- This video: PVA Glue and Resin - Can you Guess What Happens? shows how epoxy resin reacts when you add PVA Glue. I was surprised by the reaction and the outcome of this experiment.

I never would have thought you could get away with this one! I figured the PVA would have way too much water content. Thanks for doing all these 'experiments' and saving me the time of doing it myself!
I was guessing sticky, bendy mess but they came out perfectly, brilliant! Certainly saves buying white pigment :)
Oh goody! New ways to play! Ty😘😍
Your resin experiments are always so much fun. Thank you!
It's always interesting to watch your experiments. You must have a gazillion coasters by now though !!
Please do an update after a month or so because I can’t remember who but they did a similar test and it messed up after a few weeks. Thanks for doing these for us
@@SteveMcDonaldArtsandCrafts That is awesome I’m going to try it now myself could have just been what she used! Thank you so much for doing these experiments for us 💜
love the blue one. can you use elmers glue?
I really didn’t think PVA would allow the resin to set, amazed it did. Great way to extend colours you have to make lighter shades. Another great experiment
Your experiments are very educational. Hope you had a great Christmas.
I'll be darned! Wouldn't have guessed that result! Good to know!
Quite surprising! Especially love the extra experiment with the blue and gold, really cool effects!
Interesting experiment. I really like how the blue and gold turned out.
I'm curious to see what the clear PVA glue introduced into it would look like or what would happen.
This is so helpful for my project..
Excellent video!
I was hoping to identify which resin specifically ...
Great,I learn something every time I watch you.your the best
That is quite amazing i love how you take things to add to resin to get awesome results.
@@SteveMcDonaldArtsandCrafts You're welcome Steve I just made a crumb bun this year still not very mobile.lol
Woow this came out amazingly!
I would never have thought about using pva but it really works. I love the difference it made to the colours & the pattern in the blue one. They turned out lovely
Amazing! Thanks for sharing
Such a creative concept, the end result was a nice surprise! I have watched videos with poor results after adding liquid to resin. Your experiment helped us learn ways to stretch our resin investment and create softer tones of the colors we already own. Plus your delightful humor is always welcome. (I appreciate your remarks regarding being messy. For me being able to find humor in the process is the sign of a happy and very creative mind. Enjoying the process should be as important as the end result - otherwise, what is the point?) Thank you for 'keeping it real' - and entertaining. Wishing you and yours all the best.
can you try the clear glue but instead of with mica use glitter im interested to see if it would suspend the glitter in the resin better
Adoro tutti i tuoi esperimenti! Sei bravissimo e molto simpatico
Awesome, I would have never thought it would have worked either. Thanks for pushing the limits and our thoughts. 🐸
Hi, I too would love to see them a year on or to hear if they changed at all.
I love yr imagination... love the blue...thanks Steve x
Subscribed. Great idea. What would we do without people like you, experimenting for us
I’m so impressed - I love the blue one! I’d love to see what else you can do with the glue.
Wonder if this would good for making waves in a beach inspired piece. Hmmmmm
😮😎😎😎😎❤️❤️❤️👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾THANK YOU!!
LOVING the PVA pattern. On the last one did you use 10 or 20% pva in the resin with the mica?
WOW this is a great idea, I can't wait to try it!
Hope your Christmas went well!
Thank you for doing this. I wonder if glue would have an effect on the working time, either to set it up quicker, or maybe extend it?
Merry Christmas, Steve!
I figured that you would end up with a gooey mess. Never expected it to get hard. You surprised me and the extra one is my fave!
Nice videos Steve I always love how you doing experiments all the time hope you had a wonderful Christmas and a happy healthy safe day my friend
I enjoy watching your show a lot. Very informative.
Awesome Experiment 👍🏻
I can't wait to see what's next 🥰
Cool experiment! Thanks for showing us
Never heard of PVA glue, but it looks awesome. The blue looks great because it’s more of a contrast. Wonderful, as always!!
PVA is just the chemical name for white wood glue, it's pretty common stuff.
@@tweakerkid i guess I just never heard it called that, haha.
Love your experiments, very informative...thank you
Thank you for all your experiments.
I want to try this with glow on the dark elmers glue!
Wow 😳. I thought pva glue will be complete translucent if it's dries 🤔. The effect is great and i love the white color 👍🏼❤️. What will be happen, if you use alcohol ink with pva glue and resin? Happy holidays from Germany 🤗.
Very cool!
That was really cool idea 🤔 I love it 💙💜💙 keep pouring 😀
@@SteveMcDonaldArtsandCrafts I finally got PayPal so I sent you 10 I think lol I am from Canada so I don't know your money lol
Love that x
Wow...amazing!
Very nice love the effect💯😁
Looks awesome!
Interesting 🤔
Happy New Year! I love how these turned out!!
Do you still have them? I would love to see what they look like after a year.
kewl project as always Steve! tysm! i wonder what would happen if you had clear resin in the mold then spread a glob of the pva thru it while the resin was still wet ... would it have time to meld with the resin... would it just make tht spot weak.. would it make a pretty lil white cloudy area...🤔 always giving us so many new ideas Steve!❤❤❤tfs!
Marble effect the white one
Do You have a video on what kind of paint can possibly be used with resin?
Would you do experament with cement and pva, or resin.
