I don’t really like that idea… I’m not into “in-universe” EXEs (aside from NB and SoH as I consider those a hole different thing than EXEs) like, Alan, Dave and Paul wouldn’t be part of that if Lord X enter “the sonic world”. (Well, at least they’d be fine in this timeline) not to mention the hole “I am Sonic.EXE but elder” would be entirely scrapped (It did get de-canonized by Joe, but you could still say he is an old version of an *alternate* Sonic.EXE)

In many ways, he seems similar to a demon as he has a cult and such, but he's considered an interdimensional dark entity and not a demon.
