- Beautifully Broken is Jelly Roll’s newest studio album, dropping October 11th. The project touches themes of addiction, recovery and self growth, rooted in first-person country storytelling. A follow up to 2023’s blockbuster Whitsitt Chapel, this new project is a continuation of the lyrical themes and sound that Jelly fans have come to know and love, while also an exploration into new production styles and sounds venturing into hip-hop and pop. While Whitsitt Chapel established Jelly as one of country music’s most promising breakouts, Beautifully Broken is set to solidify him as one of the genre’s current superstars. Jelly Roll is joined in conversation with friend and collaborator, mgk, in Salt Lake City, UT on the eve of his arena tour.

When I heard "I am not okaY" I literally broke down in tears. I went from happy family, healthy with plans for the future to dysfunctional family, suicidal, unhealthy and wondering if I could live with the things that can't be cured. I was at a loss everytime someone asked "how are you doing" because it isn't as if people really want to hear your sob story nor is it good for you to focus on as sympathy can make you feel even worse. (When my Mom would say "oh honey I am so sorry for what you are going through" it just made the pity party last longer and wasn't good for my mental health.) I really struggled with an answer but ended up with "hanging in there" as the best response. This man is such a wonderful lyricist and his words touch so many people. If he has any doubt about whether he is making a difference he can be sure that more than any artist in the last 20 years, his words translate to millions of people's feelings and truly helped the healing.
Ok well I cried. Those two are amazing men in their own right and amazing together as wonderful friends. I'm so proud of how far they have both come. Jelly you truly are an inspiration to many. And btw. Coward of the County has been and will always be one of my favorite songs. Grew up listening to it from my folks as well. Thx Spotify. This was great.

I have to disagree about whether he is "country" . He is what I would call a singer/songwriter and the sound is completely unique to him. I hear country influence, rap, gospel, rock depending on the song. The ability to transcend genres is a rare gift and he has it in spades.

I am an individual who overcame addiction as well. Although my platform isnt in front of millions to see. I still strive to help others when the time presents its self. The key to life is stay close to our Heavenly Father. Be able to use the gift of discernment and not be selfish.
