- Starting off with a Launching kick, to get Loid off-guard. - Followed by her first Combo with a Jab, Hook, Rear Hook while putting some spinning/-light kicks into her arsenal. - After catching up that Loid is blocking them she goes for the same combo but ending it with a uppercut instead of a rear hook. - After that she goes for some head kicks both left & right, in other to break Loids defense she throws a Punt kick. - Before she breaks her heels she does a great Attempt doing a spinning Kick. *Notes:* When she did the thing where she was on the ground spamming kicks, I don't think it's possible to do that many kicks while having so much strength in your Arms to keep you on a 60°~70° Angle. My most favorite Part is Yor adding Kicks into her Arsenal. As a Lady she will always have a weight gap against Men, In other to compensate her lack of KO-Power in her Arms she uses her Legs, that's awesome. Easily my #1 Anime fight Scene choreography-wise.
She still threw an uppercut in the first combo with her lead hand but she was too far out. Yor went the same hook-uppercut combo the second time but switched hook and uppercut sides and shifts in a bit so that the uppercut really does land.
Women also have a lower center of gravity than men, allowing them to keep balance easier. For Yor, that'd mean throwing kicks would be easier to do more, while still staying balanced. Neat little anatomy detail the animators put in that no one notices.

Seriously, I keep replaying this scene, for the animation. Knowing it's a romcom, it's amazing who they just nailed this fight scene.
It reminds me of Kobayashi's dragon maid. Slice of life anime, but when a fight occurs it's gigantic xD
Look up "Toru vs Kanna",
I keep replaying it for the Yor base drop
Seeing this comment is a year old I hope you've now seen Yor on the cruise ship...
I don’t think she has a weight gap issue
She still threw an uppercut in the first combo with her lead hand but she was too far out. Yor went the same hook-uppercut combo the second time but switched hook and uppercut sides and shifts in a bit so that the uppercut really does land.
Women also have a lower center of gravity than men, allowing them to keep balance easier. For Yor, that'd mean throwing kicks would be easier to do more, while still staying balanced. Neat little anatomy detail the animators put in that no one notices.
I don't think you realize what a weight gap actually is, not every man is heavier than every woman.
@@gunchar06 but the strength gap is still there
The fact loid was more concerned about how a witch can be physical rather than questioning how yor can fight like that
people here forget quickly but Yor explained to Loid that she knows martial arts for self defense in ep 2. do you have amnesia or what?
@@gthewolf7948 I’m pretty sure a lot of people remember the self defense, it’s just the fact that Loid just excuses Yor’s abilities solely on that reason alone. She literally made a scar on his face and ripped up his gloves from the friction of her punches. Even though he’s one of the best spies in the world who probably has faced multiple martial artists before, he’s not at all questioning her strength after the fight
yoga class
@@maeflowrr he probably just thinks she's built different. Much more logical than assuming she's a highly trained assassin.
@@DukeEllision329 the amount of built different she is being can't be explained from any logical amount of "she is just built different" thats like him seeing someone break down and build up 18 different guns and being like "he has talent for a complete novice who has never touched a gun before"
That little "Ah...!" right before she passes out gets me every time.
“Why is she using physical attacks when she’s a witch?”
Yor: I CAST “KICK”
Good god if she had magic in this scene he’d be dead as hell
🤣
@@SpiderBrained I can see the Abridged version already...
Yor: "I CAST KICK!!"
Loid: *Dodges*
Yor: "I CAST KICK AGAIN!!!"
Loid: "What the hell Yor, how the hell are you so quick?!"
Yor: "I HAVE THE RAPID CASTING SKILL!!!"
Loid: 'Well as the world's best spy; I conclude that what she said makes sense... I guess, though I feel as though I am missing an obvious cl...'
Yor: "I CAST KICK ONE FINAL TIM..." *Heel breaks and she falls unconscious*
Loid: "Oh for Christ's sake Yor! We literally just bought those high heels yesterday!"
Anya: "Is Mommy going to be ok?"
Loid: "Don't worry sweetheart, Lor is built somewhat differently to us mere mortals! Heck, if her high heels didn't break; we'd likely have to pay a hospital fee that outprices those expensive shoes anyway"
edit: while typing this, I saw Spy x Family Abridged Ep 1 chillin' to my right lol
Everyone mentions how Loid doesn't find it weird she's so strong
But I find to funnier how he just fully knows he stands no chance
But he won this fight
It isn’t that he stands no chance it is that he doesn’t want to hurt Yor. The only reason Yor was attacking him so rough was because she was drunk
@@massimechedou4892He didn’t win yor passed out
@@RootOfAllEvil-666 and he didn't so he win without even punch her imagine if he went full power
@@massimechedou4892 Dude no to win a fight you have to K.O the other person he wasn’t fighting her he was on defense
the little sound she makes when she slips is so adorable
Can we appreciate the fact that even drunken Yor only thinks in protect Anya? Drunken and all, but her maternal instincts are crazy!
I love that Loid is stuck between a rock and a hard place and can’t really ask about Yor’s physical abilities because he’s done some questionable stuff in front of her as well so they both have to play it off as pure luck lol
Evidently they both have a skewed version of what is considered “normal”
@@CalmClamFam that and let's be honest bro never had or wanted a family he knows not to attract attention but he's never done it with a child in that sense in a pure stand point I don't think he knows normal but that's all been established in this comments section
Thank god Yor stood on the sidelines until she was called by Franky, because if she had been on Loid's side saving Anya, then the organization would have fewer agents than they usually do.
Hmm if either to lose money with more agents or lose agents more money tough decision
@@blarxzav1249 right now the organization is already in a tough spot with fewer agents since some of them were caught so we definitely need more agents
The thing is, Yor's combat style is only effective if it's close quarters combat, an ambush, attack by surprise or if enemies aren't armed in firearms. Try deflect a bullet I dare you it's impossible.
@@alphaenterprise2232 oh man wait to see when yor is in the Cruise
@@alphaenterprise2232 I agree, she does get hit with a bullet in the a$$ and she drank poison and was okay.
Loid taking her full-force punch to the sternum and not being bothered is the most impressive thing about this, honestly.

