The venom isn't just lethal, it also has digestive enzymes that kick start the digestion process... it does no good in a dead rat or mouse because it just pools right where it's injected instead of being circulated throughout the body.

Dawg! That second rat was doin' the Hoochie-Coochie, the Stop, Drop, an' roll...and even put in a lil' break-dancin' to top thangs off! In those last moments of his life -He was definitely LIT!!! He gave a new definition to Shake, Rattle, an' Roll!!! Annnnnnnnnnddd then, he was LUNCH!!!
So, I assume that they aren't like Ball Pythons and have to have all the humidity or are they similar? Balls have to have around 60% humdity and hot and warm side. 85-92 hot and 75-82 cool side. Are they basically the same as your Rattlesnakes? I'm in TN and I am gonna have to look into what permits and stuff you have to have to own venomous snakes.

I among many others have been feeding frozen thawed to venomous snakes for decades and they're just fine.
