Y connection so either of the two water options would lead to your home water line. You could have a shut off valve on the pipes to the two water options to have one turned off when the option is not giving you water. Just an option. Really enjoy the videos that you create.
You guys are absolutely amazing! I genuinely enjoy watching your videos. Aside from being highly industrious and extremely effective you are humorous in your Canadian way. To watch you manage and accomplish some pretty gnarly jobs is always a pleasure.
I hauled water many years before we finally got rural water where we live. The easy access to water was something I had taken for granted until we moved to a place where I had to haul it in.
Hope Katie gets better soon miss her she's a very hard worker your Avery lucky man to have a beautiful young woman like Katie you both work very hard to make things easier for yourself glad to see the siding coming along God Bless you ❤️ 🙏 and be safe.
I'm glad to see you both are feeling somewhat better. Living the life in British Columbia, I think a lot of us would trade places with y'all if we could.
Looks good. The finishing’s brings it all together. Love the color of the siding,it looks blue gray on my UA-cam but I’m sure it change’s thru the day and seasons’s.Really brings out the structure of your house.❤
Oh hell yea that finished wall looks so good ! I don't envy Greg having to try and handle heavy tools, ladders and standing platforms and stay balanced using tools. That's gotta give you the eebie jeebie's. Fantastic work !!!!
Great to see u both feeling better. I would suggest you buy more black tubing to put at your water source for winter and leave it there year around..and.keep the one u just put on the spring there year around so you don't have to move the line from one source to the other. Save work. Just connect the one to the house when season's change. Would that work?
u guys r doing amazing even while u been sick 😊😊😊😊 that dedication love watching use and the puppies and goats hope ur feeling better lv from the uk ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Congratulations on the completion of your wall siding. All your hard work has paid off,& now you can check it off the list. Y’all stay safe, healthy, happy, productive,& blessed.💯👍🏾😀🫶🏾💜✝️🙏🏾🇺🇸
Greg, you are a trooper like Kati said. I remember how Kati was a trooper when Greg was down. You are an unusual couple in that you work so well together and take up the slack when the other is sick or gone. Oh! That table bent/bowed soo much when you picked it up! That better be your next big purchase! Looking forward to the next video! That big wall looks great!! One more thing.- Greg, I really enjoy when you share your thoughts with us. Your comment about having to fix the water and all the trouble it can be - I’m glad you enjoy your time living where you do and the extra work that is involved to fix some things compared to “city living”. (That wasn’t your exact statement) When you get older, I think you will really appreciate your time living on the mountain and be proud of the work you and Kati did.

Toattly Agree.
Work smart, not hard...
Great idea!
That is what my roofer did when he was putting the roof iron sheets on the roof last week.
Why don’t you leave your Line stretched out all year?
😢So sorry to see you having to struggle with colds, but your resilience is commendable 😊 Nice work and yes, never take it for granted!!
Yay congrats on the siding finished, and the water line to your home!!! Wishing you both a speedy recovery ❤
wishing you too well love your show and farm hopping you all get over it soon take care
My sweet Katie. Felt so awful when I heard you were ill.
And yes, you're man was a trooper to get the water back.
Running to the house. I wish you both Well In the near future❤
Beautiful. Hope you're both well now. ❤❤

Get well soon Katie.
THATS so awesome got the wall done hope yall get to feeling better be safe 👍😎

You should cut a clean path were the water line go,s to the spring box to the house so the water line does not get stuck on down trees
Greg, you should run to legs of water pipe with cutoffs or disconnect and switch as needed depending on water availability. The pulling back and forth of the water line is a lot of extra work for nothing. Unless there is something I missed, but way to keep pushing on.
probably economics, but yeah...so much simpler to have two separate lines to switch off from

That is a wonderful piece of music from 29 minutes to the end of the video. The wall looks fantastic. Store-bought lumber comes through.
Hope you 2 feel better

sorry you guys were sick. Hope you are better not in mid February. Happy days..........siding done on that wall.
Should rig yourself up a hose pulley system from tank to the Spring box, hang pulleys every 50’ and get the line up off the ground
Greg, you are a harder worker sick than I am most healthy days. Congrats on finishing the siding on this side of the house, it looks AMAZING.

Good job finishing the wall. This too shall pass on being ill.
just an idea Greg go look at nomadic movement did their pump to get water from their spring to their cabin maybe that would work in your situation
Looking good!!!

I was sick for several months after an identical situation so I hope you guys get over quickly.
