Your Customers are going to be lined up looking to buy that Hay Dennis. Glad all your equipment is running great and working hard for you, and you have one of you best seasons 👍
You guyz are far ahead of us Green Mountain Boys. Gonna mow this morning, as we have a 3 day weather window. Waist high grass that was leveled by a nasty thunder thumper, 2 weeks ago. Can't imagine starting the day with a rear window replacement. Always enjoy your musings.
Good video again that is some good looking hay my friend looks like you need to get some sleep be safe don’t overdo it my friend have a good day I am glad you got good weather you do not need are weather in Arkansas it has rained here all day
That's some good looking crop right there! That field looks great also and has very peaceful country views. Glad those first bales didn't bust early on ya.
Family affair nice to see family working together and Dennis your gonna need a vacation you go nonstop dang take weekend go fishing before your plowing all winter again
Heck, I was mowing around the barn with my 5' zero turn mower and had the barn door up, shot a rock thru the front glass OUT the back. Nailed both windshields at the same time... $1200 or so. Sucks putty balls.
Good to see you back on the hay for a new season Dennis ..Hope it's a good trouble free season for you. With good weather to match for you. . On tractors i.think a shame the massey ferguson 6713 globel you cant get them with the new 24 .24 gears or the dyna 4 at 130 hp would think be a good tractor. Mike
Well that is some of the best hay I have seen you mow. Really thick. I bet it smells good too. Nice to have the right equipment to get the job done right. 👍‼️
After watching your series of hay videos we are going to be buying an accumulator for our farm. Too hard to find help to ride on the racks but easy to find people to drive tractors and skid loaders. Looking forward to seeing the new twine grapple in action as we might add that later this year too.
I feel like we get a big jump on the curve after how well you explained things. And also why we decided on new with updates instead of sourcing a used table.
Looks like you’ve mastered the rake and the hay is looking well 👍. Glad to see a professional driver in the driving seat, Shannon will do well 😁. You need to Chuck a camera in with her again, was good last time
Wish you were closer to N.H, Maine border I need 200 bales. Great looking hay there Dennis and any help the hay season will be done before you know it.
Hi looking good. The preservative you put on does it work well? I've never used it right now I'm not bale any hay but would like do some. I used to and when we had a heavy bale or damp hay we would set it aside. Never had moisture meters etc. was done all by hand. Great that your working together.
Would you ever consider making a video on adjusting your BC5060 bale length and tension? I have your same set up but am having tons of trouble getting at 34-36" bale and having it work in the accumulator. Love your content!
Your not going to get a NH to bale perfectly consistent bales but some things that help is to try to make consistent windrows and while baling if you have a thin spot speed up and slow down in the think spots so you get about 12 to 14 strokes between ties. I run my tension at about 2 on the pressure gage and shoot for a 36 inch average bale length but your going to vary a couple inches either way depending on how your feeding the chamber.
I think some baling is up next. I’ve filmed so much lately I can’t remember what I have on deck. I film and stockpile video clips as I’m making hay then go back when I have time and try to sort it all out haha.
@@DLHFarms I can imagine it’s pretty hard to film and hay at the same time! I’ve got my hands full enough being newer to hay hahah! Great to chat with you man, keep on cranking. Learned a ton from you, glad to have connected with you and your channel. Good luck on that film stockpile!
@@DLHFarms thanks for the reply just trying to think ahead here in what my farm may be doing. In between ok the 4707 and the 4710. Looking at ordering with the new 24x24 speed transmission so that alleviate that problem wouldn’t it. I was just worried about Hp because I’m farm up here in the hills I’m West Virginia. Thanks again I have learned allot from your videos.
What happen to the stone we kept between my feet to put in front of the baler tire to get it to swing out and put behind tire to narrow baler up for road travel ?? 😂😂thx for the videos!!
Good Morning Denis, I was thinking ( dangerous occupation sometimes :) would it pay at all, to go back over the fields and rake up what might be left over?
@@davidcassady8491 no I’ll tedd in the morning once most of the dew is off then rake right before baling, typically I like to let it set for an hour between raking and baling if I can in case the rake flipped up some green spots.
I don't know if I will ever get to start bailing here in Oklahoma it won't stop raining. I am trying to make videos now . I got the inspiration from watching you.
Nothing better looking than rolling hills and cut hayfields...great office view👍
Got that right! 👍

Thanks !
Shannon to the rescue, nice! Thanks Dennis from Georgian Bay.
Haha she always has my back.
I just love watching the baking. It's great.👍
Awesome!
Good looking hay! Glad Shannon came and showed you how to run the bailer!
She is a professional hay baler.
Nice video buddy! I go pick up our 2021 6140m tomorrow! I can’t wait.
Awesome love me a new tractor!
Your machinery and farm steading is immaculate and a credit too you 👍

Haha I’m afraid she will tell more stories on me.
Morning Dennis! What a pretty baling rig that is. Thanks for the ride-a-long
How about some wide mag wheels on the accumulator for stability? 😎
Haha it’s good and stable now with the fluid in the tires.
Wish you were closer to N.H, Maine border I need 200 bales. Great looking hay there Dennis and any help the hay season will be done before you know it.
Yep wish I could help you out. Cost more to ship it to you than the hay is worth.
Maybe I should move closer to you. Lol. Not sure if the wife would like it.
Great awesome video Dennis
Thanks!

Yes it works very well if you get the right amount on it.
Lovely looking hay, bet it smells good.
Yes it does
I dread making the first bales of the year because usually something doesn't work right lol
Haha usually
great video thanks for posting
Thanks!
Can't wait to see the new 6 basket tedder from boone tractor. 😉
It’s coming. Used it yesterday for the first time.
Really like your videos. From NE Georgia
Thanks!

Just another Lovely Day for Haying in Martinsville!!!
👍
Good looking hay, would your Massey 4710 run your bailing setup with the accumulator?
It will run it but would be short on gears to get just the right ground speed.

I threw that dang thing in the woods haha 😂
About to do this tomorrow!
how do you like the bc5060 baler? we've been looking at them, they look nicely built
I’ve had good luck with mine. Sometimes wish I had the 5070 with the bigger pickup head.
I like 👍 your setup how much would that cost me ??
Good Morning Denis, I was thinking ( dangerous occupation sometimes :) would it pay at all, to go back over the fields and rake up what might be left over?
No let it fertilize the field for next cut.
@@DLHFarms Yes, that makes more sense!
Yea. That alfalfa is hard to dry in high humidity.
I always rake clover and alfalfa why the dew is on so the leaf dont shatter
What does the liquid in the tank do, enjoy your channel
It’s hay preservative it’s kinda like vinegar.
What happened to Shannon's F150? Wasn't she driving a Ford? Ron
Yeah we sold it to the in-laws and bought a newer truck with more room for the kids.
Do you ever tedder a field and then rake it the same day to bale that day?
Yes I almost always tedd the day i rake especially if I doing squares for horse hay.

quite the gal you have there dennis wont be to long and that young man will be involved

Is that a kubota rake
Yes
What model is that bailer
BC5060
Was your Dad alright after whatever smashed the window ?
Yeah It just scared him because it was so loud when it hit and shattered.
