Hi Colette! One of the reasons I have continued to watch your videos is that you don't stand around talking to the camera! You occasionally show us your work boots or a re-purposed scarf but the land is the star, the nature and elements are what I think you are trying to showcase and I appreciate that. Your voice is steady and soothing, the lack of editing makes for a personal and intimate experience so each video feels like your are talking to a friend. As a viewer, I feel like I am listening to a friend - it's invaluable. Thank you for not giving into the pressure to change your technique on YOUR channel. If the 'complainers' want something different, I agree, they can keep looking! You don't need to change; you're perfect. Keep up the interesting and caring work! With Love- Nicole

I knew as a child that I wanted to follow the ways of Mother Earth, but as a child I was not-- well, I wasn't encouraged or discouraged, but I was not a courageous child so I stayed passive. I always wanted to garden, grow and stock my own herbs and remedies, and celebrate the phases of the moon, but these were considered "hippie" things to do and boy I hated labels. I'm now 45 and finally feel ready to live life how I want to, be who I want to be. Society held me back, I was busy with "living life" My loving family, husband and kids are happy for me to be who I want to be, but it's taken me a while to get there. I'm so glad I found your channel because you say what I am thinking and you say it so well. Thank you!

I lost my husband on nov the 8 last year and its not easy to live my life without him. My joy is the garden and mother earth. Viset glastonbury 3 times and I love the place and mother earth is important for me and for everybody.I am glad that I found bealtaine cottage how ? just say it was the meaning.......and it gives me so much joy to start further on with my garden planting trees , and flowers for birds en bees.. To watch the video in te evening on my bed it makes me happy. I dont watch the news of other idiot station who tells us what we do wrong. I love nature and love to be in the woods with my dog. I started to learn about herbs , medication pure nature... Its a pity that I dont live in a place without people around my with garden tools who make a hell of a noise.........I hope to find one day such a place quiet, and peaceful...........Be blessed.

Blessings from the west coast of Scotland! I love to see and hear all the birds in your garden. I have a climbing jasmine growing up the fence, right at my back window.....it is home to at least 2 dozen or more wee house sparrows who nest there. I love looking down from the bedroom window and watching all their wee squabbles, and the way they sleepily perch with their wee faces pointing up to the sun

After much reflection on your video, I felt a strong need to reply. Colette, you are so so correct in what you say. I live in a old suburban neighborhood and I feel like an alien. Just in the past year my neighbors have taken out five old growth trees probably 100+ years old. I cried. The birds silence was deafening for days after the tree fifty yards from my fence was felled. In my opinion the most beautiful in his yard. I have not a clue why it was removed, it was a tall healthy oak.
Two years ago our neighbors on the other side of me brought in commercial mosquito sprayers with a 36” Tube and they sprayed my shrubs as well as their yard and their children’s play equipment once a month. I had 10 hummingbird nests in my shrubs and they killed all my hummingbirds. This year they were gone and my hummingbirds have started to return. As I was tidying up I brought my 5 hummingbird feeders in for the winter, they have migrated south where it is warmer. I tried to explain to my neighbors that their spray was toxic to all of us and to our animals, it fell on deaf ears. The force which the spray came out was like a wind storm. I finally had to send them a letter and threaten to sue them if they continued to spray towards our property. The mosquitos were breeding in a stagnant old swimming pool in the neighbors behind them. I told them this.
Greenville County is losing five acres of trees a day to development. Flooding is now occurring, oh really? Not to mention lose of animal habitat and the air is considerably less clean, oh really?
I could go on, but I won’t. I plant, plant and plant like our life depends on it and it does. I grew a beautiful pecan tree from seed a pecan grove farmer gave me. I want to send you some, Will this be a problem in customs in Ireland? My sugar maple sapling is 8’ tall this year, I am so proud of it. The sap suckers come in the dead of winter and drink maple sap from the trees. I have photos of them. Just love Mother Earth!
One more thought. I do not believe in coincidences either. My take on it is the the Holy Spirit puts us all where we need to be.
Must run and go shred up the leaves for mulch and compost. This will go on into mid winter. I bought myself a 75th birthday present after seeing one of your videos, a leaf shredder, Happy Birthday to me on November 29th.
Much love to you, Colette and to Jack. You are my Mother Earth goddess go to touch stone.🎃🥰❣️

Joanna Davis I am so sorry to hear about the beautiful trees that got felled near you. I too have had years of watching neighbors cut trees around me, it’s heart wrenching. We have planted over a hundred trees on our 3 acres. Now after 25 years they are tall and wonderful. Good luck with your neighbors who spray for mosquitos...there’s got to be better way. Thank you for being another Earth lover!🌎✨

