Jordan wore #9 in the Olympics. Kobe wore #10.
I never peeped that! He was obsessed!!!
Thats a competitor Kobe was different
😂
Right I always peeped this and thought ppl got it. RIP24!
Kobe wore #10 because in international tournaments with fiba it’s only number 4 up to number 15. Number 10 is considered mr do everything in soccer as Kobe was in basketball. He had also said he wore it cause of Messi is another reason.
Coincidentally, Kobe was *24 years old* when MJ retired.
SAY WORD?!🤯🤯🤯🤯
Coincidentally Kobe died the day after LeBron passed him on the scoring list
More like ironically.
@@tiguerrilla8567 and Lebron passed him vs Philly (Kobe’s hometown) and the lakers won the championship on 10/11/20. That equals up to 41. The same age Kobe passed away at. Just a couple crazy coincidences
I see sum of y'all woke on here with the comments. That's gud to see! Have y'all eva thought Kobe faked his death hard to believe huh when they tells us all Dem oda ppl was on dat helicopter but that's wat they want us to believe. So with that being said coincidentally Kobe died right before COVID hmm🤔
And Michael Jordan was his mentor he took Michael Jordan game and put it with his game and it was awesome rest in peace Kobe Legend
He was his idol not his mentor jordan was a horrible mentor lol look how them pics turned out in charlotte
Micheal jackson was actually his mentor kobe said it his self
Indeed.
Kobe was the son that MJ always wanted
That prob true, but that's also kinda messed up for the 'barely athletic at best' sons that MJ already has.
Iont know how this don’t got the most likes what his sons couldn’t accomplish on the court he could😂
@@dustinharrison3491what you mean he got jimmy buckets and anthony edwards
You meant the dad that Kobe always wanted to be like😂😂😂😂
MJ may have wanted him as a son,, Because Michael Jordan sons wasn't ballers at all.
Respect to that young man in the future that makes 25 the number 1 selling jersey of his generation.

Kobe will never be forgotten.

Kobe: I'm that Too
😂😂😂😂😂💪🏾💪🏾🤦🏾🤦🏾
I appreciate how KG along with Shaq, remind the world of basketball and in general. Kobe’s true gangster and true assassin. Thank you KG for the continued love for Mamba.
Kobe so full of Ambition & would out challenge any1!!!!!! Love that Man!!!!
Love his Mind!!!! There's no comparison!
Not only that it showed he worked on his game 24/7 he also wore 8 2x4 is 8 hence he had both jerseys retired I don’t think no other player has done that Kobe was special 💪🏾
@ericcornute6110 REACH DEEZ NUTZ YOU 🤡
@Eric CORNUTE nah he right mamba said it himself two fours is 8 so his number didnt change just his game. Are you the same animal but a different beast?
@Eric CORNUTE he is right though 😊
shid mike had a jersey retired on a team he didnt even play on. top that!
@@tnxjesus a trash team at that lol
Kobe originally wore #24 in high school but then switched to #33. When he was traded to the Lakers he couldn't wear Kareem's # and someone else had #24 at the time so he chose #8. So he chose #24 later because he said he wanted to get back to his roots in the second part of his career.
Chasing and catching is to totally different results.
Kobe put forth a valiant effort but to no AVAIL

Kobe said after Shaq he had to be three times better to win championships.
He said that to the media these Athletes are media trained like politicians to say what’s politically correct and what people wanna hear they don’t come in these interviews and be 100% honest ever even when they mad and blowing steam and ranting they still never be 100% honest and they never say exactly how they truly feel they dance around it

Kobe said he went with 24 because every 24 hrs was a new day to put in the work.
Yes I read that he felt because of the 24 hours in each day !
Was gonna like this comment, but it's at likes already, and I'll leave it at 8 for kobe.
I always knew this as a kid. Everybody quotes what Kobe said it was for but it always was a message and to Mike… But also his Dad. JellyBean (Kobe’s Dad) played with #23 in Philly. Kobe was hyper competitive and he was putting the world on notice: “I’m a new animal and the same beast.”

