That list is hardly an understatement. One of the most beautiful designs was that of the Spanish team in the free routine at London 2012, whose swimsuits and caps emulated fish scales, a very avant-garde design made with geometric mirrors or the Russian gold record holders Svetlana Romashina and Svetlana Kolesnichenko with the elegant and subtle spider-shaped swimsuits trimmed in micro sequins and crystals at Tokyo 2020, but most of all, the fabulous swimsuits they wore in the 2012 free routine decorated with creepy white doll faces and outstretched hands, as if the dolls were trying to escape. Their eye makeup was giant eyelash patterns, extending from their real eyelids to their eyebrows. They wore their hair up in Princess Leia buns wrapped in red. All to the sensational but terrifying music of Tim Burton's Sleepy Hollow and Dario Argento's Suspiria.
Someday, I would like to see all replays(both Tech and Free) of previous Olympic games to see all swimsuits and caps. Each nation's swimmers has their own unique swimsuit design & themes and I want to see them all.
