The thing that jumps out to me, was that in nearly all the clips from the late 70's until just before this tour, Steven never smiled on stage. He largely looked miserable. Once he got sober the joy came back to him and his stage persona completely changed. So great they survived.
Smiles numerous times during the 1980 Largo performance with Crespo.. Seen him smile plenty times during a few of the recordings of 77/78 too, granted nowhere near as much as the "tired & wacked" look he often gave.
'Draw the Line' here...🌺 Especially going into the insane high vocal part! Joe Perry going ape! Divine...NO doctored, taped, A.I. vocal here the ladies and the gentlemens! 💋
Aerosmith was my first concert, I saw them in Hartford, CT in 1978. Then twice more. They are phenomenal. Steven Tyler is on fire here. Loved every minute of it. Can't get enough.
:I saw Aerosmith at the NBC in April 1983, and then again at the Aloha Stadium in 1986. It was great! The first song they played was Back in The Saddle, and they dedicated it to Gary Shields, my mother's heroin dealer.
Yea, it’s funny because of that and in the 80’s the songwriting got better. Along with that MTV and especially the Walk this Way video with RunDMC brought them back from the dead.Oh and getting off smack didn’t hurt either.😉
When Steven fks up going into the chorus on Walk This Way at 1:39:52 and the band....communicates and recovers. Thats your fkn ProFESSIONAL musicians right there.
Saw this tour when they came to the Meadowlands in NJ in the summer of 1988. Instead of the arena, they played Giants Stadium, with GNR opening and Deep Purple co-headlining. Still the greatest concert I've ever been to.
Saw them in San Diego in February during this tour and wow I was blown away. My first Aerosmith concert, Dokken opened. My dad and I had floor seats. 15 year old me was in heaven. First of many Aerosmith concerts
Permanent Vacation Tour, saw this one in Denver at McNichols Arena in 1988. Saw Toys in the Attic, Rocks, Draw the Line, Fresno CA just Push Play in Las Vegas & Dallas. Aerosmith fan since day 1. First concert was Toys in the Attic in 1975, it changed me. :)

I really like that song; I wish they'd play it sometime these days! Same goes for a lot of songs... They have so much great music that goes unplayed these days!
So THAT was what they we're saying!!! "Daylight come and me wan'go home!" THANK YOU! THANK YOU!! I was looking for that everywhere! Who'd knew? Greetings from an Aerosmith fan from Lima, Perú.

Young Steven Tyler's voice was fire. Perfect. Of course there's a lot of merit too on how well he kept training his voice to not lose its capacity. Of course today it doesn't sound like this anymore but he's still doing great for his age. Long live Aerosmith!!!
@@Madmetalmaniac42069 The mid to late 80's and all through the 90's. Seen them many times and one of the best performances I ever saw from them was in October of 2001 on the Just Push Play tour.
I saw this tour in Portland, Oregon. I've seen plenty of great concerts before and since, but this is one of a few shows were the band took the stage on a mission! They were clearly motivated to wipe out the negative memories of the Done With Mirrors shows and prove they were back. I don't recall them doing One Way Street in Portland, but they did do Coney Island Whitefish Boy.
Absolutely love Tyler's hairstyle in this ! Joe Fucken Perry finally showing what a TRULY GREAT GUITARIST and background vocalist he's capable of being !
Joe Perry is the more known name of Joseph Pereira. The American songwriter and musician is best known for being the lead guitarist and founding member of the rock group Aerosmith. The group is frequently referred to be the “Greatest American Rock Band of All-Time.” Perry has an impressive 600 guitar collection. We’re just a little bit jealous.
That drum solo is super cool! Sure, he's not playing a real drum set for most of it, but he's still playing the rhythms that we're hearing! And how often do you get to see a band's drummer come out from behind his kit and work the crowd like that?! That would be so much fun to see live!
Haha and I just found out that the venue they were in was The Summit, which then became The Compaq Center (where I graduated), then years later became Pastor Joel Osteen's Lakewood Church where I attend and also sing in the Choir RIGHT THERE ON THE VERY STAGE STEVEN & THE REST OF THEM WERE ON LOL! Haha I just found that so cool, because most of my fondest memories were made there right where my Idol and one of the hottest men in the world performed! I still attend Lakewood and that arena can hold over 16,000 ppl. I wonder how many came when they were there! Haha, it's not going to feel the same again when I'm back up there on stage singing this Saturday knowing what I know lol. Love ya Steven! To the person who owns this channel, thanks for uploading this!
Yes! First tour sober & they were right here in my Home Town of Houston, TX! But it sucks because I was only 10 at that time lol! If I was old enough to go, I would've gone for sure! Awesome performance as always! Hey fans, if you are on Instagram and do Aerosmith fan pages, well come and Follow my page @aerosmith.magic Thanks!
Zsolt Horváth you’re crazy if you put Trujillo, McCartney, and Sting on a list and not have Tom Hamilton. You must only listen to one Aerosmith song 😂 because the guy can bass groove by far better than them I listed 😂😂😂😂😫
I would say this: Tom Hamilton is a master musican who has a distinctive style of playing. You can't really 'compare' him to other players because he does what he does in a way no one else can. Yes, they can play his parts but they are HIS parts. BTW....@Zsolt Horvath mentioned John Deacon below.......that guy is a fkn MASTER musician!!!!!
Thank you for uploading! Good stuff, but does anyone out there have the Detroit show from about 2 months earlier on Dec. 7 '87 ? The setlist would be very similar for the most part and I believe Joan Jett was the opener on this leg of this tour.

Saw this tour in 1988. Thanks for uploading this concert. It is the " Ode to Joe Perry's Belly Button" which is never a bad thing...
