You forget to motion Higgledy Gaggle. When you get a bonus for teaming up certain Higgledys. For an example if you only have Higgledy with bows or flowers on there head you will activate the bonus Team Lovely. This bonus will give your team a healing boost.

Thank Christ somebody explained this. I'm level 40 and haven't even tackled any of this and feel like I'm missing out on something to make those Challenge enemy's easier or Dream Doors.

Your Higgledy team that you mentioned at the end is very powerful too, although I swapped out Flapwaggle the Feathery for Claptrap the Kingly as he also has the Higgledy Sirrah move but with even more damage.
Just bought ni no kuni from the playstation store sale, these guides are invaluable for my playthrough since the game doesn't really go to much into detail and there isn't too much thorough detail online. I wish there was a function were you could press a button and your video guides would play in game lol.

Oh my gosh thanks so much, I just picked the game up this weekend & while I'm loving every minute of it these little cuties were really confusing.
I especially appreciate a whole lot how these things are set in stone, especially after Xenoblade 2's weird gatcha mechanic! (seriously, I've got 1 random Blade left & they add *more* randoms and this was before I got the Golden Country+season pass).

I don't know if you or anyone else realized this but you've basically created the "Knights of the Round/Mime class" combo from FF7 with that Higgledy setup.

damnit..i’m already done with the main story, leveled up chars to almost 80, and all this time, i thought you’ll need to go inside the circle to activate the elemental bonus of a skill..i’m doing it all wrong! was waiting for circle to appear for nothing.. thanks for the guide!

They're an improvement over the pokemon aspect of the 1st game, but my God you weren't kidding about the absolute lack of explanation.
I basically went through the whole game ignoring them until now, as I'm doing the DLC and attempting the platinum.

Great video but there is still a thing im trying to figure out. Are the powered up spells from higgledies the same as the powered up spells from weapon meters? Because animation wise they appear to be the same.

Currently late in the game and I COMPLETELY forgot about the skill higgledy charging/absorbing mechanic. I thought the Higgledy numbers next to my spell upgrades meant that i needed that number of higgledies present in battle lol.

One big downside is that the time you waste waiting for them to come to you can be used to cast more skills and do more dps.
Where did you get this information from? I just want to verify it's correct. There's literally nowhere else on the internet that describes their personality traits as correlating to specific battle action prioritization. Where did you get these facts?

I love the higgledies - they are really cute and funny.
If an enemy is weak to fire then the fire higgledy is not going to do a wholelot hurt however if they are weak to fire then that higgledy is going to do a lot of damage..wait what did u say? lol. Great video though, very helpful

I’ve seen 5 types of orbs in this game
Green is HP
Blue is MP
Gold drives character to superpower
Pink is like some kind of currency in Maze
But what about white orb that glows slightly light blue and light pink ? I don’t know what is that

Hi. Great video. I’m new to the game and at the Sky Pirate Base and I’m a bit confused with Higgildies (it doesn’t take a lot )
I have Runcible,Rhiff Raff and Filigree at the moment.
You’re supposed to be able to press and hold R2 to be able to use them to improve your spells but the only thing I can do is use the cannon skill by pressing X in a circle with one set of white Higgildies,is this because I’m too early in the game yet to use the others yet with my spells? Thanks in advance for any info.
I know this is an old post but the reason why is because you can only hold the button to power up spells after you upgrade them at the spell workshop in your kingdom
Do you need to rebuild the number of higgledys after using an empowered spell? Like they are consumed?

I think the team shown in the beging of video is the same team he said he is using, but i am reading comments just to be certain! :))
He has another video with the same set, so i am quite positive the set he mentions is the set in the very begining of video.
He uses Popple the Pure & Frabjous the Fusilier (whites) that have the Higgledy Sirrah ability (summon knights, player activated).
His other 2 are Flapwaggle the Feathery and Gyre the Flyer (greens) because they have the "Me too, Me too" ability which mimics other higgledys player activated attacks (these higgledys will randomly mimic another's attack on its own). Basically you trigger one of your whites Sirrah ability, then the greens have a CHANCE of mimicking the Sirrah ability without player help.
Scroll your higgledy list though because there are other HIGHER level higs that also have "Me too" ability so your team isn't just 2 whites and 2 green's. Charnel the Churlish is a level 3 purple hig that has "Me too" ability for example.
If your higgledy team only has 2 colors, you can only charge those 2 colored spells. (If you only had blues and reds , you would only be able to power up your characters water and fire spells for example). Dont handicap yourself.

There''s a spell you can learn called Retrial which allows you to fight the Kingmakers again. It's learnt at the Spellworks in Evermore

They are pretty useless early on but become game changing late game and in expert .i ignore them for half the game
