Listening to you Colette is like balm for the soul. You give such peace & hope to me. I've really changed how I feel, think about everything and one. With more kindness. I saved a bee from drowning in my cats water bowl yesterday & thought of you. Like everyone else here, I love your Jack...such a sweetie he is...Blessings sweet Colette XXXOOO
Dearest Colette, thank you for nurturing souls as you nurture the earth and the plants and the trees and the bees...every time I watch you something in me can allow itself to come to its own, unwind, relax, have less fear, more trust, feel more hope, connect, receonnect...I go into that space where my body aligns with my soul with my heart with my sprit with my mind...and wish I had the strength and faith to live according to that authentic space of being....blessings to you, Jack (I am so in love with that sweetie) and the lovely wisteria...and the raku pieces are so beautiful!
My first thought was: "How nice. Someone sent Colette a greenery arrangement from a local floral shop." But no -- that professional looking floral arrangement was done by you! How lovely.
Colette, I agree that nature finds it’s own way. We had what we thought was a weed growing in our backyard and try as we might we couldn’t remove it. It had pretty leaves so we left it. Turns out it will be a giant fig tree. The hilarious thing is that we were going to plant a fig tree there after getting rid of the “weed”🤣. The universe really does guide and provide for us dim witted humans. Blessings to you.
I would bet that the wisteria sensed a drought coming and made preparation to survive without water. How amazing is it that?!! I'm so happy to see it growing again.
I wish everyone would value local pottery, food sources and community based crafts as you do Colette. It's great to see your channel growing in number too. Blessings to you....I love to listen to you its like a postcard from a dear Auntie who is awake and connected to all the elements in our beautiful mother earth. Love to Jack to you and Jack.
Dear Colette, I truly believe that because of last year's dry, hot, drought weather all plants put out everything they had to try to survive. This is why I think your Wisteria is now starting to bud again. I think some plants are just exhausted and, like animals, need to rest and recoup energy. When replenished, they grow and grow stronger than ever. Thanks for the tour, x J
Your positive attitude is so uplifting Colette. Bealtaine is a sanctuary for all, and seeing those baby trees thrive is soul restoring. My Japanese maple is having lots of babies too. I have never tried to grow a tree from the babies before, but you have inspired me, and those babies are going to get every chance to become magnificent trees themselves. Thank you Colette.
Long live Lazarus the wisteria - just love your chuckle walks 😂. Locked ourselves out once when dogwalking - husband had to squeeze through the dog door - I cried chuckle tears it was so funny - he has a secret key hidden outside now - blessings xx
Have A nice Sunday to you and Mr Jack, dear Colette! That's Great watching you. Amazing plants, beautyful flowers. I admire deepest your way of life. And certainly you are a great example for the World! The Great Mother bless you very much! I usualy to plant in my flat. So let 's go to do a better Wolrd . ⚘🌼🌻🌺🌳🌴🌲🍀☘🌿🌾
The fairies are lovely. Looking at your video, I often think how lovely it is to grow your own food even though it's a back breaking job. What you have done at Bealtaine, is incredible!
Mother earth is trying to keep the angel warm😄. Your connection with the goddess is just admirable ,working together to grow inside and out. With every video I feel like if I'm walking with you around the garden, learning and feeling the energy from the earth. MAGICK😊 🌛🌚🌜 BLESSINGS TO YOU SWEET LADY.
Beautiful video Colette - you have inspired me so much ... I used to be really hard on myself for not completing projects all in one go, I would feel like I had failed & get overwhelmed with the amount of jobs to do around the house & garden. Now, I just flit about, doing 10 minutes of gardening, sewing, paperwork sorting etc. and it's amazing how much I have achieved by the end of the week! I do whatever takes my fancy at that moment and it works!! Blessings to you and Jack 🌻
I have noticed over the last few days that there is definitely an autumn energy in the air, and on a personal level this makes me so happy!. I have even been burning my "Autumn Equinox" loose incense today, probably a little premature, but it felt appropriate. On another note, my 12 year-old daughter is extremely worried about climate change, she is a sensitive soul, and is currently all-consumed with anxiety over the fear that the planet will not survive another 15-20 years. I've told her to ignore the propaganda. I have learnt so much from watching your videos of Bealtaine cottage, that Mother Earth is thriving, evolving -but thriving!. A while back you read out an excerpt from a book, it was titled something like "I am not dead yet", Collette, if you read this please could you tell me what the name of the book as I would like to show/read it to my daughter. Blessings xx