Really surprised...thought if any moisture...like water from the PVA...got in the resin...it would ruin it...stay safe...press on 😎
What is the advantage of using PVA glue as opposed to mixing in white alcohol ink? Thanks
On the extra one… did you add the pva to the blue one?
Sorry, but was the last one “blue” without any resin? Love your experiments 🧪.
Could you use the PVA to seal and stick down a small picture/photo?
If you use a resin that is heat resistant would the pva effect the heat resistance?
Whenever you add anything to a resin it automatically bulls whatever the box says...
Like if you take resin and mix with colors/glitters and the box said it was safe for ___ then it automatically nullified the statement, because you are changing up the composition.
Did you try to dissolve them afterwards?
I'd be interested to know if the white one is still white now. Since PVA is meant to dry clear. I think it's possible the outside layers dried clear, but then because the resin inhibits air flow or whatever it is that dries PVA the PVA suspended inside isn't fully cured. If that's the case then maybe a year plus on it won't be so white, but more translucent.
I actually think you are as messy as I am! Believe me, that’s saying something! 😂❤️
Does the PVA make the resin less likely to break?
we wand to bond poly propline with poly propline, how this will be possible. Thanks in advance for guidance.
How long do they stay colorful or do they loose shin over time?
I'd be curious to see if you could swirl together resin with pva and resin without.
This is very interesting😀. Does PVA glue contain water, I thought it did. Using clear PVA might stop the colours lightening if you wanted to retain original shade perhaps. When I am able I shall try some pva in resin😀 . Hope you had a nice xmas.
PVA glue huh, like school glue or Elmer's glue all? I use the glue all with water to make a pour medium for my acrylicnpours when I don't have Floetrol
Ohhhh that’s a neat idea!!!! So I thin the glue and add it to the paint?
@@amandageyer795 ummm yeah there are videos on how to use Elmer's Glue All not School Glue, add water mix very well, then add that to your paint you want the glue all and water mix to be more than the paint, just like you would with Floeteol or pouring medium of any kind. I don't prefer it since it causes cracks in the paint if you don't use enough water, the paint and mixture dries and it will crack, I have had a few issues with the correct ratio so I just bought Floetrol when I got enough money
@@SteveMcDonaldArtsandCrafts sweet! Well Glue All isn't the school glue that is a different type of glue, it isn't made for kids as much. It has more glue and chemicals i believe, and thats why Elmer's made the school glue, it is safer for children and has more water in it I do believe. But cool beans I just want to make sure b4 I tried my own experiment! Steve my man you are the Bee's Knees! Also want to tha k you for turning me on to Myriam's channel! She is wicked! You both are great thank you so much for all your content!
Does the PVA glue dry white? Most if not all that I've seen dry clear or mostly clear.
the all pva is the blue one? does pva give off toxic fumes? can you use pva in the house with pets?
On the last one, the PVA was in the blue?
@@SteveMcDonaldArtsandCrafts 🤔 I was and am still wondering the same, …because there’s no mention of red in the very last one, only blue and gold…
I was gifting several containers of different color glitter glue. Do you know if you can add the glitter glue to the resin?? In place of dry glitter?
Hi Steve. I am new at resin working. I live on Canada and was wondering if you could please tell me what is a real good hard resin to cover over projects to protect them. Thank you❤
Please is the combination of PVA and resin is the product called resina?
I would love to see what would happen if you just dropped the PVA into the resin
@@SteveMcDonaldArtsandCrafts not going for ugly thanks for the information
The blue one looks like Lapis lazuli.
what is the name of tjhe resin ?
hey...I added glitter glue in resin but it's not curing....its been 24 hours but it's still sticky....other resin pieces are cured accept one with glitter glue....what should I do
DO we know if there is a way to get Glow in the dark paint to work well, anyone know the mix ???
❤️👍🏾😎
I've been wondering if you could use pva as a sealant. I can't find mod podge so thought about pva but haven't been brave enough to try it yet. I have some photos id like to put in resin but don't want to ruin them & I don't have any other thing to test it with.
@@SteveMcDonaldArtsandCrafts Thankyou 😊 Wishing you all the best for the New Year 🎉
😢video too lomg and emglish is not my nAtive speaker...i wants to know the one epoxy mix pva...what percent pva and what percent epoxy?is 1:1 or 50%????
I really love your experiments and am SO grateful for all the work you do producing the videos but don’t enjoy these videos as much as your earlier chatty ones. These newer ones feel really hurried and not as informative as you used to be. It takes me a few rewinds to get the gist of the details. Is there any chance you will go back to being a chatty man 👍🤩💕
Interesting! Love the blue and gold one---but which color had the pva mixed into it? I'm thinking it's effect is made by one of the colors having just a slightly heavier weight to it... Really like your videos, I don't see them as "rushed", I appreciate that you don't waste time showing the unnecessary stuff...watching someone stir for 3 minutes drives me crazy! 😎
@@SteveMcDonaldArtsandCrafts Hi Steve, sorry that might have come across all wrong 😉. I don’t mean the type of inane chatter some vloggers indulge in, you have never been one of those. I find myself going back and forth sometimes trying to figure out what had just happened, might be me being slow on the uptake 🤷♀️ 👍💕
The blue looks like a snowflake
