Hey, dude. Another idea if you want it would be to run a piece of semi-flexible plastic up under the vent from the outside and glue the bottom portion. How's the Gorilla tape holding up, btw? Was looking to get 1 of the little Intense teepees but read a few reviews where it has seam problems. If the tape works long term, might be worth doing every seam before using the tent?

I left it up for 6 weeks exposed to the elements. The tape is holding up great. The other seams have begun to leak. So I'm going to sometime this summer or early fall take it out and wipe it down inside and out and seam seal with the glue type and the tape where appropriate then coat it scotch guard.
I like the idea of running the plastic to keep the splash and drip off the mesh inner.

When it comes to the Intense Wilderness teepee, you really are getting what you pay for. You'd have to seal it up good. Better off investing in the$100-200 range if you want it not to suck. And divide the "person" count by 3 or you'll be squished in like sardines. Also it's helpful to get a variety of cheap tents say from Ozark trail to see what you'll actually enjoy and fits your needs before investing in the middle quality tents like The Pomoly brand or the high quality of Kodiak or Russian Bear.

@@jimketchum3169 yeah, scrapping by is becoming more common lately. Less than scrapping by is becoming the norm. So your plan seems to be a solo campaign. I see the draw in that however, eventually you'll need others. Get a network. Are you practicing your bushcrafting skills? I recommend Corporals Corner for that. He's honest and experienced. He shows you the how and the why. Eventually your tents no matter the quality are going to degrade and bushcrafting will give you that extra longevity while you're figuring out your plan for the rest after the initial bugout.