0:37 Yor throwing those hands looked so clean 🔥
It's mesmerizingly smooth
The sound and the reverb from when Yor steps on the ground at 0:05 is crazy. I love it. Gave her such a badass feel
For everyone questioning why Loid doesn't find Yor's physical prowess suspicious, he's literally such a perfectionist constantly pushing past normal human limitations that he's skewed his own perspective of normalcy, which he doesn't seem to realize.
Loid is truly this woman's perfect match. He can resist her punches even for a little bit when no one else can.
Little detail but I like how at 0:41 you can see Loid's gloves disintegrating from the sheer force of Yor's kicks.
WOAH
How tf does this show have better fight choreography than like 95% of Hollywood.
This show has love in it.
I mean you re talking about animation vs reality here it s obvious Wich one has the upper hand in making such movements possible
IRL performers can get injured even on a movie set, much better to not get delays
Yor vs Batman when?
@@hobomike6935 Definitely Yor if Batman gets no plot armor or prep, the only member of the Bat-family who actually can beat Yor head-on is ironically also the most similar to her her namely Cassandra Cain.
R.I.P. Loid gloves & Yor heel
They were sacrificed to save Loid from being killed by a drunk assassin
0:54 i will forget everything she did after watching this
Loid is surprisingly durable. Remember that Yor has shown herself as strong enough to send grown men flying with her kicks, she's currently too drunk to hold back, and Loid still managed to tank her hits enough to keeping standing despite all that.
Screw sending a man flying that girl kicks a damn car😂
0:13 That windup is insanely good. The momentum in this series is amazingly done
Loid is too self assured to imagine that yor could possibly have a side to her that he didn't dig up in his background check, and so any evidence that contradicts the assumptions he already made simply is discarded in his mind.
SPOILERS Well remember he has some episodes where he becomes very suspicious after her brother is in the SS but then test her and gets the rest of his doubts out of his mind I think that's when it happens what your saying
oooh smart way to look at it
This fight was done perfectly
Yor and Loid have literal superhuman physical and mental prowess respectively and they’re not even considered to be the family member with superpowers.
Anime man I tell ya.
Crazy
Is it crazy that the animation is so well done, that I (and presumably everyone else) can tell that Yor knows American Boxing?
Plus, that little squeak she made when she slipped before passing out was adorable.
Yor hasn't been a mother for very long but it's good to see that she willing to protect Anya, even if she's drunk
0:11 the way she walks and suddenly starts fighting, reminds me of abnormal titans. She the sudden way she starts fighting reminds of that abnormal titan in that are eren's friend, back in season 1.
The guy who wrote attack on titan did it based on when he saw a drunk man walk into a bar,(something to do with seeing a drunk guy idk)so yeah, makes sense
She done kicked the gloves off his hands. Loid owes his life to that flimsy heel.
Her little "huh" when she trips

