  • During a panel discussion led by Collin Hansen at TGCW22, Jackie Hill Perry, Preston Perry, Melissa Kruger, and Michael Kruger discuss what it looks like to have healthy, godly marriages. Both couples emphasize the need for respect, listening, authenticity, and confession. The panel also talks about the importance of focusing on the positive aspects of your spouse and being for your spouse in every situation, never trying simply to win an argument.
Hansen asks questions like “How do you protect your marriage?” and “What does it mean to honor your spouse’s family?” The couples talk about the importance of pursuing healthy friendships, having fun together, and praying for one another daily. They say marriage is a reflection of the individual's relationship with God and that as you both look to Christ together, more unity in marriage inevitably follows.

Unconditional love! 11:22 if our spouses met all of our conditions, we would never learn how to love unconditionally! Wow

A Christian leader once was asked about secrets to a better marriage. His response? “Be a better Christian”. Pretty simple.

Geez, I'm crying. This is sooooo good. I'm single and honestly praying for a godly husband. These couples made me long for marriage even more. Such wisdom and love. I loved every second of it.

Jackie's comment about her children growing up in "a whole community" was beautiful and brought tears to my eyes. And praise God for marriage being a picture of the future wedding/marriage to come, as Michael said. Thank you for sharing!

This is so good. I really love the question on how their spouses point them to God.

Great testimony! Thanks! Loved Preston's sincerity. I hope future generations of children will be able to say that their parents lived a meaningful life, not only focused on themselves but sacrificially working together to bring the hope and salvation of Jesus as a sanctified and loving family.

I’d like to see the Perry’s dress up just a bit more. Stop ministering in clothes that look like you’re sweeping a dusty house all the time. Just way too chill and Jackie still way to masculine. How we show up even in dress matters to God. The Church really needs to get that. I love them tho and the ministry they have.

It could have ended at I love them, that's all❤️ and for us who grew up in legalistic churches, it's a breath of fresh air that we don't have to “act up” and dress a certain “holy” way while being Christian. They are ministering to us.
