This song never gets old for me. Heard it for the first time 30 years ago. This song introduced me to Shawn Smith. I was privileged enough to see him play with Satchel and Brad at First Ave in Minneapolis. Great shows! Miss him so much but he gave us so much music to appreciate. Thank you Shawn!
Shawn wouldn’t have had it any other way. God blessed us with him for the short time we had him. In this very song he sings “Life is death. It never amounts to much until it’s over.”
I first heard this song when I worked in a record store and we received "EDC" as a promo. This track and "Suffering" always stuck out for me as my 2 favorite tracks. I still enjoy the entire album today and will probably seek out a spare copy since I'm getting close to wearing the promo out.
Got the Tonnage compilation released by Epic because I was obsessed with G Love and Special Sauce and had randomly seen K's Choice at some tiny festival back in '95. It was all about unreleased records back in the day. This song knocked me out and gives me good memories hearing it now.
I was around in 1995 when this had some radio play. I had the album. I was putting together a 1995 sound track and wanted this. One of the best of the grunge era. It's not on MP3?

Too bad they only have 2 songs on UA-cam I can’t find any of there other music 😢
Shawn Smith deserved more and better than how things went for him, not only because of his talent, but he also seemed to be a genuinely good person.

in a perfect world, this song would have been a hit, and the album it came from a chart-topper.

This type of music is reserved for the underground, it's more precious that way

Great underrated band ...
Much love
A few years before he passed I crossed paths with Shawn at the South Lake Union Guitar Center. He was always so peaceful, inquisitive, and brave.

CREED'S INSPIRATION
I can hear some of Hum's "Stars" in the rhythm riff in the chorus, also.
