Never heard this before. Mind Flowers is one of my favorite psychedelic songs and it was very interesting to hear this and see the evolution of the song to the studio version a year later. Personally I would have not have the female singer echo every line (although I do like her style on other songs like Hip Death Godess). But this is a vibe song. The studio version is more polished and the music comes at you in waves. This raw live performance captures the vibes and shows what is to emerge on the album Behold And See. Excellent stuff like the Jazz Thing. Great band, multi faceted, classical, psychedelic, rock and more..might be an acquired taste for some but once you're in it's a great trip (to the center of your mind?)
I couldn't agree with you more. I could imagine what the vibe was being at that show very trippy. It was more than just a show. It was what they called a "Scene" or a "Happening,". Not only very hippy but very beatnik as well. I dig it all.
I discovered Ultimate Spinach in 1984. Love this. Check out a band out of Connecticut called US 69. They had one album called Yesterday's Folks on the Buddha label from 1969. I think you'll dig it

Thank you so much for this piece of art!
We cover this in my band.
you are lucky to be in a band that appreciates great 60's music
Yes love English psych as well but 13 floor elevators started it all maybe not with the printed word psych on the cover
Live version predating the Ultimate Spinach album. - a rare treasure!
Ian Bruce Douglas rocks!