Love the self-seeded black/red currants. I have noticed that I dotted about 70 currant bushes around my croft I propagated and they are self-seeding everywhere. Its fabulous!
the purple flower is self heal, we have that here on Vancouver Island, B.C. also in abundance in August. Love your new purchases, very talented artists
Making my way through the Bealtaine videos. I can even watch as I read or doze because I am beginning to see your garden so well in my mind, and your voice in itself is so soothing. Who needs mediation when I can listen to Colette ? Anyway... this is a video about autumn and here I am so excited because I realized my organic fennel sprout seeds might just as well grow in the garden. So even though it is a tad late in early summer for planting here in my little southern edge of Canada 🇨🇦 on the shore of Lake Erie...I planted. You inspire me to step out! And if I ever come to Ireland I will beg you to introduce me to your potter friend who maybe will let me raku fire with him... much love!
Thank you for the good blessings. I agree, each day has it's own magic! The light is changing here too & the air as well even in Southern California. Your place looks great & Jack is cute as ever!😊🐾
I love Autumn it has felt like Autumn for the last few weeks at 6am then later on it has warmed up . I always think black and white photos show more detail . Lovely details too on your fairies I think the artist has been touch by the fairies. You never said which painting you had from your artist friend Blessings to you Colette and Jack xx
Raku is a style of pottery in Japan. It is fired twice and glazed to create a special pattern. Raku is also a word that means peace or comfort. You might know Bernard Leach a British potter who trained in Japan and returned to lead the modern pottery movement. Pottery is Japan’s finest art. Not painting.
Love the fairies, beautifully made! Autumn is a lovely time of the year, with all the lovely colours its as if Mother Earth has been kissed by the summer sun, which she has. Goddess Bless to you and dear Jack.xxx
I have an abundance of white yarrow in my yard. It is heat and drought tolerant, as well as the artemisia, and the hyssop runs rampant! We have Rowan trees about the property. I plan on planting more Russian Sage and lavenders this fall when I move the bulbs. I live in high desert now in Montana and miss the gentle Virginia hills. Thank you for the walk!
Colette I love your video! I'm an avid gardener and think it would be great if you sometimes set your camera down and do some chop and drop, show us the tools and how you decide to cut things. I learn by watching and I think lots of people might do if they can see how you do it. Just a thought. I'm behind on digging up my taties, hopefully they will wait for me to catch up!
It looks to be hedge woundwort Collette. The camera blurred a bit as you zoomed but, hedge woundwort is out here in Northern Scotland so, I presume that will be it. 👍💐🌷
Hello Colette, I know it was some time ago but did you ever find out who the Irish artist is who makes these beautiful fairies? I searched under the video but couldn't see any information. Apologies if the info is there somewhere! x
I’m sure more and more birds will breed there due to the excellent food resources and the cover from the trees. You might see a lot more chaffinches migrating your way. Other birds will follow them. Don’t let on if you find an usual bird or the twitchers will be hanging around. I’m an avid birder but not zealous.
I noticed the beautiful floor also as someone commented previously. Also, when you film your door is open. Any problems with mice entering, and if so, how do you handle the issue?
Dear Colette , fantastically beautiful fairy tale characters . Has the creator of the characters a mail address , i am interested. Figs are great fruits 🍉 i harvest them almost every 2 days , a pleasure . Today , the last cottoneaster shrub he is about 130 cm high , i planted him immediately . Yes, I’ve argued for years that the planet doesn’t need us to save her! We need to save our stupid selves.
Gorgeous pottery.

That’s why I hide a key outside, I’ve locked myself out too many times 😣. Blessings.
I call that plant self heal. The one with the tiny orchid like blossoms.
Yes, self-heal, Prunella vulgaris.

Did you do the beautiful mosaic floors in the cottage? They are lovely.
Yes! Thank you!
Wonderful
I LOVE that pottery also! Ceramics was my favorite art class at school.
I so love your tile floors. Did you create them little by little over time as you go or all at once? I'd like to do this in my bungalow home. ☺️🌿🌷🧡
over several years...
@@bealtainecottage ~ Thank you! I won't be so hard on myself then and just start and do what I can little by little as I go! 🥰

And the fairies are Best Ever!!
OMG🧚♀️🤦♀️
Think the purple one is false nettle or is it dead nettle? I've seen them in purple and white.
Rakuten is a Japanese technique using oxidized smoke to get the dark crackle effect
Its raku not Rakuten my phone loves to just add letters here and there
❤🧡💛💜
Is the purple flower self-heal?
I'm not sure...
Is that Self Heal?
Apparently it is Hedge Woundwort.
Thanks Colette!
Is it vipers bugloss