I do believe in karma too. Colette has been such a positive influence on me. I find myself thinking and what would Colette think about this and her calmness and serenity are a wonderful example. I only have 1/2 an acre, but I love my Mother Earth and plant trees, shrubs, herbs and flowers and plan for more. My Sugar Maple trees are 61 years old, the University of NC tells me they should have died in upstate SC ten years ago. Well, I love them, feed them and nurture them, like all my dogs and cats they are long lived. I pray they will last in my lifetime. Their color is magnificent in the fall. We who treasure Mother Earth have found a soul mate in Colette. What a teacher she is. And, of course it goes without saying that Jack is a reflection of the PermaGodess!

Carolyn Hoover Happy 70th Birthday to you on the 24Th of November. I too was born on Thanksgiving Day 75 years ago.🎃Mother Earth is sending back my hummers and they are nesting in what I refer to as my English garden. I put out five feeders this year and they would fly under the umbrella on the table and let me know they needed fresh sugar water. Isn’t it wonderful, Mother Earth, a joy for the soul. Like mindedness is a joy too. Keep on planting, watching our plants grow is a joy too.

I have pondered on your words today and I share your passion. Both of us are incredibly fortunate that our paths in life have brought us to our land, where our lives are led by the seasons. We are totally surrounded by Mother Earth and we have learnt the hard way to work with her. Our appreciation has come after hard lives, harsh experiences and much sacrifice. We are stripped of a life of consumerism, the need for the unnecessary and learnt to live with and by ourselves. We are no longer brain washed by society's norm and expectations. I feel no smugness over my situation just gratitude as it must be so hard for those so enmeshed in the "rat race" to see, let alone evaluate how enslaved they are. Lead by example and reaching out may well turn the tide. There are many youngsters out there that are having their eyes opened, personally I have hosted many raw "Woofers" on my farm who have left me changed people, more mature, self developed and aware. There is hope.
p.s. Keep ranting, it provokes great thought : ) So glad Jack is on the mend.

I think in some ways this is about YOU - this is about how YOU, one individual has shown that the action of one individual can change things. If YOU didn't do this then who would. YOU have shown that an individual can have a relationship with nature, with Mother Earth, whatever one may call it and within a short space of time can change things. YOU have shown that we can all be that person. YOU have more right than any scientist, than any politician to say ... this is how it is in the here and now - this is my experience, this is my positive experience of having a loving relationship with Mother Earth. Thank you for being YOU

I've been talking to me since I was 18. And these last 15 years or so, I'm always talking with my deceased family members as well when they come to visit. I added my husband of 44 years to that bunch on 10/24/19 and we have had a couple of visits now. I find that talking like that and just letting it all "hang out" so to speak, is also good therapy for me. I also get some great pearls of wisdom from them too. Sometimes I am amazed by what they tell me. And it has helped me be able to laugh at myself much easier. How can I not learn when they are laughing with me, eh?

What you are saying is important to me. So much so that even though I had no intention of subscribing to your channel, I have done that. In 1972 I looked out over Silicon Valley, and my heart sank. I saw the change from orchards and fields, into parking lots and cars and concrete. Recently, I discovered Guy McPherson. He's a scientist who is putting all the science together, and making dire predictions. I know about the aerosol masking effect. If we stop using petroleum, it is likely that global temperatures will skyrocket in literally weeks. I was a member of his forum for a while; Until I started making suggestions on how we can turn this mess around. I've been frustrated for half a century. But what you've pointed out in this talk is so valuable. I've turned my conscious gaze towards that special thing which brings renewal and life. This is not denial. But it is a form of survival, even if short lived. I am tired of living in frustration. I want to be alive as I live. It just feels right. I have always marveled in the specialness of this world. Its destruction is what brought me great anxiety. And so I'm now turning to it for renewal within me as well.

Colette completely agree. There is one word for me that sums up the human race, greedy. I see it time and time again, certain people on this planet, and there are a lot of them, have so so much, they have expensive houses, cars, plenty of money etc etc and all I see them do is go after more and more and more. Like vultures they are right there and I know people like this and I honestly don't know how they sleep at night because every waking minute of their lives are spent chasing money and material things and they get so desperate to out do one another, "is my car better than your's?" "Do I earn more money than you?" All I can say is it must be bloody exhausting for them! They are so dissatisfied even though they have millions to begin with! Needless to say these people, whom I know quite well I am sorry to say, have no interest in the natural things in life, mother earth, nature. Sadly they have no recognition of anything other than their own grab reflexes! I try to live my life so differently, although I am far from perfect, and pity people like this who cannot stand still long enough to see the beauty around them. That is my rant over with for another day!! Love to you and Jack xx

