I bought a few repro N64 games from Amazon a while ago. As long as they work perfectly, that’s what counts in my book. I’d rather not pay $100 for just one game; one time I saw a copy of Super Smash Bros. 64 for $100 in Game City.

That’s one quality I’ve observed, I only own four n64 games and I’m pretty sure only one of them is an authentic copy. The repro copies have a more smooth texture while the real ones are slightly more grainy. However, it doesn’t really matter to me, as long as it has the entire game coded in and it runs well then I don’t care
As long as they’re taken care of you’re usually good. The only issue is when purchasing them off others you never know whether they truly work 100% until you fully test them.
I like Reproduction cartridges because I'm not going to spend hundreds of dollars on a orginal cartidge but if I finde one at a garage sale yes then I'm happy that I have orginal one but if just want just play a game I lost as a kid Then I will buy a repoducton plus I know some who buys old broken ones Refurbish them and resales them for cheap price were I live so that's a plus.
i agree! idc if its a repro obviouslt if you resell the game dont try to scam someone for 100 dollars not oem game other then that its a great way to at least just play a game ty for the video subbed
Where wold you recommend buying a repro copy of Conker's bad fur day. I've heard about reproduction games bricking peoples consoles or only working for a few minutes then crashing and I'm looking to find a copy of the game that would last a while and will actuallt save. I just want to play the game without spending over $100, ive tried looking on etsy and ebay but can't figure out which one would be the best to buy. Any recommendations or tips would be appreciated thanks.
There's unfortunately no way to know what's going to truly last with reproductions. This is when emulation comes in and becomes the better option for gaming classic titles
I dont really like reproduction cartridges, they feel kinda cheap (which they are ofcourse) but for some games I kinda understand it, I just bought Conker's bad fur day (PAL) from amazon, for a real cartridge you pay around 200 euro (with box and manual you pay over 400), this repro costs 50 euro which is still way to much for a repro.
When you crack them open you can see other issues (ie shell doesn't line up quite right, they skip the inner screws to secure the board to the front of the cart).
I think that emulation and the multicarts (ie Everdrive) have pretty much made repros useless. Barring buying used Repros super cheap for display purposes is about the only use I can see for them. Also there are number of titles where the repro only offers about $5-$10 savings over the original. Add that in with the inconsistent build quality (the onboard memory is generally the biggest issue) and it's just not good money spent to buy them at $20 or more each.

Agreed! Unless you're a collector then it really doesn't matter as long as they work. I'm not a collector myself just a lover of games.

I have never had a issue with cartridges other than replacing a save battery in a gameboy color game

Yeah, I'm not a collector. I just want to play the game... Most N64 reps are under 20.00 .. last one I bought was conkers bad day.... Works awesome.
Bought 007 ,super Mario 64 and Mario kart and they work flawless. Super Mario even has the game skip glitches.