that was the cutest "ah" I´ve ever heard
As intelligent and deductive as Loid is, how has he not just realized "Oh, Yor is an assassin" like c'mon bro. Blinded by love...

@@miraitan no cap I love the first seen between loid and her like that's to me is the first time he should of questioned her when she slipped by him I loved it tho showed how talented she was that she slipped by this world class spy
This moment cemented Yor as best girl. That fall and that sleeping face? Priceless!
Honestly, Twilight is a badass for coming out of that with just a small cut
Probably some bruised and scraped hands, given the art on them. Maybe bruised ribs from that uppercut.
You know a little detail I like about this scene was how Loid's gloves were slowly worn down and then destroyed from the continuous strikes from Yor which is really neat since you don't often see that sort of real time showcase of battle damage in a show clearly since it's often obscured by bright flashes or intense moves to transition from being completely spotless to being torn up, or just have it typically recycled like in Dragon Ball. Nice detail to see is all
I reaaallly hope we get more scenes like this with Yor showing off her skills and Assassin side. It's sooo cool when it happens. Plus it'd just be nice to see it to empathize deeper with.
Still love that they use whatever chance they can to give peeks to it though.
HONESTLY we don't get enough of her
Yor gets her time to shine when they get to the cruze ship arc. Should be in season 2!
Can we talk about Yor's pressure?
That double jab tied with a lead hook followed by a rear upper cut was pure magic.
This scene was one of the best in a while across anime. In fact this whole episode was amazing.
"Anyone who tries to kidnap Anya-san will not get away alive!"
Even in a drunken stupor, Yor is the ultimate protective mother! No cares about who she is facing! No regard for maintaining her cover! NO! MERCY! PERIOD!!!
If you want to know what a protective mother Yor can be when sober then catch the next episode.
0:16 her kick was so strong she caused a wind storm
That double kick where she feints to each side was so sick
Let’s be honest here Franky could EASILY solo both Loid & Yor as well as all the other agents in the mansion if he really wanted to

Its like saying Loid is a good potrait of a father because he would fight Yor for his daughter , which isn't right. Spouse aren't supposed to fight, they are meant to be one.
Plus if Yor wasn't drunk she wouldn't be fighting against Liod in the first place, which father makes your remark puzzling. Loving your father doesn't mean your comment wasn't the fatherless sort.

It’s honestly so sweet how she would do everything in her being to protect Anya 😭😭✨✨✨💖
That first kick sounded like a freakin jet engine. It probably would have knocked Loid’s head off if he had not dodged.

The fact that Loid doesn’t question Yor’s unnatural physical strength is always so funny to me.
I love how Yor goes from terrifying to adorable in the space of a few seconds.
🥰
When she passed out after giving him consistent lefts and rights, I laughed so hard. 😭🤣
Even with that death gaze, Yor's banter being delivered in such a heavy drunken slur is hilarious.
What kills me about this scene is Yor outright throwing hands at this man- like she’s literally boxing him up
I can't get over how they animated the kicks just like a pro would throw them
She is SO Adorable when she passes out. She looks so cute sleeping there.