Thanks Beautiful! I feel same about ego. Too many are jumping and shouting, “Look at ME look at ME, I did this mommy aren’t I special?” - Especially here in the States. God forbid you are a gruff man doing this. Talk about the world not being able to handle it! While you can see what has happened while living with her, I have hiked in the wilds of the Rockies and have seen what happens when she is abused. If that experience doesn’t change you, then the word being a “virus” comes to mind when describing my clearly mentally ill species. Mother just may need to erupt and shake off the fleas. You know I often feel disconnected, depressed and overwhelmed, but once I get into my tiny innercity garden. Suddenly, no gradually, well it's actually a movement or process of which I'm not even aware but that I know later from the effect because then everything makes sense and understanding seems to come naturally. The trick is to be able to carry it back inside, you know. I sometimes joke that I need a bag of soil inside to stick my hands in over winter, just to keep my sanity! But it's not just that of course, outside there is a certain force or presence that carries me. Blessings to you!

I often talk to my mom and my aunt’s even my biological dad who passed away when I was but a young child. I ask them to pray for my family and even my friend’s. It’s comforting to me and often I receive life’s greatest answers even miracle’s by doing this. Life is a beautifully connected gift. I absolutely loved and appreciated this video. Thank you Collette. PS so happy Jack is feeling better. Amazing how quickly they heal when not given antibiotics. Amazing how quickly we heal when not given antibiotics.♥️

Colette I did smile- you ARE your beautiful Eden!!! I see you in all the shafts of sunlight on the leaves, hear you in the happy chirrups of the birds- see you reflected in the love of Jack- which is still near you whether we see him or not. You are in all you have created and all you have poured your dear love into.......🌻🦋🐕🌈

Totally agree. As much as I love to see your face now and then I do prefer the scenery of Beltaine cottage. Out of over a 1,000 pics on my insta acc there’s only 2 pics of me and they are recent due to my birthday. I can’t stand selfies at the best of times. I’d much rather see decor, scenery of Mother Earth, vegan food, Celtic Goddesses, etc etc.

I love your philosophy on life. It is always enriching listening to your words - I never fail to have a realisation moment 😁 The more we try and control things, the more we realise we don't have control. It is human conceit and arrogance - mind control used to feed power and greed. I feel I connect less and less with others. Our egos can't compare with nature. Our egos can't compete! Thank you for your perspective and input 🤗.

Just like Jack. I am dead sure that in one of his many prior lives he must have been a great author in Vienna because he still loves talking so much, has so much to tell And (!!!!) goes absolutely crazy whenever a cup of fresh coffee is around. He loves the smell. ☕
Love💖to everyone here and kisses and hugs for Jack and you

Oh that psychic connection happens to me all the time, also if I say something out loud it can happen even if it’s mad and random. I am very careful about what I speak into being. Disconnection as a root of problems, Colette I agree. As an abuse survivor my disconnect was massive, it is my garden that is healing me, Mother Earth does has I worked out, she’s showing me the way.

I get what you mean by your soul being fed by nature. After going through break up and feeling v lonely I've found great comfort in nature, gardening and being in nature. Nature is a constant (or so we hope). I love how u make pots of tea and have your morning cup of coffee. It's all these things that are good for the soul 😊 p.s. I would like to know more about you though, it is interesting to hear people's life journey and how they come to a certain perspective on life x

If people would squash half of their egos the world would be a much better place. 😉 I am with you Colette, life is engaging with nature and experiencing the joy and other benefits that come from being in that mindset. A simple life is peace. Money can’t buy any of that. My husband and I recently had the good fortune to see the California redwoods of Muir Woods. Mr John Muir was a fascinating man deeply connected to the natural world. I cannot tell you how truly humbling it felt to stand amongst those fabulous giants. The pure clean smell of the forest was something I will never forget. I don’t think there is anything on our bucket list that isn’t somehow nature related.

As a long ago child, raised as a reluctant Catholic, it was drummed into me to sin and do wrong would certainly see me cast into Hell. Languishing in Limbo, should enough prayers be received to save my soul. The church knew it all. Still does! Who has ever come back and told us how it is? !! Ooh it insences me, the people who know exactly what will happen. 😠😠😠

I have two adult daughters and one adult son. What you said about thinking of them and they suddenly contact you happens with us all the time. We make little jokes about it but, I know it is true and real. And my mother and grandmother are gone from this world yet I sometimes feel them around me.
