If you immensely fell in love with any one XAVIER DOLAN film and his visual approach,without any question you can watch his entire Filmography and you would love it.. Starting from I Killed my Mother to Matthias and Maxime, even criticized films of his are a distinctive cinematic experience. Personally Dolan is my favorite contemporary filmmaker and his HEARTBEATS is a MASTERPIECE.

The death and life of John Donovan is a criminally underrated movie

SPOILER. The ending of the kid being free as John couldn't is like a poetic justice to the mark John left on the kid's life.

I only saw his debut work I Killed My Mother. And I was so stunned! Didnt expect something this good and artistic ftom a young filmmaker. He is a genius.
I'm going to die soon in a couple of days, just know that these videos where some of the best things that came to mind in these last few weeks that I had. I watched as many movies as I could, falling in love with so many. I just wanted to thank you for making these, they're eternal and special.
One movie that comes to mind that I would've liked to do a 'Beauty of edit' myself was "Rosso come il cielo" (Red like the Sky). Its the type of cinema I was born with, along with "Io non ho paura" (I'm not scared). It speaks to my past and childhood, I never questioned why I shared my experiences with white films and kids of a different tone than mine, but I've been holding them very close ever since.
Anyways, I wish you the very best, never stop and I hope that somehow I can keep watching, from on the earth or wherever I'll be. Thanks again 💙 sweet dreams everyone 💤💤💤

Fun Facts about young Xavier Dolan:
As a child Dolan was well know in Quebec for the french-canadian dubs of notable roles like Ron Weasley (Harry Potter), Jacob Black (Twilight), Stan Marsh (South Park) to name a few. He also did many other minor roles in québecois TV and cinéma. I remember him fondly in "La Forteresse Suspendue" (The Suspended Fortress) & several others when I was young.

He is also the son of Manuel Tadros, another big personality in Québec, who perhaps most famously portrayed Rodrigo Borgia, the antagonist in the Assassin's Creed II & AC: Brotherhood video games.

Although I don’t like every single one of his movies, Mommy and Laurence Anyways are some of my favorites, his scenery is incredible. He’s a very talented director. I’m curious to know why you chose this music ? Must’ve been hard to choose between all the iconic tracks he used (Wonderwall, Born to Die, Ludovico Einaudi, etc...). They will have fit perfectly on this video as well.
