hello I'm building my first nonprofit. My question is what kind of non profit will we be? we will be providing self sustaining transitional homes for people in various communities the company itself will run fundraisers and other self generating revenue ideas that all tie into purchasing homes to be turned into sober living homes the company will charge rent which will pay for utilities and costs tied the homes city taxes the remaining income from the homes will be placed into the company to buy more homes. Will we be a public charity? A private foundation? or a private operating foundation?
yes,

Please help me get the proper form for forming a non profit corporation if you can!
Can a nonprofit only have 1 board member to start?
Usually not. Most states are going to require more than that. And even though the IRS doesn't specifically give a minimum number in their written regulations, in practice they generally expect to see a minimum of three.
Thank you so very much for this exceptionally helpful information. So much love to you. ❤
Thanks...We're glad to hear it was helpful for you!

obtain your 501(3) C Tax Exempt Status.
