could have done a road play wrapping the 8 and up the coast Edit: This was before he did the road settle to the 11/3. He had materials for 6 roads. Road chain would be from 9 wood to the 8 wood, drop 2 roads to loop around the 8 wood, and then drop 3 roads to the 5 brick for 11 roads.
Great game as always, the only real mistake i saw was dropping the road to the 8 Wood 3:1 instead of going to the 8 4 First 18:00 , diversifying your wheat and getting the uncontested road up the coast. Especially since you already had a 3:1
but that will motivate orange to plough him. Safe bet at that point is to go to 8 10. But mistake at 20:00 to not take 8 4 settle when he had 6 wood, 4 brick and wheat.
Popping at 20:00 is a mistake in hindsight. .. settle on 8 4 for 8 and stay in road game by wrapping around 8, 4 and 5 will almost give a city, so you can win without all the shenanigans
I was thinking at 21:28 that I would have cut orange by building roads down from the city around the dessert. It wouldn't give you road right away, but if you connected later that would have locked road.
Dandy, in a past comment I mentioned how it was cool you were an AAL fan. Now today you mentioned Intervals! I’ve actually seen both in concert. Transcendental experience 🤘🏼
@@ishmari14 nice! I saw the same lineup in 2016 I think, maybe 2017. Plini is the GOAT for me, AAL and Intervals are also great, but I much prefer Plini as I find his music so much more uplifting, happy, and magical. Where as I find AAL has a somewhat depressing or ominous vibe to it, not that that’s a bad thing, Intervals I find more technical and heavy. All three are awesome but Plini puts such a huge grin on my face every time I listen to him 😊
When you placed the 2 roads to 4 11. Would have it been better to place to 5 6 11 and block that end and leave other end open. Other the. Defending 4 8
Hey Dandy big fan have been watching the content for a while now and LOVE catan. In recent videos I have found that your tone towards other players to be quite condescending saying that they are no good at belittling every small mistake they make. Just makes me feel a little funny that there is this criticism. All the best!!
Yeah that turn where you extended 4 roads and popped, you had the settle for the win, like you mentioned shortly after. Kind of tough to spot to be fair :)
I had 7 wood 4 brick wheat and 2 ore. Taking longest first would leave me with 3 wood wheat and 2 ore. It’s close but not quite. The better play was to city but look to snag road next turn or settle settle FTW.

Needed 5 roads and he had 4 left no?
@@loafes1352 he had materials for 6 roads
That’s still 10 roads, isn’t it?
Really smart. Didn't see that.
This is at 29:30 for anyone confused

Thought the same, but you'd probably have to hold the road as quite easy for orange to plow by road settling on the 3:1

Super insightful at 17:00 great use case for the “should I pop” question

could have taken road circling 8 wood upwards to 10 and 5
The ROAD to success

GG Mr. Dandy. Backseat andys are out in full force today lol. Thanks for the entertainment and best of luck in the new season!
16:33 Black roles a 3 which is supposed to be a sheep for Red (You) but game gave out nothing.
There wasn't enough cards to distribute. There are only 19 of each resource in the deck.
Only after some time after orange took road I looked at his setup and thought: "How the hell did he take road with a 11 brick and a 12 wood?!"
8 10 too far? “We are a road player. We are doing road things” 😂
I dont see why the settle over the city at 31:00. Why use your last settle when you could have have the flexibility of both
14:18 if it helps with hindsight had the 8 brick not been blocked you would have 7ed out 😁
I dont get why you trade your bricks instead build the village in the very first moment

You can shred guitar but you can't type for shit 😂
Right click to port. You're welcome.

Ah yeah, I see now. Sorry, I should have checked my math before posting😅
Wasn't he one resource (ore or sheep or road) short? At 21:00?
What does OJ mean?
Orange
At this game you r so confused. Nothing to learn from you here

pls don't throw and be cocky, it's frustrating :/
