- Once I started watching more videos on foam crafting, I began hearing about the OLFA utility knife model with the ratchet wheel. Over the years I've had a collection of utility knives but never really gave the quality or features of the knife a lot of thought, if it held a blade it was good enough.
I thought I'd take a look at this OLFA knife that seems so popular in this video. Spoiler: I definitely think it's a very good knife and worth the $10!

Glad I found this video! I do a lot of art projects and use xacto knives and was told to try the Olfa 18mm knife. I just purchased one today along with some extra blades and I was wondering what to expect. Thank you for sharing!
I hope you like it as much as I do. While a bit pricier, I really do prefer it for any kind of "important" work. I still keep the old knives around for opening boxes :)

Funny you used a razor rather than the HF or Stanley to open the package.
Just a habit I think, I always have a 100-pack of single edge blades around and they're sort of my everyday utility "knife".
