This is how electricity is produced

In this video I demonstrated electromagnetic induction and how generators and bicycle dynamo produce electricity
So I took a toroidal transformer from an old inverter and connected the secondary windings of the transformer to the multimeter and took the primary coil and connecting it to the battery
As I connected the battery an electromagnet was produced on the primary coil which then induced the current to the secondary coil
Connecting the battery to the transformer and you will see that the multimeter kicks in one direction and disconnecting the battery the multimeter kicked in the opposite direction
No current was generated without opening and closing the circuit rapidly and continuously
Then I removed the battery and took a magnet and pass it near the coil and the electricity was produced only when there was relative motion between the magnet and the coil
That's how generators work they work by rotating the magnet inside a coil and as the magnet changes its direction it results in changing in magnetic field around the wire and hence inducing the current
