@Palshoej Hmmmm...could be, but we haven't used it. Guess I'll have to explore! Great tips on additional cleaning -- we also soak our baskets and PF as well when we go through this cycle. - Kat
@spyrmak I don't know; the idea is that you must clean it properly after using because the damage to the machine can be significant over time if you don't. - Kat
@FishAddiction22 Yeah, it's not because it is or isn't a thermoblock; this addresses the solenoid valve itself (no interaction with the boiler setup) and so if your machine doesn't have this, then you don't have to clean it ;) - Kat
Ten seconds seems like a lot more than you did on your video of backflushing the Silvia. Do you think you would recommend the 10 second flush on a Silvia?
Is there not a automatic cleaning program on the MP version of the GS/3? There is on my! and I always take of the shower screen and soap it in a bowl of urnex during backflush.
hi!! is it possible you to help me about back flushing because right now i have problem issue everytime i try to back flush my gs3 mp the water is not come out what do you think is the main problem or what do you think is the best solution you can suggest to solve the issue in my gs3? thank you 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
hai. i have a question. if i have a dual boiler machine in which i just use for home and i rinse the brew head with cafiza and also soak the portafilter and basket with the solutions for about 5 min before rinsing them every night. (i just make 3-4 cups everyday), does the chemical can harm my equipments if i do it so often?
Hello Reiichi Kawaii, Cafiza is specifically made in such a way that it is safe to use everyday and should not harm your machine. I would just make sure you thoroughly rinse all components after each wash. ~ Sarah
Seattle Coffee Gear another question, what should the cleaning tablets for breville dual boiler weigh? There are so many out there and breville doesn't mention it in the manual. 2grams, 1.6grams.. or 1.3grams?
Reiichi Kawaii Hello! If you're under Breville's warranty we recommend using the Breville branded cleaning tablets. However, if you're outside of warranty you can use other brands and if the cleaning tablet isn't fully dissolved and used by the end of the cleaning cycle, you could always run the cleaning cycle again as it doesn't harm the machine to do more cleaning! The Breville cleaning tablets weigh approx. 2 grams, while the Full Circle tablets weigh 1.2 grams. ~ Miranda
I like this guy. He's got FUCK tattooed on his knuckles, and then he is a big advocate for pre-dosed cleaning tablets for coffee machines. That's a nice blend :-)

I love these videos. I've learned so much from them. Thanks.
@whiskeyminute We generally do 5; it's really until you start hearing the pump labor just a bit. - Kat
@coolcattune They both seem to foam equally -- Kat
@snedie69er Yes -- Monin is all we sell right now, syrups-wise...they're our fave - Kat

Are those monin syrups? The ginger one has to be my favourite.

Ha! It sounded as if Kat called the Urnex rep, wee-wee. Made me laugh, until I read the description. Sidenote, Louie's tattoos are sweet.
