- Video: A windy and rainy evening rush hour spotting trains at Kettering station on the Midland Main Line, featuring many peak hour fast and stopping East Midlands Trains services as well as TfL Rail / Crossrail 345062 storage move hauled by ROG/Europhoenix 37611. This was working the 592L 1347 Old Oak Depot to Worksop Down Yard move.
This was filmed during the transition phase from the Stagecoach East Midlands Trains franchise to the Abellio East Midlands Railway (EMR), so some shots of the station rebranding is also shown.
Some highlights included: The ex-Grand Central EMT Angel HST sets (incl. 43484 in its EMT livery), the 345 drag and the Melton Mowbray via Corby 10 car Meridian splitting.
TRAINS INCLUDED:
East Midlands Trains Class 43 HSTs (incl. ex-Grand Central 'Angel HST' sets) & Class 222 Meridians, Rail Operations Group (ROG) Class 37 with TfL Rail / Crossrail Class 345 Aventra.

Great video in pouring conditions. Love the screaming Valentas at 11:15 and the claggy 43043 and the scream from the rear power car in the next clip. They're musical instruments to anyone's ears. Shame they're going to be replaced soon with VTEC units.
Thanks, it does feel like the late 2000s again with the MTU engine taking over the screaming sounding HST. Though I do prefer the Project Mallard seats on the VTEC/LNER Mk3 coaches.
