I did instant locing of my own hair to keep it from unraveling and is also an option in addition to what you mentioned. It still allowed me to go through the stages thus far. I am 7 months in.

Your locs look great! I have watched several of your videos from the beginning of your loc journey until now. It is awesome to see the transformation your hair has made! I have recently started locs with two strand twists and was worried about the "ugly phase." Your journey has given me the courage to complete the process and wait for the wonderful reward of beautifully locked hair. Thank you for sharing your journey!

Thank you so much!💖 Honestly despite how my hair was looking at my so called "ugly phase" I still felt beautiful. My intro for my videos at that time had my hair in that state and stage lol. If you can love yourself no matter or despite outside appearance. You truly can do anything. Congrats on starting 👏🏾your journey.

Your locs look gorgeous Iris. Great video i can relate so much to this content. I installed my locs myself too ,no regrets . Definitely agree you have to be patient with the process as it's so tempting to comb out the locs when they become frizzy . I embraced this frizzy , shrinking stage as I realized that I would only experience it once.

Hi Michelle. Thank you for letting me know you can relate. Sometimes I'm not sure what to post. So I'm trying to pick topics I can relate to with my journey. Yes! With each stage you realize it is temporary and different for everyone. Take Care💖

No worries. The struggles still come and go even now that I'm currently 18 months. Loving yourself through it all regardless is what matters. Thank you and take care.✌🏾💖

@@IrisStyleInc is there any product in particular you use for hair growth or just maintaining my locs outside of professional care?

Excuse me excuse me I just want to say Irish your lock look great your locks look great but I started my locks in 2008 and I didn't have no problem I never in my life went to a beautician and 2017 when my son passed away my locks was all the way down my back and I cut them I restarted them over and it's not a problem I mean because I've been doing locks and 1996 and I never had a problem with starting my locks at my house it was a very easy journey and it's a easy journey now but I understand what you say for some people it may not be an easy journey and my locks were neat and beautiful as they are now I mean very neat and I had small locks I love it kind of small locks I didn't love thick thick thick rocks and my hair I had so many compliments on my hair that people wanted me to do advertising for them if though they had hit my locks and my son has all the way almost down his butt I've been doing his locks since he was 3 years old and it's a very easy journey very easy but thank you for your video and keep up your great work 👌🏾💯❤️
