- I don't know what happened on the 27th July 2024 when I ran my first official Half Marathon, but I beat my Personal Best and felt like I could take on the world!
You dont have to be Kipchoge, you don't have to be a runner tbh, but I think if youre relatively fit and able, its something everyone should do at least once!
The endorphins, the constant crowd cheering, the commraderie from the strangers running beside you and the beautiful weather that day, were the best dopamine cocktail I could ask for. And clearly something was in the air because I pushed through the whole way with a smile on my face!
If you're thinking about entering one. DO IT!
To follow my running (calisthenics, gymnastics, ice skating, yoga etc etc lol) on a daily basis find me on my new instagram: @jade_moves

Congrats on the PB! A fantastic run.
Yep, totally agree. They are hard but a great target to aim at.
If anyone is thinking of giving one a go..then go for it!
@@Martin_Edmondson hey thanks so much! It was such a brilliant day and so unexpected too! The cherry on top to a lovely day! 🥰
Awesome, well done on setting a PB! Love all your videos. You are so inspirational.
@@mohsinarif2802 thanks so much!
Well done Jade
That's a very respectable time especially if you haven't been running for a while.
@@dominiclucas1272 thank you! Yes I surprised myself haha
Every now and then I also run in sandals like this cool guy. (Shamma Warriors). I know it looks weird , but it forces you to run on your forefoot. This made my knee pain go away.
hey thats great to hear! yes i can imagine so as a lot of people run barefoot for this reason and those flat sandles mimic the feeling of being barefoot. I heard its great for knee pain, fantastic that it worked for you!
You look amazing, Jade. Congratulations 🎊 I wanna do a half Marathon. Only ever run a 5k. Cheers from America 🇺🇸
@@DustyJones45 thanks and you so should! It’s great to challenge ourselves and do something new 🙌
Guess that answered my question eh! Big congrats for getting a 21 in the bag (is it your first over this distance?) _and_ for recording a PB 👏. Oh and also well done on the 20kg dips 💪. I think you would probably have been a bit faster if you had trained, as you mentioned, not to go so headstrong out of the gates, but hey, I'm not one to talk. Next time eh! So destination London Marathon 2026 here we come 🏅!?
tip: Jelly Babies … always run 21k with Jelly Babies … hee hee …
haha thanks! yep ran this distance loads of times and im comfy sitting at 1.55 normally, so this was a nice PB. I think i could have gone faster too as i pushed but not as hard and i feel i got a PB because i didnt have to stop ever for traffic or people as a made path for the race is there already.
yesss you never know i may or may not do london marathon ha. and yes i dont need food until about 23/24km then i eat jelly babies theyre great! i ran 50km and made me 2nd YT video ever about it, but now im going for a bit of speed so we shall see how i go!
Great effort, are you any good at swimming?
@@epicjuk9658 Haha no I don’t really enjoy swimming as otherwise I’d try triathlon or something but thank you!