He was too. He deserved it and earned it. Even mj said kobe was the only one he couldn’t take one on one. Mj gave Kobe his flowers.
Mj NEVER said that. If he did, find it and post the link. I'll wait.......
Kobe said himself he was a carbon copy of Jordan and the copy could never be better than the original.
MJ never said this...he named a bunch of players he would love to play in his prime and he ended it with "I wouldn't lose, except maybe to Kobe because HE STEALS ALL MY MOVES"
@rightful one That literally means I'm better than everyone except maybe him(Kobe). Jordan knew no one could beat him except himself and Kobe was the closest we ever had to another Jordan.
@Vash Cross NO it doesn't....read it again. He never said anyone was better than him...he saying Kobe may win bc he steals my moves. Meaning only someone who can be a clone of MYSELF can come close. Shaq could play bully ball on MJ and maybe steal a one on one game...but who was the better player?
Yup them be FACTS✊🏾💪🏾
I’ve said this forever. Love to hear KG say it
But it’s not true. It’s just a funny story.
Kobe was my guy. He was my generation. He played for my team. He was my GOAT. Rest in peace to my idol. And rest in peace to Gigi & everyone we lost that tragic day. 💜💛🐍 #KobeForever
Kobe was a great player, Because he was obsess with being like MJ so much that he did double what MJ would do. Kobe would call MJ 2am in the morning for advice 🤔
So Kobe has 12 rings ?
Kobe embodied Mike. In every way. Even the tounge. Think about it. Those who think deeper know this already. His game, swagger, walk, talk, everything was Jordan.
And thats why I'm not impressed. It's like when you heat a new artist remake a classic song but don't make it better. The song got play just bc it was already hot. Kobe simply didn't bring anything new to the game like Shaq, AI, MJ, Lebron, steph, and more
We old schools call that biting.Copy cat for the slow.
Until he turned into the black mamba. That's a beast even Jordan gets nightmares about. Kobe was the same beast but a different animal.
Kobe was like counterfeit money, cheap $2 bill
Kobe said it was 24 hours in a day but I always said it's because he was 1 better than Jordan
This. Is exactly what he said 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙏🏽🙏🏽
Facts he definitely said it this way but I think people implied the other reason of being better than MJ but hearing Kobe stories it's not really a stretch he just never said it
I think it was he’s next in line, but he wasn’t close to Jordan. Sorry🤷♂️
Well I'm going with what Kobe said lol
Mike wore #9 at olympics, Kobe wore #10.
MIKE HAS PROVEN THAT HE IS AND WAS THE BEST PLAYER PERIOD

The GOAT that he admired. Kobe always said MJ was the greatest player to ever play the game.
Kobe said the number 24 represents..this is the day. Like do or die. It was a reminder 🎗️ to play each game like if was the last.
Kobe chased it,chased it..💯

Kobe said himself " he believe Michael Jordan " is the GREATEST OF ALL TIME " Including his idol.
It's really not that subtle. But what people get tripped up with is thinking it's a shot at Mike. It's actually a compliment. Striving to push past the greatest to ever do it. That's how Kobe lived his life. Quite admirable to say the least.
You know why Michael wore 23? Cuz his brother wore 45 and he felt like he was half the player his older brother was.... MJ is humble af at his core
Facts.
I bend regid metallic conduit and when I bend a 3 point saddle on a 45* angle for the center bend I MUST bend the two outter bends at 22 1/2* degres which is exactly half of 45. 23 is more than half of 45. 23 is half of 46. I’m just saying…..

There wasn't anyone that didn't know this. If only he paid as much attention to his own affairs.
He changed to 24 after the Suns game 7 "quit" game when he only took 3 shots in the second half finishing with 24 points. That game was his statement to the lakers to get him better players or trade him and was the turning point of Kobes post-shaq career.

I knew it! That’s why Ben Simmons wore #25 in Sixers.
Literally everyone knew that. I don’t even watch basketball and I knew that. Kevin Garnett is the type of person that’ll walk up to a crime scene and tell people… “It’s hot around here. If you got warrants, this ain’t the place for you.”
"And I took that personally....so I outlived him and won the ultimate battle." - Mike
