All I can say is WOW. 3 watts and you get that sound. I am a subscriber to Guitarworld and I TOTALLY missed the review on this one. TIme to look through my previous issues to find it.
I haven’t added any new amps. I haven’t gigged out in a while so a second amp has moved to a lower position on my gas list 🤣 This is still a great sounding amp!
Very true! There's no body contouring on the SEs. Don't get me wrong, I have an SE and like it for what it is, but it's no Custom 22 like Paul's playing in the video.
@@gkbradshaw It is safe to say he has never spent any time at all in North Carolina. I would have him reshoot it with the right pronunciation, if I were Carr. Just saying.
thank you, I was thinking the same thing everytime he said the name... You would think he would get that straight reviewing a product. I can't wait for him to review the new Mee-sah Bowgie amp.
the foam is sound absorbant. It is probably meant to prevent undesireable resonaces from occuring in the box the amp is standing on.....and it looks pretty...I am sure that is the main reason he choose that color
Great amp to articulate cleans, tone and depth at usable domestic volumes. The quality is truly what a boutique amp should be, but sometimes isn't with other revered marques. Just got to have one, shame that the maple front version costs US$2,150 (£1353) in the UK - that's US$650 more than in the US. Maybe they fly it out here business class. Anyway, plan to have it a long time and it's small and simple looking enough to trick the wife into believing that it's a budget amp. Happy days!
@jiveturkeynjunk if it comes with that amp and that cat's chops, i'll take the dang haircut. then again, i've got jason statham hair already, so what do i have to lose?
it's nice but not worth $1,300 (to me) i'd sooner buy an orange tiny terror halfstack or something else with that kinda money my favorite amps are the bogner shiva and ecstasy and those are way more pricey but totally worth what you pay
Paul; I would like to "axe" you a question! Why can't you pronounce the name of this great amp. It is not pronounced "RALLY". Think; Sir Walter "Raleigh".
How can anyone separate the sound of the amp from the sound of the guitar? They should always use the same guitar when testing amps. Which, I don't know, maybe they do.
Wow what a versatile little amp....sweetest cleans I ever heard and a singing lead tone to boot! Great at home amp!
Clean is sparky and really detailed. love the overdrive too, it is really smooth! Very nice soundbox.
thats the best clean sound ive ever heard in my entire life
are u 2 years old??
Nice review and great sounding amp but it was hard to hear him call a "Raleigh" a "rally" over and over and over.
All I can say is WOW. 3 watts and you get that sound. I am a subscriber to Guitarworld and I TOTALLY missed the review on this one. TIme to look through my previous issues to find it.
Small amp Big tones....its really sweet!!
Nice! A tweed champ is a the top of my new amp list. This Amp is now in the #2 spot! Carr makes great amps 😄
Did you buy an amp?
I haven’t added any new amps. I haven’t gigged out in a while so a second amp has moved to a lower position on my gas list 🤣 This is still a great sounding amp!
@@robertshamansky1912 I feel you. I don't gig out but still like having nice tone at home.
Just love the amp it's really something I've always wanted one , mine is on the way! Flavors the name of the game an this amp has it all!
You end up liking it?
I just love it just an amazing amp thanks!
Very true!

The A is soft not hard, it is pronounced like the city in NC....
it's not rally it's ral eigh.
His pronunciation got more annoying as the video went on making me think it was on purpose. Haha.
@@gkbradshaw It is safe to say he has never spent any time at all in North Carolina. I would have him reshoot it with the right pronunciation, if I were Carr. Just saying.
amazing amp smooth tones
Impressive and tremendously musical little amp.
NICE PRS!!! MY FAV GUITARS!
the carr rambler sounds even better, also this demo doesn't even come close to doing it justice
wow, great amp. really like the overdrive tone.
is that the best he has ever sounded?
thank you, I was thinking the same thing everytime he said the name... You would think he would get that straight reviewing a product. I can't wait for him to review the new Mee-sah Bowgie amp.
Sounds incredible!
SE = Student Edition, it means no frills.
This PRS obviously has the "birds" fret marker option which is not available on PRS's SE models.
Great dem, Paul. Nice tones.
Wow it sounds SO FUCKING PRETTY!!
Sounds really nice.
Sweet sounding amp. No foot switch kills the deal for me, gotta be able to switch on the fly.
the foam is sound absorbant. It is probably meant to prevent undesireable resonaces from occuring in the box the amp is standing on.....and it looks pretty...I am sure that is the main reason he choose that color
You need that PRS. Any amp sounds good with that

holy shit amazing overdrive
What did he call it?
Sounds like bliss!
For all those watching and having lived in NC all my life (where the amp is made): RAH-lee ;)
He means 11 o clock.
So its on about 4 to 5
one of the most incredible amps ive heard. until ill have one of these ill handle with my blackheart :)
Raleigh is pronounced Rah lee, ask the maker Steve Carr!
is it PRS SE or just PRS?
Rallay?
Captain Midnight Maybe he's Canadian. Rall, eh?
i know what i mean is is it PRS made in korea or PRS made in the states
SE is a model of guitars by PRS
The volume at 11. Where it allways should be ;)
@Crazybenjiwoo How? and why do you have a question mark after lol?
those on their on are sound-proof
Sweet overdrive, but I'll never buy a boutique amp again unless you give me reverb as well.
i need that amp!
how much are they?
for me carr make the best amps. o really havent heard better amps
Nice amp + sounds natural and tubey. But the price....
@jiveturkeynjunk
if it comes with that amp and that cat's chops, i'll take the dang haircut.
then again, i've got jason statham hair already, so what do i have to lose?
CRUSHING OVERDRIVE
it's nice but not worth $1,300 (to me) i'd sooner buy an orange tiny terror halfstack or something else with that kinda money my favorite amps are the bogner shiva and ecstasy and those are way more pricey but totally worth what you pay
raw-lee!
Ra-Leigh , not Rally
Paul; I would like to "axe" you a question! Why can't you pronounce the name of this great amp. It is not pronounced "RALLY". Think; Sir Walter "Raleigh".
How would you like to have that hairdo? Not me. (nice amp though)
It's the Raleigh, not the Rally. 😅
The location of that hole in your jeans is disturbing. I'm glad the guitar is never removed from your lap.
What this amp cost $1'300?
This is crazy i bought the Blackheart Little Giant and that amp rocks an don't cost a future
How can anyone separate the sound of the amp from the sound of the guitar? They should always use the same guitar when testing amps. Which, I don't know, maybe they do.
fortune*
and the worst part is that it has flat body
It’s not a Rally amp
Could have been worse, he could have pronounced it, the "RAY LEE". Now, let's take a listen...
@mguygh lol ?? this could be the funniest/stupidest comment ive seen in a long while.
play if we wanted information on the amp we would fucking look it up
what in the blankety blank is up with that hair dude!!???
Paul pronouncing it "rally" was like fingernails on a chalkboard.
yeah they're great but not worth what they're priced at
this guy needs a haircut.
