You have to become obsessed with learning first, and then taking action‼️ I lost the Bid BTW, yesterday they awarded it to some other dude! I was actually happy, not for losing, but happy that I took the chance, so now I’m about to go super hard, and bid on other opportunities that I see fit! Do exactly what they specifically ask for is my motto, and when you play with the numbers don’t get greedy, but don’t beat yourself either!

What if they ask for Past Performances and this is my very first gov con?!!? I’m not getting discouraged, I feel like I should still submit my proposal.
You have past performance because you have expertise in a specific area. If you don't have past performance in the area that you are bidding, find a "trusted" partner that does and be the sub at first. It's absolutely nothing wrong with being a sub and not a prime. Also, I highly encourage you to enroll in Dr. Parks GovCon winner program. This will allow you to get around others who are learning the Federal Contract space or they are already in the space whom you can connect with. You can do it! Stay motivated! 😉
Your past experience is what you or your subcontractor has done. You’ll need to gather references to list in your proposal. They’re probably asking for their contact information and the particulars of the work you did for that entity. Super simple! If you use a subcontractor you will take on their persona, so their past performance becomes yours. You’re going to present as partners within the bid but showcase the subs past performance and how it correlates with successfully achieving the requirements of the bid.
The melinated people of this country have been kept out of information for so long and we have struggled individually and as a nation of people to get where we are now. Yet, those of us with some knowledge charge for their information like its still a secret instead of mentoring those who are seeking information and are putting in the work to achieve higher. As a single parent I don't have 1k-5k to give for your information. It's crazy that many of you do this and charge fees or amounts that still keep many of us from ownership. SMH....other races mentor those that want, need, and are seeking. Why do we treat each other the same way this racist society has treated us for generations.
Thank you for sharing. When I didn't have the funds to invest in a coach, I took notes strategically from the information shared on UA-cam that was known to be effective. I searched for free, listened for free then executed with sweat equity. When I saved up enough funds, then I invested in a coach. But technically, I looked at them as my coach whom they didn't know they were coaching ;-) You can do this! I'm rooting for you! You have this, don't give up 😉
