- Join me for a day in the life of a heavy plant mechanic working in construction, forestry and quarries ! I work for Scotlands only dealer of Develon construction equipment we do diggers, dozers, shovels and dump trucks ! In this episode I’ll be up in the borders looking at a 225 and finally diagnosing the adblue consumption problem then on the way back a 140 with an engine management light and finally a aDX210 finishes me off plus loads more !
Congratulations on the 10000 subs, well deserved.
Congratulations…but the ads get longer 😢
I think that’s because of the length of the video we will see 🤞
Congratulations in reaching 10 k subscribers well done 👏
Cheers Gary 🥳
Yeah 10K, all that is needed is all those that watch, hit Like👌👍💪💥
The fuse saver is a great idea but one can use a 12 volt incandescent light bulb across the fuse if there is a short the bulb will light up. (ohms law) about the only thing I remember form school days :)
Awesome video thanks Ali for your time and consideration top job 🚜💯🛠️🔧🚜🚜🚜🚜
Cheers Ali, a good variety there, but not untypical for a mobile Plant Mechanic. See you on the next one.🤙
14:40 I've had those errors before, taking out the sensor and wiping them off usually fixes al the issues for me.
Great video! It’s been a busy time for u. U will have to give Joe seels some advice on his old digger
Congratulations on 10k. Still nothing better than a grumpy Ali, makes my day so much better. 🏴
😂 my wife doesn’t agree
I would almost put money on it the 225 with the cracked plastics is cleaned with a pink cleaning product?
The dam stuff used in excess also known to cause bad contact electrical problems if it gets in fuse board or elec connections
Yup your dead on and I’ve told em to use it somewhere else but I noticed there’s still a bottle in the cab 🤷♂️🤦♂️
Hi Ali...I have both agricultural tractors and an 8 ton machine. Why,oh why dont excavators have cab (at least) and even body suspension ? They would jar your teeth out on hard ground.
I suppose they don’t expect you to be tracking for long periods of time but ours are all on rubber mounts and seat suspension
What are the advantages of "high -track" set-up on diggers ? Also, where do you think the 5 ltrs. of hydraulic fluid went ? It is a "sealed system" is it not ,so you should see some sort of seepage somewhere?
I think the driver had a bust hose since the last time it was serviced, the high track is ideally suited to the forestry as it straddles the stumps so you don’t need to pull them out in front of you
10.000 subs congrats
Hi ali
I think you was travelling behind me on wednesday just before denholm
I was in a white sprinter with one yellow rear door
Yea I remember seeing it !

See you hit the 10 k mark
🥳
Ali, a lot of manufacturers state you can use engine oil in the hydraulic system, 15/40 listed where I have worked, makes the oil darker but not harmful to the components 15/40 is between 46 & 68 grade, we also used to use FNH(Ford New Holland) 10/30 oil in hydraulics.
The thought did cross my mind but thought someone on here would be upset with me 😂
Maybe, but those of us in the know would understand 👍
I use copper slip on bolts that take a lot of heat
